Thanks for the great review! I also picked this set up and I hope to get time to build it tonight. The figs are all very good but as I have been saying since the pictures first showed the Geonosian Zombie it's a fig I would have rather not had. Give me 2 warrior figs anyday! The cannon looks cool and a marked improvement over the one from the old Geonosian Fighter set. £20 ,not bad at all. When the 3 for 2 deals hit , I will be going mad for this one!

Review: 9488 Elite clone & Commando Droid BP

I have added a picture to the review with all four minifigs side by side so height differences can be seen and a red visor to the Elite/ARC clone. -

Thanks for all the comments guys. The price I paid was £12 GBP. The US price is listed in the first post of the 2012 news topic. -

I missed the small cartoon printed in the back of the instruction manual. I will add a picture to the review later. Edit: now done. -
Review: 9488 Elite clone & Commando Droid BP
mutley777 replied to mutley777's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks for the comments guys. As for the 2 facttions in each set it works for me in this one more than the endor one (will try to get a review up later today). The droids always outnumber the clones in battle, so even if I buy the 40 sets of this I am intending to then 80 commando droids will be fine. -
The new star wars sets are ready for order today for collection tomorrow at Argos! Just ordered the new BP's and the Geonosian cannon. It does seem that UK BP prices have gone up £2 for the new ones but the Geonosian cannon and Escape pod sets are only £20! The planet sets are £10 each as expected.

[MOC] Great, Chewie! Great! Always thinking with your stomach
mutley777 posted a topic in LEGO Star Wars
My cut down entry to the CB SWVI - Return Of The Jedi My Endor village/outpost MOC has been well delayed thanks to a manic month or so at work. So I have adapted one of the trees that I had started, to recreate this great moment from the film. The whole MOC. The net is made up of 4 net parts and 2 long black string parts threaded though to hold it in shape. -
In the UK Woolworths online has the 5 of the new jan sets available to order. Looks like we could have battle pack price increases as they are £12 Woolworths Lego Star Wars X-wing £50 Tie Figter £50 Droid Escape £20 Endor BP £12 Clone & Droid BP £12

Another fantastic UCS MOC Anio! The ship looks stunning and I know just how much those dark red parts cost. You have all the angles pretty much spot on and a few painted parts as stand-ins is ok.

Community Build: SW Episode VI - Return Of The Jedi

My entry to the build. Great, Chewie! Great! Always thinking with your stomach. -
I doubt these prices are 100% reliable as the Entertainer Shop quite often marks up RRP. They should give us a pretty good idea though.

[LDD MOCs] Brickdoctor's 2011 Star Wars Advent Calendar

I have been following this thread from the beginning and really like all your versions. The frigate was excellent but that Slave 1 is fantastic! A really nice model with some great looking guns! -
[MOC] Luke VS The Rancor (Micro-Mood Scale)
mutley777 replied to M<0><0<DSWIM's topic in LEGO Star Wars
A stuuning MOC! The rancor looks fantastic! Now I don't know if I am the only one but I think it looks pretty close to a minifig scale rancor. I would love to see a picture of it holding minifig Luke or a Gamorrean. -
Another fantastic MOC! Did I expect any less! The rocks look great with all that dark tan, it really helps give it the look of the cave in the film. Love the rancor! I do hope we get one in some shape or form from lego.

For me it is alot of the factors listed. Time to build the stuff I buy is in short supply and I really don't have the space these days to display my full collection let alone the extra sets I buy! I also buy extra's (2-3) of some sets as I don't want to be paying huge prices If I want a mutiple or two at a later date. Battle Packs I nearly always buy 10 of (only 2 for the Assassin Droid one) 40 of the Clone Walker being the most. I have not built a UCS set since the Y-wing I have them all except the SSD (waiting for a deal ). I did build the 10188 Death Star (not really UCS) though, as I was no going to leave that baby unopened. I buy nearly all my lego at discounted prices, RRP these days is just silly prices, so I try to buy everything at 20% off or more. 3 for 2 deals is where I really go mad, probably why I have 9 Battle of Nabboo's and 8 Ewok Attack sets.

Very nice work on the speeder, the design looks great! The shape of the main hull is very good. I do agree with huntley the green slopes ar the way to go. BL is a fantastic place to shop for lego but also as huntley said buying there can get very addictive. I am at 300 feedback, with nearly all that as a buyer.

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
mutley777 replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Is this picture taken from someone who has the figs? If so it looks like (but is hard to tell) that the ARC Trooper fig has lost the fin on the back of his helmet that was in the other pictures. -
Not to many purchases set wise in November but I did make up for it with BL part orders. 7959 Geonosian Starfighter Padawan Menace Bluray Hallmark Darth Vader 2 CW Clone Troopers 3 WolfPack Clone Trooper 6 Geonosian battle droids 2 Hoth Rebel Officer 5 Hoth Rebel Trooper

The lack of droids is probably because they never made it into the cockpit of the falcon in ANH and that is pretty much the only place for figs in this set apart from the gunners seat.
-
Very wise words! Just look at the UCS Falcon pricing thread for the amount of people trying to buy parts and paying crazy prices for sets. Also worth thinking about is that this set is only the price of 2 RRP 7965 Falcons (in UK) with 4X as many parts and 4X as many figs. I was very lucky with my Death Star. I was one of the lucky few who ordered It when it was first released in the UK with a price point of £200 . I think that only lasted a week before the price went up to todays price!

Sets that are just rumors or speculation don't make it into the first post. -
Another fantastic MOC ACPin! The lighting and detail is amazing! The scene is captured perfectly. I sure hope you will do more than just one MOC for this Community Build.

UK Tesco direct have reduced their exclusive 7959 Geonosian Starfighter to £24.97. Not bad if you have some clubcard vouchers you can exchange too.

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
mutley777 replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
What!!! Never played the 1 of the greatest star wars games, which are based solely around Starfighter space combat! I hope you of all people have at least played the original X-wing.! Where the hell are those up-dated versions of those great games, they were rumored back in the mid 00's -
Glad I could help.
