i also love empire but episode 4 has so many great moments. i find myself ff bits of empire but can quite happily watch ep4 all the way through. the new cgi parts of the final death star battle are stunning :-D

i live very near to a lego store. thats what i meant by (went to buy). they had them in stock the week before and i had resisted the temptation.

i went to buy anakins starfighter at the weekend but they were sold out. lucky for me ;)

i was in my local lego store today and they only had 1 star destroyer today in the whole shop. normally they have loads! maybe this is the end of the ISD :( . i'm just glad that i got mine. -

will this set get a pre order discount like the star destroyer did? i hope so! -
my sets are all on display only. if i want to build some thing i buy the parts i need at s@h or bricklink. i did swoosh the ucs x-wing and tie a little but the star destoryer is the most swooshable set. :-D

the box design used to be the main way to decide the whole ucs set. but personally any set with minifigs is not ucs. all the ucs sets were for display mainly and are not made with playabillity in mind.

it is a shame none of the pics are taken from the one postion that it is ment to be seen from. i mean half finshed half work incomplete view. -

i like it but it does not have the wow factor of the star destroyer. i will get it but won't be rushing out to buy it. i think bricks would have been better than plates. -
no red clone in the walker though. even the box pic he is plain. :( mind you they also have stormtroopers with the turbo tank.
