  1. Very difficult to say. That ship can easily be made in many different scales from the one we got allready and up to a meter long with 5000 parts and a 500$ pricetag (which would make it the biggest flying greeble ever ) Going really huge to could provide lots of interesting building techniques and colours. Something huge that is not just a big freaking triangle for once could be awesome Edit : I'm talking about the Nebbie only. The bomber would have been UCS Tie size surely

    LEGO Trains 2021

I'm sure you meant "makes", but in fact you answered your own question instead
  3. Some sets do reach one million units as they're produced over more than one year
  4. Pneumatic actuators need to be used from time to time or else the rubber seals go bad
  5. It is. First one to come up with an integrated electric powered pneumatic pump that doesn't destroy the looks/build is a real true modern hero (cape not needed) Who's first?
  6. Sure, they've done OT several times over and no-one wants DT. So, PT is all that's left More MBS, imho. The Ewok village and the Cantina was/are very popular. Heck they could even do a big ESB Hoth MBS one day
  7. Ok, sorry about that then Edit : So these are planetary reduction hubs, where the axle is aligned with wheel, and not portal axles where the input sits higher than the wheel axle, am I correct?
  8. I get your point (and I always like your "to the point" threads/answers), but it's also not hard to look the average pay in those countries 37-130K$ is not just not right in those contries, sorry
  9. While I don't doubt a receptionist IN DK earns 37K$ at TLG, the median pay is not 130K$. I know quite a number of people wroking there and most them do not earn that, even if they hold a rather high positions. Also, the "Director of sales" earns 234K$ is also silly. TLG have a LOT of "directors" Sh1te beer. If it have to be Carlsberg, the Porter is where it's at. and that is actually world class
  10. https://brickset.com/article/60133/review-42128-heavy-duty-tow-truck At the end of the review Edit : "BS" is brickset.com and "Huw" is Huw Millington, the reviewer (and owner of BS) and a longtime LEGO nerd for decades
  11. And modified the white panels on the cabin to be flush with the orange parts. Looks much better. It might even be possible to extend the blue line all the way to the back of the vehicle Edit : Talking about Huw's mod on BS
  12. Acurate because those ships are just CGI? Even the old 7181 had a much cooler interior in the cockpit It would be difficult to design landing gear because the whole ship in itself do not make a lot of sense. It's clearly modelled after helicopters, but having such large opening doors and back ramp with no supporting middle structure is not realistic. Not even in the SW universe. Imho, that is
  13. TLG really should stop making these vehicles that can be driven outdoors. Feels like none of the designers ever had a Tamiya kit in 80's LEGO is NOT suitable for that! Parts come off, the motors are weak, the app control is silly and the thing will get dirty and clogged up in sand and mud Also, I thought the whole point of portal axles was to gain ground clearance as well as end-reduction at the wheels? Thanx fro the review though, very honest as always Perhaps it's not a good idea to use SW images as it may get stricked down? Also, needs more animals. I expect to see some giraffes and snakes next time
  14. Some of thoise voting we're most likely not born when 7181 was around
  15. I do not any interest in modern Technic, but this is a proper set! And like you said, no need for stickers Recently I got a non-LEGO friend hooked on Technic (he build the Porsche GTR (the white one) as it was part of a special sale here). i'm going to forward this review to him and recommend it highly I'm not fond of the high mounting of the crane arm, but I can see lowering it may interfere with the pneumatic tubes. Still the up/down pivot the arm does not look beefy enough to me And please TLG DO make a solution for 1x1 pistons. The brickbuild engine looks cool/well propertioned, but works rather poor (compared to the old 2x2 blocks with proper crankshaft) All in all, nice review of a very nice set with a nice price for once
  16. Set looks horrible with all those different coloured pins and axles. Pretty sure +18 people could manage black pins and axles only
  17. We're still missing a FO AT-ST head .. they could go full UCS on that On a more serious note : I do not think this set will sell very well, much like Obi's starfighter (that's the word we're using right now, right?) It would have been better if it was minifig scaled, had +10 minifigs and be around 250$. Throw in a bit of landscape and it's a MBS set I got a feeling that many who voted for the gunship do not actually know what UCS means (hence the minigi dissapointment) and personally I do not think this ship benefits from that treatment at all. I'm sure many will be sureprised just how freaking large it is At this scale I would expect to see much elaborate cockpits and interior. I'm not too familiar with the ship, but there must be stairs internally to get to the dual pilot seats, no? Seats inside? Other neat stuff? Landing gear? Even the guns at front looks straight from a normal set Many of the PT ships are rather problematic to make in UCS scale (sleakness, chrome etc), but I think a bunch of pod-racers would be cool. Very different from OT, cool colours, wierd shapes. Very easy to do with LEGO parts. Make a new one each year. 200$ and only ONE (the actual pilot) minifig to display on the stand next to the (most probably misspelled) sign with incorrect data The Scimitar is the only one I could see being made in the future Cheers, Ole
  18. Yeah, that's exactly what Milan the MOD would say. Personally I've never seen Milan and Milan in the same room ... hmmm Lol! I hope for their sake that TLG have banned every employee from reading Youtube and Instagram comments That sh1te needs a complete head replacement to recover from

    Indiana Jones 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

Sounds like a scene from "Life's too short" season 2!
  20. Actually, I pulled _that_ number out of my rear end as I cannot remember the right one Fact is, that technically yes, no two towers of LEGO bricks will have equal height. But it's not really noticable, not even on a grand scale
  21. Lol, those numbers are totally made up. TLG is a private company, what they pay their employees are not something they post online, nor something silly websites like that have inside information about They have factories in Hungary, Mexico and China. Don't tell me a receptionist in those countries makes +37K$ a year TLG also invests VAST amounts in infrastructure, machinery, education, LEGO House, future products (and in the old days, even housing projects, a freaking airport, LEGOland) etc Not of all of those sweet billion dollars ends up in the Kirk family's pockets Sure, the KIRKBI pool of gold is rather large. TLG could make any mould, any product, any set, heck they could revive the entire CS line in the correct colours, moulds and boxes with very little problem But they choose not to. And that is their decision Cheers, Ole
  22. Are the pistons moving when you turn the frontwheels?
  23. This is the problem with going studless. there simply are not the right LEGO parts to go all the way, so when you do see studs in a mostly studless design, they stick out like a sore thumb You can wait a couple of decades for the right parts to come or you can just embrace the studs Afterall, no studs, no LEGO
