  1. I like the cabin as is, I didn't even notice the gap until it was mentioned and since the pin is the same colour anyway its not easily noticeable. Great model overall.

I sort of disagree with the sentiment that this is a lazy design at all, for example, there is a nice composition, a completely SNOT roof, six figures, of which I think five are new prints, an angled ramp which is built into the platform, a completely tiled level crossing, two actually decent vehicles, and a for once a not-jarring colour scheme, and this will probably be a 6+ set designed to building to the parameters which accompany sets built for children.

I would agree that the cargo train is better than the passenger train. I really like the fcat that the passenger train has great carriages, and the nose can be modified into a more appealing shape if preferred, whereas that may be more difficlt to do when the colour scheme and shaping of the train is defined by a large moulded nose (that said, if the moulded nose is done well, like 60197, I do like them). I am finding it hard to find a similar train in service, though this is probably the closest: I agree fully, that it will probably include powered up lights, which version however, I am not sure, it could be that the light is underneath the slope.

I love the brick-built nose, and the station, while blurry looks great too, I love the teal bus.
  5. Nice ship, I like the shaping, and great work on the first Light Side build
  6. Welcome @karmajay, and nice character introductions for both you and @Ephseb
  7. Great build, I like the functionality incorporated, but still with great aesthetics

Courtesy again of the City 2022 forum: Definitely confirms the existence of the passenger train or station, not that there was any real doubt though.

Just an update from the city rumours thread, the 'soft rail section' is an auto-translate issue, and I presume it refers to the switch.

The train looks good to me, the container stacker looks great and very realistic for a city set, the amount of track is nice and if the rumoured price, which is a decrease, is correct, this looks like a very appealing set.
  11. Good work picking that up, I wonder if this source is being used by some leakers to substantiate the Razor Crest UCS rumour, if so that probably negates its validity.
  12. I would have been extremely sceptical of this rumour if it weren’t for the materialisation of the Republic fighter tank, which also seemed fake, but when you consider that the Gunship was $350 and about the same size, it seems unlikely. It could be that the Razor Crest is a minifigure or chibi scaled model in an MBS, but no logical location seems iconic enough.

    Unpopular Opinions about LEGO

  14. As Professor Thaum has said, absolutely, we've deliberately left every team broadly defined so players can have the options of different subgroups. In respect to different corporations and groups in-universe, you are free to feature any of them, because Legends/EU and the new Disney-canon often contradict themselves, artistic license can be taken with either and you are free to follow any timeline. Also, welcome aboard!
  15. Perhaps if the rules were altered from construction equipment to ‘construction, mining, forestry and similar industrial/excavation equipment’, it could clear confusion or indecision . While dedicated forest machines are very different from construction equipment, and I can certainly understand the need for boundaries, they are along the same lines, especially when you consider that companies like Catepillar manufacture all of these types of equipment.
  16. I gotta say, it actually looks pretty nice from the front on, the X Wing canopy piece works really well, and it looks like the tank will be able to hold at least two figures.
  17. Wow, that’s better than the DV chamber! Today’s hut will be a must buy then. on another note, the tank is okay but a huge step down from the 2017. I don’t mind the unusual clones but I wish another yet undone/underdone canonical unit got this sort of attention first.
  18. Amazing work, I really like the shaping and it appears very accurate to the source material, and great greebling along the sides of the hull. I couldn’t imagine it needing many more tiles to make it into the rebels version albeit scaled down.
  19. It was thought to be a fake set entirely, however both Stonewars and Promobricks have confirmed the existence of the set, though neither of them have mentioned the troopers. Considering the leak which come out of the blue turned out to be correct, and there was nothing about the figures which suggested that they may be fake, it’s probably likely that the leaked troopers are coming. I would, however, be cautious considering the other fake rumours that have been around.
  20. I think it is an AT ST, if I am correct, I think it was one of the actually confirmed sets in the first wave of promobricks leaks, unless they changed that prediction, as I haven't been fully keeping track lately.
  21. I think he was referring to @NoOneOfImportance's question, though the ellipses was after the statement rather than before so that may indicate that it wasn't related. . . . Every time someone asked for a Commander Cody I'd be rich. Wait!? We're getting a Commander Cody this year!! Oh my gosh! It's really happening. It'll probably be in a gunship with ten other clones. If LEGO decide to take this set away they would really have proven their evilness and hatred of fans this time. . .
  22. I don't display sets (other than technic sets - and I plan on getting the Titanic as a display piece above a fish tank), but any set can be taken apart and rebuilt, no differently to a small playset (which many people also display). Furthermore, buying sets instantly to me doesn't seem that bad, as with the internet people are more aware of upcoming sets and can plan beforehand more easily. I wouldn't call it hoarding, unless they are buying multiple copies, but rather excitedly collecting, no different to card games, action figures and other ridiculously expensive collecting hobbies. With the high prices, I think that's hard to define, Lego has always been a premium - and expensive - product, and some sets are still great value, others not, and I think wage stagnation may be more of a problem than inflation.
