Does this also include the flangeless drivers?

Hello, Does anyone know where I can find Studio files for Ben Fleskes XXL or similar sized steam locomotive drivers? I've tried looking around and it seems the he only provides files for LDraw on his website. If I could get my hands on something similar that would be very useful. Thanks! I just also read on Trained Bricks that Studio should take LDraw files but I've also tried importing it that way using the instructions that they provided but it doesn't seem to work on my windows pc.

Definitely choice number 1. Considering what TLG has produced with the swiss crocodile at 7 studs wide, a medium sized steam locomotive that utilizes standard Lego steam train wheels in appropriate scale might look quite nice. Side rods would still be a concern. I was revisiting a older ideas post by shortbricks, https://ideas.lego.com/projects/275a6534-5dd0-49a0-972f-5929d4b29c4d, which could make for a highly plausible 18+ creator set. The f7 locomotive in Santa Fe Warbonnet scheme is quite iconic, and in a 7 wide scale could fit a good amount of detail, much like the crocodile. A revamp of a previous classic.

Nice Build! I still can't believe how many functions you fitted into such a tiny body. Steering mechanism looks great!

I like how the pilots and shape of the fuel tank look with the use of a winch(?) as the coupling. Can't wait to see further progress!

I've tried attaching one of the axels from the leading truck to the driving wheels and making them on set on shorter locomotive wheelbases to avoid them from conflicting with the cylinders.

Nice job, I like how the display track modification ties into the style of the locomotive.- 5 replies

I'm a tfol relatively new to the lego railroading hobby and I am currently searching for the pieces necessary for future builds. What are some common bricks you usually order in bulk/pieces that are commonly used in steam locomotive designs?

Thank you!

I am new to the lego train hobby and was wondering about how trustworthy websites like Big Ben Bricks and Trained Bricks are. I am looking forward to using their products to build my next train. How were your experiences with their websites?
