Star Trek - Klingon Bird of Prey

Oh, I can't believe I've missed that! Looking at the bridge I already hear the warrior anthem. The front wings up picture looks so epic! Glad that the wings hold in place like they are supposed to. Good to see more Star Trek builders also. Where did you get the klingon minifig? QuvlIjDaq yIH tu'be'lu'jaj! ST: The Guardian of Forever

Happy 55th Anniversary! Since Star Trek premiered on September 8, 1966, I’d like to celebrate with a picture from one of the shows finest. As a kid I didn't like "City on the edge of forever" that much. My love for Star Trek was about the future, not the past. But now, as a (hopfully responsible) grown-up I view things a bit differently. Besides that, the dialog with the guardian is meme-gold. To get the curves close to the original took me quite a while. Also tried to get rid of as many "steps" as possible and smooth the outline. Therefore it's a lot of turning stud directions The Guardian of Forever by keineAhnungBonzo, auf Flickr The Guardian of Forever by keineAhnungBonzo, auf Flickr The Guardian of Forever by keineAhnungBonzo, auf Flickr The Guardian of Forever by keineAhnungBonzo, auf Flickr The Guardian of Forever by keineAhnungBonzo, auf Flickr

    [MOC] Alert: Condition Black

"Are you tired of ordinary warp drive? Do you live in the 32nd century and aren't even capable of warp travel? Transwarp, soliton wave, quantum slipstream is beyond your means? Then I have good news for you: It... is biological is blink & you miss it fast has been made in the golden age of engineering >> Spore drive << - Black alert!" ST: Discovery is not my favourite Trek show. But I do really like the USS Discovery. It's based on a design by Ralph McQuarrie - yes, Ralph "I did all the famous Star Wars designs" McQuarrie. I've already seen great Discovery MOCs in different techniques, like with stacked slopes or tiles . So I tried something new for the secondary hull, I haven't seen yet: the smooth cheese slope ramp Turned out, the angles matched pretty well with the original model! Just had to connect dozens of headlight bricks and make all sturdy enough, that the nacelles don't drop... The saucer section was a different story though... but despite all the difficulties, it's one of my favourite builds by now USS Discovery building set by keineAhnungBonzo, auf Flickr USS Discovery by keineAhnungBonzo, auf Flickr USS Discovery by keineAhnungBonzo, auf Flickr USS Discovery by keineAhnungBonzo, auf Flickr USS Discovery by keineAhnungBonzo, auf Flickr USS Discovery by keineAhnungBonzo, auf Flickr DISCO Crossfield Class by keineAhnungBonzo, auf Flickr

    [MOC] ST: Axanar USS Ares

Star Trek: Prelude to Axanar is an awesome piece of fan fiction. You can see and feel the love and effort, they put into this. Besides that, the starship design is stellar. So, this is my take on the USS Ares, NCC-1650. This is like a Defiant of pre-TOS era, for sure a tough little ship "The Ares class was a Federation Starfleet battle cruiser that first saw service during the Four Years War. It was the first purpose-built combat vessel constructed by the Federation since the Earth-Romulan War." TOS: USS Enterprise

Yes indeed, they are held by one pin. It's a Pin 1/2 with 2L Bar Extension to be exact, hidden in the pylon Thanks, I like the saucer section too; if I only had this one in light bluish grey (they cost a fortune...)

[MOC] The Last Lighthouse At The End Of The Kitchen Table

Holy cow! This is ingenious. You even matched the colours in your kitchen... How did she react?

    This is on point!

    TOS: USS Enterprise

You're very welcome to reverse build I've learned a lot of thinking about, how others did something. And it's fun too... ähem*Ferengi-mode on* If you like to take a shortcut, there are instructions available here on Rebrickable (for a small fee). They are held in the same style like the data sheet above. Partlist for bricklink is also included. *Ferengi-mode off* Anyway, I'm very pleased you like it! At the end it's just a lot of reversing stud direction and checking if it holds together others have made great similar MOCs, which inspired me; tried to make it as round an sturdy as possible. Thanks Except if it's a red shirt

    Klingon battle cruiser IKS HoS

So kind of you Thanks! That's still a little bit beyond my league, but check out Jon Munz Warbird: DSC_3360 by Jon Munz, auf Flickr

    Klingon battle cruiser IKS HoS

Thanks there is one in the works (TOS style), but has some "interesting" angles to manage

    TOS: USS Enterprise

You're right, mystery solved The Enterprise is often shown from behind and the white globes are pretty prominent. Had to imitate that in some way... thanks for your kind words!

    TOS: USS Enterprise

Thanks! Seems like you are experienced in Star Trek Thanks, wanted to try something different to existing (but great) other MOCs! Thank you, TOS Enterprise is clearly one of my favourites, a timeless design Thanks so much, was a good way to add some texture

    TOS: USS Enterprise

NCC-1701, no bloody A, B, C or D (Montgomery Scott) I feel like TOS-style and Lego fits perfectly well together! I also really appreciate building Star Trek ships in this scale. Klingon battle cruiser IKS HoS

Suvlu'taHvIS yapbe' HoS neH – "Brute strength is not the most important asset in a fight" (unless, of course, you are commanding an Imperial Klingon ship named "Strenght"). My Klingon battle cruiser has unfortunately no klingon markings on the hull, so it, at least, needed a klingon name IKS HoS by keineAhnungBonzo, auf Flickr IKS HoS by keineAhnungBonzo, auf Flickr IKS HoS by keineAhnungBonzo, auf Flickr IKS HoS by keineAhnungBonzo, auf Flickr Day Soch may'Duj by keineAhnungBonzo, auf Flickr

    SAAB SA-43 "Hammerhead"

As you wish (it's a pretty mess of colours though) I always do a test assembly, to see if it works (it's always embarrassing if not). Connections are not always as tight as expected I used the old-style clip mainly for style purpose, to smoothen the area a bit. As you can see, the new ones are working as well, through the sheer amount of clutch power I guess The model is pretty sturdy, even swooshable!
