  1. The Modular Truck Attachment System (MTAS) is a system I am designing to allow different truck bodies / functions to easily be added / removed from a basic truck setup. Below are some WIP photos.
  2. I am a big fan of this :)

The Buggy is a very nice set. For $15.95, it is great value and a great first step into LEGO Technic, bridging the gap between normal LEGO and Technic. It looks cool (which is important for the target market) and has some basic Technic functions such as steering and suspension, it is the perfect way to bring in these concepts. I really like this set; it feels like a modern-day version of 8832 which was the first LEGO Technic set I ever purchased.
  4. Well done all, it was great to see all the entries.
  5. Recently I have been working on a c model of LEGO Technic set 42022. After sorting all the pieces and looking around for some ideas, I decided to try and build a race car of some sort, below is the end result. This is a C model and only uses the parts from set 42022. My "Concept Racer" features: - Steering which is connected to the steering wheel in the cabin. - V4 engine, driven via the rear wheels. - Opening cabin roll cage. - Adjustable rear wing. Overall I have spent about 10 hours over the past few days designing and building this. I am also entering it in the TLCB Lock-Down Competition. More photos can be seen here:
  6. I have just posted my entry :)
  7. Update - 27/05/2020: Last night I spent a good few hours on this, after many redesigns I now have the bin lifter working as I want and I have added a function to tilt and empty the rear body. The next step is to add some more body work to this and the truck body. I have also in the process of starting the design of my next attachment, a crane arm.
  8. Now that is very cool, excellent work and looks just like it.
  9. LEGO Technic Shelves Today I have purchased these shelves to store my LEGO Technic sets and parts. For a $50 investment, they keep them all safe and also have a spot to store my parts containers. They also pass the "wife approval" factor.

  16. Thanks. I post on my blog then was doing a copy and paste, now I need to add the link to each photo one by one.
  17. Recently I was able to pick up LEGO Technic set 42075 for $20 second hand, this was a part of a bulk lot that is being sold locally. My original plan was to use this as parts for my MOC's, after checking on I found this truck which has been designed as a "c model". I downloaded the PDF instructions of 69 pages and over the past two nights have built this. The total build time was two hours, including some parts sorting. This truck features: Hand Of God Steering via the steering wheel on the roof. Two cylinder engine which drives via a diff and the rear wheels. Rear Towing arm. Overall I found this enjoyable to build and the end result is good. Given the left over parts, I am planning on making some improvements and changes to it. One issue I found was that in a couple of spots I found the instructions to not be great at showing where parts were meant to go, I had to flip backwards and forwards to make sure I hade not missed any steps. Left Over Parts
  18. 42071 Dozer Compactor is one of the best small LEGO Technic sets I have built. "Capture the awesome power of a real-life dozer compactor with this 2-in-1 LEGO Technic replica, featuring a host of realistic functions and details, including a driver’s cab, working blade and steering, and realistic hard compactor wheels. This advanced building set comes with a fresh blue, gray, black and orange colour scheme with stickers for additional detailing. Rebuild to create an Articulated Truck for a double build-and-play experience. Product Features:Features a driver’s cab, working blade and steering, and hard compactor wheels.Check out the awesome blue, gray, black and orange colour scheme. Also includes a set of stickers for additional detailing.Steer the Dozer Compactor into position, lower the huge blade and get ready for an awesome display of power! This LEGO Technic advanced building set is designed to provide an immersive and rewarding building experience.2-in-1 model: rebuilds into an Articulated Truck.Suitable for ages 8-14.Dozer Compactor measures over 3” (10cm) high, 7” (19cm) long and 4” (11cm) wide." This set has 171 pieces, nothing too exciting in this. Once complete, the model looks really good, mostly due to the contrast between the blue of the body and the orange and grey of the blade. Due to the small size and limited parts, it only has two functions, turning the body and raising and lowering of the blade. I built this set in under 30 minutes tonight, the reason being that my son who has just turned three years old has shown a bit of an interest in my LEGO Technic. This is a small set he can play with, without the risk of doing too much damage to it.
  19. Recently I have returned to the LEGO Technic hobby. The first set I purchased to rebuild my collection was 42079. After building the A model (but not adding any stickers) I decided to try making a C model using just the parts from this set, I present my Urban Turf Tractor. This features:HOG SteeringOpening HoodRear hitch lifting (via black connector)Rear PTO (via 8 tooth gear under cabin) At the moment I am working on my first attachment for this, a rear mounted plough, this is also made using only the left over parts from this set. I will be presenting some photos of this shortly. My plan is to keep making as many different attachments as I can from these left over parts.
  20. Following on from my Urban Turf tractor MOC, I have created three new attachments for this. This attaches using the normal mounting point and uses the rear control knob to raise and lower them. These again only uses the pieces from set 42079, making it part of this C model series. Field Plough Grader Blade Track Rake Full Collection - C model of 42079, these were all built using only the parts from this set.
  21. Thanks, I will share how it comes along, I am planning on using this as a base for some different attachments / bodies. I found the issues with the photos, I will use a different process in the future so they appear right on mobile devices.
  22. I am not a bike guy but do really like this.
