I have a thought experiment we could do to pass the time:

We have seen in series 2 that along with the main trio Neville, Luna and Dumbledore each got another spot. So what if LEGO has decided that they are such fan favourites that like the trio they will always be represented in the CMF going forward?

So how many CMF viable versions of Luna, Dumbledore and Neville can we think of? What would be their outfits and accessories?

    I’lltry first:

Neville: Flying lesson, Hogwarts robes, Broom, remembrall

Luna: Barefoot casual cloathes, Baby Thestral

Dumbledore: White outfit, ‘baby’ Voldermort soul.

Ooh, I like that Idea! Here're my ideas:

Neville: Goblet of fire outdoor outfit, botany book ( the one moody gives him), gillyweed

Luna: Dress from Bill and Fleur's wedding, cup/decoration

Dumbledore: Half-blood prince robes, cursed hand, inferius/Marvolo's ring

  2. Ooh, that new Harry looks great!:oh3: Hope we'll get more leaks soon!

And it looks like the chances of a Borgin minifigure just went up!

I suppose the confirmed setting of at least the first two movies also means Flourish and Blotts is very likely. New Lucius and Lockhart Minifigs please.:excited:

  3. I hope the fact that we are getting obscure characters like Florian in the D2C means there's a chance Mr Borgin from the deleted scenes will be included. Although it would be the first time a deleted scenes HP character has appeared as a minifigure since Peeves (I believe), which makes it  somewhat unlikely. if Borgin and Burkes is indeed included, it just wouldn't feel complete without a minifigure of him.

He shouldn't be too hard to replicate in minifigure form either:image.jpeg.1cf0101985ca61d25f2c7c43fb9312d5.jpeg

Guessing from Amazon on their offer?  me too. It’s a really cool set with super interesting techniques to build it and tons of interior detail. A bit of a rip off for a £50 set though IMO.

Guess correct.  And yes, to say I've also built the Newt's suitcase set recently, it does seem a bit less complex. But still, it's a great set!

Also am I the only one that feels like I die a little inside every day I wake up and there's still no news on the CMF or D2C? Lol. I think i'm just bursting with anticipation in regards to the D2C as I have never bought a large D2C set before. Really, really excited at the prospect.

Definitely not the only one!

You might not do, but I’m sure a lot of kids who then get into Harry Potter, or just people who couldn’t get it the first time around, will! It’s no different to Star Wars rereleases. Usually they try and make them a bit different too. As much as I’d love them to make everything there is to make first, I think rereleases aren’t unlikely.

Exactly. They could make the next Hogwarts Express set based off HBP, and include Harry, Draco, Zabini, Pansy Parkinson etc. They could even include hogsmeade station as the side build instead of King's cross, as it featured in the HBP movie. It would be very easy to make most of the sets feel different enough to warrant a remake.

I really hope they don’t start doing remakes, I’d rather they just finish 2021 with DH and use 2022 as a way to catch up on any missed sets like Shrieking Shack, Merpeople, Chamber, and a huge Sorcerer Stone’s set your cover Troll, Fluffy, Winged Keys, and Chess Room. Then move onto a new reboot like Adventurers and come back to HP in like ten years. Don’t want this to become another Star Wars

Well personally I don't mind remakes as long as they are different in the details (i.e. based on a different film). As long as we get a smattering of new sets and concepts in each wave, I'll be fine with it becoming evergreen. Although I too do not want it to become as bad as star wars.......

I just don’t feel like we need another Hogwarts Express for a long time. I would much rather get scenes and locations that haven’t been done yet.

Yes, I would also prefer this but by this time the original 2018 wave will be 4 years old and i find it unlikely that there won't be some sort of overlap of source material. Another quidditch set or Gryffindor tower are also things I can see us getting repeats of sooner rather than later. After all, TLG is going to want the most iconic locations on shelves as often as they can.

Anyway, has the rumour of the Battle of the Department of Mysteries set been debunked? I haven't seen anyone discussing it for months.
