All that sounds like gibberish to me, I can only do BASIC Fanø (Fanö) is real nice, enjoy! -
TLG actually made rather few new moulds for the first wave of SW, about 20 I think? Edit : http://faberfiles.blogspot.com/2015/07/flashback-lego-and-star-wars.html And : So, with Advance (the marketing company working for TLG back then), getting involved in 1997, TLG surely was allready gearing up to SW before that Cheers, Ole

LEGO 42129 Zetros VS custom-built LEGO trial trucks
1974 replied to Sariel's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
It's very easy, EVERY trial LEGO truck, be it official or a MOC is complete and utter crap compared to proper RC trucks LEGO is not, and will never be, usefull for this purpose. TLG should NEVER have designed sets that people might take outdoors Proper RC trucks are actually not that more expensive than this set in question, btw In my opinion Technic all went to shit with the first RC vehicle (the dozer in 07?)- 64 replies

I disagree 100% Anyway, here's my unpopular opinion : I'm here for the bricks, not the social agenda

Earlier acting on problem-giving subjects
1974 replied to Lira_Bricks's topic in Forum Information and Help
All subjects that are not about LEGO. and this being a website dedicated to LEGO, those issues should be taken elsewhere I too want to be safe -
You just called me homophobic. How's that tolerance going for ya, mate?

I've not read that thread and it sounds like you've shouldn't either I'm sorry that some a-holes attacked you, they need to be booted right off this website (and the planet in general) I did not complain, 'cause I'm not reading that sh1tshow and I also don't care about such issues on this website There are other places to debate that Cheers, Ole

TLG have many hundreds of moulding machines. The machines, not the actual moulds, are very expensive. They too get worn out and newer, cheaper options emerge. So it's anever ending quest to streamline the entire process
-
Using a website dedicated to toys to talk about social issues. Well done "Lego" (TLG) also says that modern military sets/figs are a no-go, why don't the moderators step in and remove those MOCs? TLG does not own this site, it's up to the actual owners to decide what can be posted here
-
We stand by the bricks, the company stands by the revenue. The moderation here seems to fluctuate between those two points And I'm okay with that Edit : Also, please remember that TLG is very much still run by the Kirk family that belongs to a fringe christian group that very much do NOT approve of anything LGBT+

42126 - Ford F150 Raptor
1974 replied to Ngoc Nguyen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
i'm from the generation where we raced our 853s/8860s/8865s around endlesly, day after day. Adding bodyworks, extra wheels and whatnot contraptions. Lights, bigger engines and whatever we had at hand. Everything was cool. We had fun. Lots of fun. For years .. Now, as an adult I look at these modern supercars. They all look like broken china. Can't check the suspension as it only have one stud af travel (which is also about the flex of LEGO parts in general), fancy gearbox that hardly works and an engine that's covered up that you cant see I get the +18 label .. no kid would want that shit -

"Dark matter is a hypothetical form of matter" .. Much like TLG's idea of those +18 fans that will now flock to Technic -

Maybe we do not all think that. This is cheap, non sophisticated mass-prodiuced electronics. While those parts do sell for +150$, the parts are definitly not worth it to me One of my other hobbies are proper RC cars and you can get much more fancy electronics, much more powerfull motors from smaller MFGs with noi problem LEGO is expensive for one reason only -

[REVIEW] 42128 - Heavy-duty Tow Truck
1974 replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
That was the last studless set I bought. Worked rather nicely, but I do remember it getting some flack for both combining LAs and pneumatic? Thought that was rather silly The outriggers that do not extent to the sides but are behind the last set of wheels seem to be much more used on european trucks. Which themselves are quite different looking from US trucks Also, that pic of that truck ... Doesn't look like it has outriggers at all (it's not a "rotator" btw) ... And would have severe problems navigating european roads The deco is cool, but not needed on this LEGO set, imho -
It's rather simple, as Klaus-Dieter allready answered his own and your question : It's because those sell very well The Creator cars have a proven trackrecord of revenue, the mosaics and botanical sets not so much ... yet. And it's all down to those pesky "focus groups" that seem to love stuff like this and not trains Only thing you can do, as a train fan, is to buy the train sets available Also, every LEGO set is a dust collector
