Lego Icons 10332 Medieval Town Square Discussion Thread
Rjbricks replied to BrickJagger's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I’d second Richard’s comments. If you can cope with them losing bits, let them go wild. Otherwise, no. I have a 6 and 4 year old. Any Lego set will soon get broke and all the minifigs broken down into their component pieces. And then left round the house/shops when they decide to take pieces with them out. -

21348 Lego Ideas Dungeons & Dragons and D&D CMF
Rjbricks replied to Black Falcon's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I asked the people at the Lego store whether they’d get any more in and they told me why the existing stock had gone. Looking forward to the CMF line if it’s legit. The set leaves me a bit underwhelmed for some reason. Not sure I can justify £360 with Rivendell and the Market square still to get. and the ahsok ship still taunts me with the cool medieval style helmet…- 410 replies

Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
Rjbricks replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
That looks great. A lot more like the cartoon I remember watching. These are now on sale by 20% in the UK. Does anyone know how much marvel sets get discounted if sales are tanking? Really like the set by it still seems too much at 80%. -

Very kind lady at my local toy shop was able to use the shop barcode scanner rather than me using the phone apps to get a couple of bats and goat herders.- 568 replies

What do you actually do with LEGO?
Rjbricks replied to John Carter's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Either built once and then gets put in a bag and stored in the loft waiting for the day that I get room/time to look at it again. Or built once and then gets stolen by the kids only to then disappear into the mighty box of unsorted Lego. -

Nope. Too much official Lego coming out to meet my castle needs. -

Would have been nice to have seen them period. Never saw one in all the ones in the UK shops I went to. -

That would be terrible for everyone who doesn’t live near a Lego store. or those that do and find all the castle figures are snapped up by the d’n’d crowd all the time. -

Those look good! about to pre-order a set off eBay. unless Lego start selling boxes of 12. -
Nice! I group mine in a similar fashion (all Lion crests are part of one umbrella family. Same as the Dragons). Makes it easier thinking of back stories.

If they have them in the UK, I’ll get a 12 box and get everything. Otherwise eBay/bricklink. with the 24 series i got a full pack and sold all the unwanted ones. But it’s such a pain getting proof of postage etc that I’m not going to bother this year. Surely the goat herd figure will be used again a la the bard torso has been. And I’ve got a couple of OG goats, not that bothered about the new ones.

I suspect unless they rerelease Orthanc as a microscale building, it won’t be to scale! I’m assuming that post was joking… 🙃

That is brilliant! Mix up the load of baldy forest men I have!

Just seen it on sale in the UK too. need to work out if a £40 discount (9%) is worthwhile or wait for another double VIP points and decent GWP…

Surely someone here has an ‘image cleaner’ like in the movies where a grey and pixelated image is transformed into a stunningly clear 4K picture? if not, why not?! -
Few years, not two years, as you pointed out, we had nothing for nearly ten years. I’d also note that all of those sets you’ve listed are really good. And this one isn’t.
-
I imagine one reason people are annoyed is because the reality of the set didn’t meet their anticipation. Especially considering the lack of castle sets over the last few years. As to your example, I’m not sure I agree. I too would like the Eldorado set. But the threshold is £30 above that cost and there’s nothing else I want to spend. And £220 is a lot of money to spend on toys. So I’ll pass on this unless it’s released with the medieval market square next year and falls within that price threshold. Ive also realised why I’m cold on the new Dragon knight figure: blue arms. I’ve just had a look at my old ones and noticed I’ve replaced all the arms with black arms…

It’s also a great set. Picked it up this year (I think) and really enjoyed it. Did read this post at the time but didn’t think my purchase worthy of a necrothread

Am I the only one who went and ordered an original Basil the Bat? Would never have done it without CMF25 coming out.
