  1. Off topic, but anyone know what happened to Falconfan? He hasn't been active on his Instagram for a month. Was my go to for lego leaks
  2. It looks…incoherent? Overly busy and messy. No single part in the leaked image looks correct to me, which is disappointing as it was my most hyped set since Rivendell. is there some new wave of LEGO designers, because after this and the medieval market I’m starting to feel a severe quality drop in official set designs
  3. Looks off to me, almost as if it's a MOC. I remember seeing a set from a LEGO competitor a few weeks ago that I swore was the Medieval market based on how legit it looked, and somehow the actual set looks significantly worse.

    Wizarding World 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

Does 1732 pieces feel a bit small for a $220 set? Maybe I'm overthinking it, but for the "biggest most detailed Hogwarts ever" is that a lot of pieces for the Great Hall, rock base, and the grand staircase?
  5. It's almost insane how much he complains now, it's such a negative vibe I can't imagine holding in that anger so much for something your career is based on. And then he wonders why he doesn't get invited to LEGO things, like dude who would want to hang out with someone who constantly shits on you.
  6. Does anyone have Rivendell in Stud.io?

Hey everyone, had a quick question about Rivendell expansions. I've seen two big expansions on Rebrickable, one that enhances the rocky base of the set, and then one that adds more to the actual building. I was wondering if anyone had more MOCs that build upon the Rivendell set? Specifically, I would love to see someone expand on the waterfall on the right side.

The sorting hat being able to talk, that I did not expect. Has any other LEGO had a talking feature before? I guess the Mario figure?

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Was hoping for something more line with the Lego Ideas Night at the Musuem entries, especially in architecture and color, but I'm sure they wanted to do a new color that wasn't similar to the police station. At least it's better than the Jazz Club, which in my opinion is the ugliest modular ever created by far. I think the museum will look really nice with the Parisian Restaurant.

    Wizarding World 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

It looks like the first attempt to expand the Hogwarts and Grounds architecture set has arrived. https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-158172/JL.Bricks/wizard-castle-and-grounds-expansion/#details It's hard to say how well it accomplishes that without seeing them together, but I look forward to seeing more attempts until we can get to the "definitive" MOC expansion

    Wizarding World 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

This would cost, what, $800? The whole reason this set is being made is because they want to reasonably make as much as a Hogwarts castle in one set as they can. If they added another half to it to include the clock tower/Hagrid's hut/Quidditch/etc, it would be closer to $250-300, which would then be pointless, as the $170 price point makes it approachable for the large market that cannot afford the $400 version. They are both for two different markets. That being said, I'm with you in that I look forward to see someone complete the set like the 2018 MOC. I will definitely add on to it.

It looks really great imo, definitely the best HP set of the year so far. I hope someone adds an expansion to the back that includes the Quidditich pitch, Hagrids hut, etc. Should be pretty easy to do.

    Wizarding World 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

Damn the only two I really want to see are micro scale Hogwarts and Gringotts.
  14. Man seeing the hype for a new Ninjago City build makes me miss having all the other sets, but I wouldn't have had room for another modular anyway. I will miss how amazing the building experience for them is though.

Not only remaking WWW but it will be an inferior version in piece count. That an yet another Hogwarts Express. What a waste of space. At least I’m one of the few here who is excited for the micro scale Hogwarts + grounds.

Are there any you’ve seen yet? Don’t know where to look to find them if/when they are made

Does anyone know if there's a stud.io file of Rivendell available yet?

Has anyone thought about adding to the waterfall behind the set? The one thing I wish this set had more of is the mountainous tree-filled environment Rivendell exists in. I would love to add small extensions to the set, maybe a vertical waterfall that integrates into the water section in the official set. I did see someone on Instagram made a base for the set that added some trees, so I know I’m not the only one hoping to expand it! https://imgur.com/a/CGyRXsI Here’s a quick edit of what I’m thinking. The blue section would be an expanded waterfall. The orange section I would add some more trees in a similar style, also to help make sure the waterfall blends into the side properly

Bricklink Designer Program 2021 Discussion Thread

The new series of sets to vote from are pretty poor imo. The only one that seems well made to me is Brickster’s Brick Cross. And even then, it’s just in the modular format. There are so many more of his I would have rather voted for. Don’t think I see a single one I would vote for nor buy.

Seeing the image of Rivendell they used in the instruction manual, I really hope we get some people who try to "complete" this set ala Hogwarts Castle to make the full Rivendell area. I'm talking trees, waterfall, etc. I get this is all we can do for a $500 price tag (I would argue $400 but that's a different story), but the kid in me wants to see it as a proper Rivendell display

Y'all are crazy, a new microscale Hogwarts and Ground is so much better than an oversize Knight Bus/Burrow/etc. Probably the first set I've been excited to see in this theme since Diagon Alley

Man I feel I am going crazy here, because though it is a pretty nice set, for some reason it just doesn't capture me completely. Like it feels more like a MOC than an official lego set. And the price especially is rubbing me the wrong way, it doesn't seem like a $500 set. Should be $400 MAX. Considering how big it is, I could only justify buying it if I really wanted to display it. However, it just doesn't have the display factor of, say, Hogwarts 2018 or the Ninjago City sets, in my opinion. Would have really loved a display of all of Rivendell, but i also realize I am in the minority with not caring about minifigures that much. I just want a cool model to display. Also, unrelated, but imagine how amazing the box art would have been a few years ago. I think the black boxes is one of the worst decisions they've made recently. Just so ugly

I know it's slightly off topic, but wow Hogwarts Legacy is being received so well! So excited to play tomorrow, and I'm excited to see how this causes another resurge in Harry Potter as a franchise :) It's also really cool to see a take on the world that isn't held down to the aesthetics of the movies only.

Star Wars would be but it’s big enough to have its own sub forum. PotC hasn’t been around for years so I don’t see how that’s relevant.
