    [L10 - Aargau - BS] Wrecked find

That's a great speeder. The water and transitions to it are great too, but the transition from dark green to green could use some more blending. Besides that, same feedback as your Tython build: more foliage, and the green background kind of takes away from the green parts of the build.

    [M13 - Devaron - CS] Don't Upset the Locals

Wow, two Devaronians. Josh has some caaaash. The shapes are all great. If I had one piece of feedback, it's that the accent colors in your walls are sometimes too much of a contrast too quickly, like the brown on gray here. It doesn't feel as natural as if there was a gradient or you'd picked a lighter secondary color. With the one accent above blake's head, it would've been good if they had a 1x1 touching both of them, rather than only connecting at the corners. I think that might've looked more subtle and less blocky. But good stuff like always!

    [L10 - Tython - BS] Wrecked landing

The ship and posing is real good. Feedback: I probably would've shot it on a neutral black or white background to avoid muddying the colors on the actual build (the vines don't stand out like they would have.) Some more foliage in the foreground also might have been good. Great stuff, keep it up.

    [M13-devaron-TT] An old wreckage

Great idea with the undergrowth and different part usages. I will say, foliage looks better in general when you clump it together in big pops of color, rather than scattering each individual part around on its lonesome. It also helps disguise the individual parts used and make an effect that's more than the sum of its parts.

[L4 - Dantooine - PA] Wreckage of the Red Moon

Brilliant action! Love the chunkier Gozanti. A bit of water might've been cool, but it doesn't need it.

[M10 - Kuat - TT] A wreckage for the future

Very clever way of illustrating the cut! Just clean all around, great work.
  7. Good use of color on the variety of greens! The pink background is a non-traditional choice, love that. Any reason it's not a full photo of the build?

[M13 - Devaron - CS] Battle Among the Wreckage

The atmosphere is great, especially with the height of those trees. I think throwing in a few 1x1 plate brackets to add some spots of texture (plates or tiles) to the surface might be nice. It would've also been great to see a lot of undergrowth and plants added to the dark-green portions, I think that might've really enhanced the build. But the layout is great and the piece count must be insane!

[L4 - Dantooine - PA] Old Friends, Once Foes

Thank you very much! Thank you! In case it's not clear, this isn't a continuation but a start to a new set of characters, but I have plans to finish out all the other storylines I have going! Namely Nathan + Ozz, and the Imynusoph jungle adventures. Mato is in a pretty good place right now, but I could take him further and flesh out what happens with the Techno Union on Wayland. There's also a few other things I'm devving. That all to say, I have to write a lot right now.

    Great story! Very good.
  11. *Your entry has earned 17 XP* Mato's Tale: On a cool day in early autumn, when the trees by the graveyard (which had always been early bloomers) were bright with color, the Steward of Bur Wend summoned several villagers to talk with him. All of those called had some experience as warriors in the past, and Mato Rook was among them. Mato stepped out of his home, greeted Beor next door, and made his way to the town center. A few of the others were there waiting. He recognized a couple from the fields, and they greeted each other in the typical, familiar Bur Wend way. "See the sunrise?" asked Dogus, a Mon Calamari. Mato shrugged. "I was in the field with you this morning, Dogus. We both saw the sunrise." Dogus laughed, in a barking sort of way. "Fair 'nuff. I wasn't looking at you, I s'pose!" Then Ko-Yode stood to speak. Ko-Yode never had to fight for attention. The moment he spoke, it was heard. It was a calm, strong voice, which seemed even stronger because of the giant, bushy beard it came from. Ko-Yode was Mato's mentor, teacher, and greatest friend. "A man was found taking holographs of the village defenses," Ko-Yode said seriously. "When Old Morgan saw him and called out, he fled. Now, we're not looking to start a panic, but I need your all's help. Let's find this man. Bring him back to me, alive, if you don't mind. And don't go out there hateful or looking for revenge. We're doing this to protect our families. We're not afraid, but we'll act quickly, aye?" A chorus of 'ayes' returned to him, and he sent them off. [O7 - Krownest - CE] Message from the wreckage

THOSE TREES. Sorry. The build is great, I'm a big fan of the "little-spots-of-terrain-suggest-at-larger-terrain" method, and will probably have to be using it soon. But the trees are just gorgeous, what an effect. The ship looks sort of like a giant block, but that's accurate to the source material, and the color shaping is good, as is the snow.
  14. *Your entry has earned 5 XP* There are many reasons that those who indulge in greed are weakened. As you claw and sweep others' treasures towards yourself, you'll find--like the millions before you-- that having more will not--cannot--create the happiness you lack. Quite the opposite, and the explanations of why are many. That's just one problem with hoarding material riches: the more that you have, the more you have to lose. Imperials plunder the galaxy as if they are its rightful owners. Like spoiled children, like the tyrant kings of old, they look on the earnings and the heirlooms of the galaxy and demand they be given the best. No one gives it to them, so they kill, and they take. And then they have to squirrel it all away somewhere safe so that no one can ever do the same to them. The Imperial Cargo Hulk slid like a glacier through the darkness of space. This huge gray thing, this gargantuan pyramid that pushed steadily on, its treasure trove of dull-colored cargo containers locked in behind. It was a bloated whale, rich with oil. Three ships accompanied the beast: two Gozanti-class freighters, weighed down with spoils of their own, and an Arquitens-class Light Cruiser; a floating slab of durasteel stuffed full of TIE Fighters and spotted with guns. Boom, boom, boom, boom. Four starships shot out of hyperspace. Lo, came the hunting party. With no hesitation, they moved to engage. Mandalorian warriors and ships funded by the considerable wealth of Atrisia and a coalition of sympathetic CFS member worlds. The best warriors in the galaxy, a well-laid plan, and a blank check. They came to take the whale. A Teroch-type gunship--a modified heavy-hitter from the old Mandalorian Wars--took aim at the cruiser, the biggest threat by far. The cracking blue ray of an Ion beam erupted from the Teroch's focusing dish and struck the cruiser. Blue sparks arced along its surface as the ship listed to the side. The two Gozanti's banked to intercede, but as the Teroch--the Mando'a word for "pitiless"--disabled the cruiser, the D5-Mantis (a Mandalorian classic) and YV929 (a brick filled with weapons) swept past and descended on the freighters like birds of prey. A flurry of screaming missiles raced out from the Mantis and under, smashing both ships' TIE complements to spacedust. The Imperial professionals on board readied their counter attack, but Mandalorians hadn't held their own against Jedi without leaning into surprise: while the Imperial pilots and gunners sighted in on the Mantis and YV929, the breach alarms went off. A boarding party, but with no sign of a docking ship. This maneuver had been carefully-coordinated, long-practiced, and perfected by the disciplined soldiers of Clan Eldar: Dozens of super commandos launched themselves from the Mantis and 929 at the right moment and used a combination of momentum and jetpack thrust to land on the Gozanti, only seconds after the missiles had hit their targets. Now, at once on both Imperial freighters, they tore through the interior hallways amidst clouds of smoke, blasters ringing in the deaths of the Stormtroopers on board. The warriors aboard the Teroch disembarked similarly onto the ILC, but unlike the freighters, leaving the ILC in a flyable state didn't concern them. Teams of three landed and set charges while the ILC sat ion-dazed and silent. The next step would be the most dangerous: they ran along the surface and jumped, pushing away from the cruiser by way of their jetpacks. A trigger man on board the Teroch pulled the switch and the seismic charges blew simultaneously. As though pulling in matter around them, the implosions deadened all sound. Then, at the deepest silence, blue rings rippled outward in a concussive burst that carved its way through the hull of the cruiser, but caught and sent the Mandalorians hurtling toward their target. The Cargo Ship. The Mantis and 929 strafed the behemoth's surface guns while the Teroch held its ion beam and the fourth ship--a modified ARC-170-- launched anti-hull missiles at the crippled cruiser. The ARC buzzed like a hornet, sending a torpedo screaming straight down the ship's gullet into its central hanger. Fire blossomed out and vanished as the ship crumpled in on itself. Paralyzed and pulverized, the cruiser was done. The last squads aboard the Gozanti freighters finished checking supply closets and maintenance tunnels. Shouts of victory filled the halls, a Mandalorian cry to signal a battle won. They had the ships. A small crew was left on each while their comrades left the airlock. With forty flares of jetpack thrust they left the freighters for the channel of space between them and the Cargo ship, drifting to join their brethren. The Mantis and 929 dipped towards them, slowing in place for the soldiers to latch on, before slingshotting them to their destination. Intentional to avoid the boarding parties, they joined the Teroch and ARC-170 in picking away the rest of the surface guns. 60 Mandalorians landed on the Imperial Cargo Hulk, managing only a 20 seconds difference. Group by group, they breached airlocks, hulls, and the bridge itself. Precision that comes with centuries of battle. Perhaps you're worried you might unknowingly face a similar wrath one day. But this did not come from nowhere, it was far from unprovoked. An Imperial Remnant had done what greed makes all men do: they had taken what was not theirs. Lucky for you, you can learn from their mistake. ______________________________________________________________ More Pictures Notes Thanks for looking!

    [P10 – Umbara - TT] Clone patrol

Brilliant work, especially for only 2 hours. Naturally, there's the normal trouble with shooting black parts, but you obviously know Umbara pretty well at this point! It'd be interesting to see what the Triumvirate would have to gain there in modern times.

[K9 - Coruscant - CS] And So it Begins

This is really impressive work, I always admire someone's commitment to building and shooting as much as they need to tell the story they want to tell. That roof is excellent, all the scenes have exactly the right feel, just great work over all. It sacrifices some detail on those walls and all, but I understand how, when you're building something really big, balancing size and detail can be hard and those projects can start taking a lot longer than you meant them to. It would've been cool to have some sideways SNOT work and some use of small tiles/jumpers/plates to give the walls texture. But this whole thing--story, three+ builds--is really ambitious, I applaud it. Really nice work.
