I'm a 46 year young Lego fan from the south of the Netherlands.
My Lego story is a pretty classic one: played a lot with Lego in my "younger years" (Classic Space is still my personal favorite), then entered the dark age.
About 7/8 years ago I chose to "dust off" the old Lego again (my kids were old enough now). I had a blast sorting out all that stuff!
So, that's when it all came back. Been playing with the bricks off and on, nowadays. Visited some shows; mainly to show the rest of the family what cool things you can build, and to show that we need lots more bricks ;-)
How I came to this forum is another story. I was building a chairlift based on pneumatic tubes. However, all the tubes I had were of varying length (and color).
So, I was looking for a place to buy a long length of tube. I found that in one of the posts here. The chairlift now works (it's on Ideas actually), partly thanks to the info on this forum!
So, thanks for that!
