    (W.I.P.) EITC-Ship "Wicked Wench"

I actually thought about building the Wicked Wench, but true to the Disney ride instead of the move. However, this is a great rendition of the pearl before she was burnt. I really like the use of the pearl gold under the galleries. I would try and break up the brown in one more place with a different color, or mabe try and add some old brown in there for some contrast on the hull. If you check out some ship models you can see how the color brown varies in shade on different places on the hull. But if you dont change it you still have a fantastic moc on your hands. -Bejuane

    Flying Dutchman WIP

Ive been watching the progress of your dutchman for a while without saying anything. Looks great, definatly the best I have seen in lego. The stern does look a bit busy, however I believe when you finish the rest to the stern it will even out. I also like the new gunport design as it will change up the hull and give it that un-uniformed look that the dutchman has. -Bejuane

WIP Teaser of an American Frigate

Hello everyone. It has been a while since I have posted progress on the Uss President. Ive had a busy past few months. She is near completion... Only a few more rigging strings and a few details to the deck and she is all finished. Here are a few teaser photos to hold you over. Ill give her a proper thread when 100 percent complete. -Admiral Bejuane.

Achille, a French frigate carrying 36 guns

I am sorry it has taken me this long to comment. There is not much to say that hasn't been already. The interior is a major feat using CGH tumblehome technique as is the way you have constructed the stern with an interior. I am on my iPhone and will update my reply with a more in-depth reply. Amazing frigate! Admiral Bejaune

    Our Zorro (Dieter) passing away

This is terrible news. I did not know Dieter as a friend but he seem like a great person from his post I have read, and thank you Dieter for all your hard work on EB, this site is a great escape for many. He will be in my thoughts as well as his family. RIP. -Bejaune
  11. This is one hell of a list. The ones that stand out to me: 6. La Mort Royale: 2 Points. I love this ship. It was one of the first to use the famous Greenhair techniques and a big inspiration for Sang Royale. 3. Le Requin: 1 Point. The overall shape of this frigate is pleasing to the eye. Upon seeing this ship many years ago I broke up my entire moc fleet to rebuild, because I knew that lego shipbuilding had gone to a new level. 8. HMS Prince of Wales: 1 Point: Great lines, proven technics, and another large ship to give many a run for there money. The best ship of the line built for the British. And I thought she carried more than 48 guns? Great ship 18. Achille: 1 point. The cleanest rigging I have seen and the best headrails out there. This is a great one, The red line and yellow ornaments contrast on this one SCREAMS French! And the finished interior and snot decks give a realistic dockmodel feel to this moc. 9. Nuestra Senora de la Concepcion: 2 points. There is not much more that I can say about this ship that has not already been said. The lines are perfect and the colors are as real as it gets. Boney and Greenhair have proven to be be a great building team. Thanks everyone for voting and building -Bejaune

WIP Teaser of an American Frigate

@Greenhair: The loose rigging will be tightened once the yards are in place with the sails on them. If they were as tight as they should be I couldn't get the yard arms on, so I'll tighten them once they are, and I'll play around with the stern. Thanks! Admiral Bejaune

Im glad you like my sails. I have looked at a few sail plans and your wonderful frigate and her sails as a guildline for my sails on the President. So thank you for that. I plan on rebuilding Sang Royale and redoing her rigging and update her sails in the near future (not a complete rebuild just some details, but a complete rerigging). Thank you for that great feedback. I am happy to read that a builder such as yourself finds my ship Brickshipmodel worthy! And I will have many detail shots of this model when she is complete. So keep a eye out for it. Thanks again for all the comments and feedback -Admiral Bejaune

WIP Teaser of an American Frigate

Hello everyone. It has been a while since I have updated the President. I have been busy with other things and have not had the time to work on it. I have started to add her sails! I have many more to sails make and tons more running rigging to add, but here is how the ship looks now. Oh and Sang Royale is alive and well. She should be finished soon and I will give her a proper Post. Admiral Bejaune

Le Fourageux, French third-rate ship of the line, minifig scale!

Ah ok. Sorry about the confusion, it looked like your mizzen fighting tops were taller than the main and fore mast tops.

Le Fourageux, French third-rate ship of the line, minifig scale!

Looks good so far. She is huge. I have question, is the mizzen mast first fighting top as well as the fore mast fighting top taller than the mainmast fighting top?

HMS Ambuscade vs. Bayonnaise, 14th Dec. 1798

Cool concept. I like it.. The only thing is the tumblehome is a bit off. It should slope in at the gunports instead of out. This picture is a great example. (I know its not a frigate but its the same concept) http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/comm...ic_mp3h9729.jpg

The rigging so far is looking good. Seems like Black rigging is catching on! Are you going to use Admiral Croissants' way of rigging or the CGH...... Or the Perfectionist way? -Amiral Bejaune

WIP Teaser of an American Frigate

No Just long guns.. No carronades. The Uss President's, as well as the Constitutions first armament did not have carronades, but just all long guns. The long guns on the spar decks where replaced with carronade later on. So I am making her armament like it was when it was first built. (That is also why her headrails are not like the current Constitutions headrails, and her stern has a bit more ornate look. The headrails and stern design changed later in her career.) Yea Im quite proud of fitting 28 guns on her gundeck (with four stud spacing), as well as the 22 guns on her upper deck. I am aware of how much more armed the Us frigates REALLY were, but I think this is close enough for being built on prefabs (7 Mids is the max in my book), and the Number is 50 guns, not 54. Thanks -Admiral Bejuane
