Wish I could justify the cost of a cow! No doubt the forest man shields will go by the time other stuff arrives but I’d far rather get the peasant bodies than any of the shields (or even Lion figs).

Yep. I love those ones. The printed ones remind me of them. Though I appear I’m in the minority! -

I seem to be the only person who likes the cape. Reminds me a bit of the old school 80s one. -
No, I have the new prints representing different regiments or ranks within the factions.

Don’t see anything for the UK. In a way I’m kind of glad as I don’t need anything. But if those shields with the crossed axes became available I might bankrupt myself outfitting my existing guys.

$5 a fig seems the going rate nowadays. I used to look for figs at about $2 - $2.5 only a couple of years ago. Good luck with that now! -
Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Rjbricks replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
I hadn’t realised US prices had increased (relative to Europe) but I see that they have. https://thetoyzone.com/the-countries-that-pay-the-most-and-least-for-lego Having said that, I’m in the UK, so have limited sympathy. In fact, I’m glad the august pieces haven’t been released, my wallet could take the strain! -
Lord of the rings sets returning? *Updated for 2023
Rjbricks replied to Momotof's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
That would be awesome. As much as I’d love LoTR and the idea of Rivendell, it won’t be a day one purchase for me, I just can’t justify $500 on a Lego set. And as someone who only collects Castle, fleshy figs will just jar! -

I actually built this a couple of months ago. Should have taken photos but I’ve kept all the pieces together. Really is a lovely thing.- 5 replies

Lord of the rings sets returning? *Updated for 2023
Rjbricks replied to Momotof's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Just do what I do and display them in individual bricks in plastic bags in the loft. and visit them occasionally whilst crooning “my precious…” -

Hmm, mixed feeling about this. On the one hand, LoTR == awesome. On the other, brickheadz… and the fact I’ve not been too sad that there’s been no new Castle theme. The blacksmith, 3-in-1 and Lions Knights castle came along just as I’ve been picking up some of the earlier themes and my wallet is very sad right now. -
Really nice. Graveyard is a fave. I’ll have to look to do something similar. Don’t have space to display all the models and armies, so this is a great inspiration.

10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
Rjbricks replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
And I get that logic. I note that some of the Star Wars packs are 4 figures and some bricks and a premium is charged. And whilst I don’t like it, I could accept it. But that’s unlikely to happen with Castle. And whilst army builders appear to have deeper pockets than most, Lego aren’t going to sell 25 x 10305 sets to someone who just wants 200 figures.- 2864 replies

10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
Rjbricks replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
By making us buy £350 sets? Can’t see that working long term. No one who wants 200 new Lion Knights is going to spend nearly £10,000 on sets. I see the logic in waiting a few months for that exclusivity to fade but after that? We know how quickly the Black Falcons sold, I can’t see the new Lions selling any less quickly.- 2864 replies

Woah, that’s awesome. Boringly practical question: where do you put it? Do you have a special room just to store it? :)

10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
Rjbricks replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Finally built this today. It’s huge. For people who don’t usually display massive Lego structures on their house, it’s somewhat overwhelming. It’s also fabulous. and now sadly has been deconstructed and put inside bags and packed away in the loft already. Only bugbear was 2 missing parts, which was a bit of a shame.- 2864 replies
