Wizarding World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
girlie-site-boots replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Brickbobstudpants i wasn't quite thinking that micro more same sort of scale the micro figures could actually fit in. The same as the castle. Station at each end, mountains, the viaduct, maybe some other micro hogsmeade buildings. I just cant see how they'd do the rails. -

Could it be micro scale, to go with the big micro castle? With stations, I can't work out how they'd do the viaduct and keep the train level enough without a chunk of landscaping -

I bet that will look stunning but it must be massive to include the viaduct. But why would we need another Whomping Willow? -

I think it's Sirius Escape has the Astronomy tower on the box too. They do seem to be encouraging mixing of the older sets with new. -

Textorix that looks amazing. How much space will it physically take up? -

Is it just me who struggles to see how the new Hogwarts bits fit together with the 2021 sets ? -

I agree, the carriage and the newts case thing didn't sell well a few years ago. I picked up the carriage for less than half price and the case was about half price. -

Fluffy has disappeared from the Lego website, unless they are doing updates. -

I'm more of a lurker than a poster on here. Hope you don't mind me butting in. I have all the 2018-20 Hogwarts sets, and so far resisted the Chamber of Secrets etc. But questioning my decision. It is starting to look more fun to build than the Great Hall etc. Will it carry on into 2023 or are we likely to see another relaunch but better looking? -
Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Has anyone put the new road plates with your village? How is it looking. I'm also considering swapping my white fleece ground for white baseplates. I certainly think my village could do with some improvements from last year. -

I don't know some sort of room with floor and a roof. It just sort of looks unfinished. -

The Room of Requirement has always look to me like something could stack on top of it. Anyone else think that? -

When kids stop buying HP Lego will stop making it. I don't believe that the current line was targeted at adults. When the 2018 line started AFOL moaned about the reboot. Why do we need more HP? I'm half convinced the real reason adults get upset about remakes devalues their existing collection. HP films and books are timeless, kids will be reading and watching them for a long time to come. Stacking modules enable kids to collect smaller parts. Its easier to ask an Auntie to buy a £30 section of a tower for Christmas than it is to ask Santa for the whole £80 tower. Its also more doable to save pocket money for smaller sets. But then have you seen the price the 2001 sets go for? Could Lego just be try to tap into that nostalgia market? -

Why? There is probably a short 5 year window between the ages of about 8 and 13 when kids are collecting HP Lego. So really they have a constant supply of new children who like HP. -

Maybe the D2C will be micro scale version of the Anniversary sets! When people talk about building a MOC CoS, everyone seems to want to put it under the Great Hall, why not under the other towers ? -

No definitely not. When the Anniversary sets were first discussed, and someone said the Star Wars anniversary sets were basically updates of origional sets, I could see how that worked for SWs. I looked back at the original HP sets and thought how on earth would you update, to make them appealing, without them looking totally different. The only thing I could think of was modern style, grey roofs but stacking in style. 2001/02 Was right at the time when I was young adult, with money to spend, and it was going on the amazing technic sets at the time. I do remember looking at the Hogwarts at the time and it just didn't appeal. Although I can see why bigger rooms are more attractive to kids as they are easier to play with, some rooms in the current sets are very cramped to do much with. I can also see an appeal for Hogwarts to have more lower price sections, especially in the kids market. -

Stackable makes it easier for people to expand and display. It also enables them to make smaller sections to suit smaller budgets. I can see a logic to it especially for kids. -

I can't work out who they are targeting either. I'd say the 2018 line was really popular with both boys and girls. But I can't even see the appeal of these new ones to today's kids. -

That's a pretty good description of them. The Hogwarts sets just don't look good at all. What were Lego thinking? -

CMF remember they'll be kids who are coming up who won't have collected the first or possibly the second ones either.
