    Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion

it's important to remember that the layout will completely change next year. The great hall and WW are retiring so they will no longer be included in marketing material. I honestly don't think LEGO cares too much about creating official configurations for Hogwarts. ROR doesn't properly attach anywhere, the moving staircase can't be used when attached to other modules, they've changed the official placement of the Clock Tower, ect. They're just producing recognizable sections of the castle and including some pin holes so they can kind of be connected.

Doing that might cause you to associate the set with the election which could be frustrating if the election results make you unhappy. It might end up being a meter long reminder of something you would rather forget.

GWP live on east coast or all of US?

When will the GWP show up? At exactly 12:00 in each timezone?

Will the GWP be included with purchases at exactly midnight or will it be included with purchases a few minutes before since the DA may be available a few minutes early?

Many were on the fence because they wanted to see where the Harry figure ended up. If it was in a GWP then they would've waited for that. Now that it is included with the set more people will be tempted to order it immediately.

It's mainly for people who display LEGO on tables instead of shelves.

Watching the interview right now and I love that they have the old HP statues behind them that we saw in the designer section of the original DK book. I wonder where those were kept while the line was dormant.

If we're getting Harry here then what is HP-4? UCS Dobby's Sock GWP?

I'll be building them in chronological order. I think WWW would be a good finale because of how bright and unique it is.

The pick a brick wall behind it and the sheet of paper above it. I think a lot of my issues with the box come from how little space the actual set takes up. It seems like LEGO had one box size and desperately needed to somehow fit this set in it leading to the odd angle of the street add the vast amount of mostly empty street and sky space above and below the set. They really should've just used a shorter but longer box.

It appears to be a bit deep but it is quite a small box.

What time will the set release online? At 12:00 am Sept. 1 everywhere or does it depend on the time zone?

I'm not worried at all. LEGO HP will definitely continue until at least 2022 (the next FB movie) and will probably continue for awhile after that. I don't remember where exactly it was said but in 2018 they were already considering making HP an evergreen theme plus when developing the theme they had at least 50 set ideas. I don't think HP will ever have as many sets per year as something like Star Wars but it's safe to say it will probably get at least five or six sets per year for the foreseeable future. 2021 will be the end of an era in a way though because not only does it cover the final movies but it will probably be the last year which doesn't feature remakes of previous sets and minifigures (excluding a car side build) from the 2018+ run of the theme.

On Instagram when asked if he designed the DA Marcos responded with a sunglasses emoji which people seem to be taking as a yes.

You could collect the CMF series but that's a completely unrelated separate product. A bookstore should come with more than 2 books. I'm also not sure where you're seeing four wand boxes. In the interior picture Ollivander is holding one, there is one on a shelf, and another (missing a lid) in the window. Regardless three or four wand boxes is a very low amount. There is no reason they couldn't have included a few more proper boxes instead of brickbuilt ones.

It seems like there is no picture for the Ollivanders:Scribbulus module. We don't get a decent look at the top floor of Ollivanders. I am a bit disappointed with the lack of books and wand boxes in this set. Most of them seem to be brickbuilt with only one or two wand boxes and books being made with the specific pieces. Not a massive issue but a bit unfortunate.

Tbh Jangbricks is the only LEGO content creator I actually enjoy. Other content creators are either too child focused or get too greedy with ads (since they know kids will watch anyways).

That's actually not too far away from me. I'm tempted but I should probably just buy them as a set.

Why do people seem to think the Bellatrix hairpiece is squishy? I've heard some people say the new piece is squishy and I've even heard some claim the old figure had slightly squishy hair which is just incorrect (at least on my copy which I bought within the first few weeks). Did they change the hair later in the production run of the original burrow or something?

I think this is a very different situation to action figure rereleases. When figures are re-released it is because the original figure is hard to find or off the market. Griffindor uniforms are very easy and inexpensive to buy on the aftermarket and they are currently found in various inexpensive sets, activity books, and even a CMF. No kid (or their parents) is buying a $400 set for Griffindor uniforms. The main reason people are annoyed is because these figures are not wearing the costumes they wore onscreen. They wore capes over casual clothes but LEGO has given them robes for some reason.

So you think a 1x6x5 frame with reprinted clear panel and covered on the sized by translucent cheese slopes? That would make sense I don't think it's a frame. I'm pretty sure it's just this https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=59349&colorID=12&in=A

1/6/5 clear panel with printing. Then cheese slopes attached to headlight bricks would be my theory. We will have to wait until we get better images to properly make out how a lot of this set is made.

Don't know why this hasn't been mentioned yet but LEGO should've brought back sand red for this set. Sand red would work perfectly for the pink section and it would make the Gilderoy figure more accurate (even if that costume is still inaccurate to the scene).
