Ooh, the CMF looks amazing, as expected! I am a little miffed about the lack of Lockhart, Skeeter and Pomfrey. But I suppose that just increases the chances of a series 3, eh?

Lego has officially revealed the Harry Potter Advent calendar in a new catalogue. It's just the same image that leaked a while back, but this does suggest that the full reveal could be coming very soon...... I suppose the confirmed setting of at least the first two movies also means Flourish and Blotts is very likely. New Lucius and Lockhart Minifigs please. Ignore the random quote box......

I hope the fact that we are getting obscure characters like Florian in the D2C means there's a chance Mr Borgin from the deleted scenes will be included. Although it would be the first time a deleted scenes HP character has appeared as a minifigure since Peeves (I believe), which makes it somewhat unlikely. if Borgin and Burkes is indeed included, it just wouldn't feel complete without a minifigure of him. He shouldn't be too hard to replicate in minifigure form either:

Guess correct. And yes, to say I've also built the Newt's suitcase set recently, it does seem a bit less complex. But still, it's a great set!

So today I finally got the 2019 Hagrid's Hut set and I noticed that Fudge's legs have the new updated print, without the tabard piece. Interesting that they seem to have updated the sets in the newer batches.

I think if we ever get a third HP CMF series, "19 years later" variants of the trio would be likely.

Was the rumoured Battle of the Department of Mysteries set debunked? Or is that still on the table?

Exactly. They could make the next Hogwarts Express set based off HBP, and include Harry, Draco, Zabini, Pansy Parkinson etc. They could even include hogsmeade station as the side build instead of King's cross, as it featured in the HBP movie. It would be very easy to make most of the sets feel different enough to warrant a remake.

Well personally I don't mind remakes as long as they are different in the details (i.e. based on a different film). As long as we get a smattering of new sets and concepts in each wave, I'll be fine with it becoming evergreen. Although I too do not want it to become as bad as star wars.......

Yes, I would also prefer this but by this time the original 2018 wave will be 4 years old and i find it unlikely that there won't be some sort of overlap of source material. Another quidditch set or Gryffindor tower are also things I can see us getting repeats of sooner rather than later. After all, TLG is going to want the most iconic locations on shelves as often as they can. Anyway, has the rumour of the Battle of the Department of Mysteries set been debunked? I haven't seen anyone discussing it for months.

I think in 2022 we will start to see remakes of sets in the rebooted Harry Potter line. For instance, I wouldn't be surprised if we got a new Hogwarts Express set that year.

This is the reason I don't want polyjuice variants in a cmf.
