    [MOC] The Classic Chess

Hello everyone ! In this post, i will present my first chessboard realization which goes from virtual to real bricks: The Classic It's my third realization in virtual but my first creation in real. It's start now 3 years old and will end next month (order to be made...) This chess contain approximately 800 pieces. Chessboard history: I started by create the board and then i design the game pieces: echec 3.3 by Legron Chess, sur Flickr but i was not completely satisfied witch the result (pieces too big / taller for the board) and i thereforce copied as faithfully as i could the "classic" pieces that exist in wood, which gives this: echec 3.18 by Legron Chess, sur Flickr And in the chessboard: echec 3.19 by Legron Chess, sur Flickr After that, i waited a long time before i decided to realize it which gave me that once i went from 3D to real LEGO bricks : echec LC 1 by Legron Chess, sur Flickr echec LC 2 by Legron Chess, sur Flickr Pieces: Towers: echec LC 7 by Legron Chess, sur Flickr Riders: echec LC 8 by Legron Chess, sur Flickr Crazys or Bishops: echec LC 9 by Legron Chess, sur Flickr Queens: echec LC 10 by Legron Chess, sur Flickr Kings: echec LC 12 by Legron Chess, sur Flickr Pawns: echec LC 6 by Legron Chess, sur Flickr I stayed that way for almost 3 years and i came across an Yoshihito Isogawa video with magnets... I had concerns about stability (the slightest shock knocked down all the pieces of game) that i wanted to solve and a small modification of the board (design) to do what fell perfectly ! Follow this modifications, the chessboard looks like this now: Placement of the magnet in the game pieces (same principle in board): echec LC 14 by Legron Chess, sur Flickr Echec LC 1 by Legron Chess, sur Flickr That all for the moment with this chessboard ! More next month ! Thank you for reading me and if you have any questions / criticisms, don't hesitate !
