NerdYoda replied to NerdYoda's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you! In a few days the missing parts will arrive to completely rework the Mandalorian Outpost and to better integrate it into the environment and the MOC. You may be curious . -
LEGO Star Wars 2021 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
NerdYoda replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Well, as an adult and collector I'm currently hoping for a passable set to The Mandalorian. If you start to shrink at this point, it definitely doesn't fit to my sets of the past years. That would be a pity, but then it does and there is no LEGO Star Wars set for me in 2021. On the other hand I understand that the sets shrink and become cheaper. The target group of LEGO is still children. And these children, or their parents, must be able to afford the sets. And of course they should be swooshable, which should definitely be a given with the TIE Fighter. However, the TIE is nowhere near the original. The dimensions do not fit the Lucasfilm models anymore. I am happy for the kids. As an adult collector, the only thing that remains for me and my preferred model sizes is to hope for the set to The Mandalorian. -
I fully agree with this. In fact, this is my first MBS/UCS set and it's already been a day one purchase. All in all I give the set 5/5.

Show Your Army, Navy, and Collection Display
NerdYoda replied to BillytheKid's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Here are my exhibition areas. Once an IKEA PLATSA cupboard with virtrine doors. And a slender IKEA Billy for smaller set combinations. -
I am absolutely flattened. Besides papaglop's version, this version would also be one that I would put in my showcase. Great work! I am already looking forward to the presentation of the final result.

[MOC] MANDALORIAN OUTPOST ON TATOOINE | mini diorama
NerdYoda replied to NerdYoda's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Feel free to borrow them mate. Thanks for the compliment. Much appreciated. -
Before: 75283 Armored Assault Tank (AAT) Since last Friday: 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina, regular price

Looks excellent @azzer86! Maybe it's really useful for you to wait for the upload of the manual, pack a parts list and order it. That way you could MOD and thus match the sidebuildings to your MOCs and add them afterwards. This would definitely be the cheaper option for the time being.

[MOC] MANDALORIAN OUTPOST ON TATOOINE | mini diorama
NerdYoda replied to NerdYoda's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks, glad you like it. I will post another update as soon as the parts for the overhauled Mandalorian Outpost have arrived and it is finished. -
I ordered the Cantina on the first day and am absolutely thrilled. In fact, I thought about buying a second time - without minifigures - in order to complement my mini diorama with a corresponding building in a similar style and to develop completely new buildings from the parts of the cantina and the small store as such. This would add many chic details to the collection. In the end I came up with a list of parts. The side building with the two flat roofs costs in parts around 25 EUR, without interior. So I think 150 EUR is quite reasonable for the cantina with the side buildings and without figures. Anything from 200 EUR without minifigures would be too expensive, based on the price of the parts. In view of what I have written above, I fully agree. That would certainly be the better deal.

Based on the shape, the proportions and the level of detail of the interior, I would most likely go with papaglop's version of the Razor Crest, if it is to be a UCS style model that is also in the minifigure scale. To be honest, the only part missing, because of the massive drive, is the rescue capsule, the end of the second ladder, which he wasn't sure where it would lead to at the beginning. Since I don't have room for such large models myself, I will probably do without a UCS, or UCS-like version in my showcase.
