LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

Hello! Haven’t been posting for awhile just lurking.... Thanks for your help, I found them now. I really like the colors of the police cars for this wave, it looks a little more realistic than bright blue. The lighthouse + helicopter looks really good, probably going to buy that, but the other one with the big drill is meh. It looks like the criminal stole it from a mine set and painted it red. That would actually be a cool little story if the criminals stole vehicles from other themes and spray painted them a different color, with some of the original showing through

Does anyone have some insight on how to find these leaks? I checked the instagram hashtag but nothing there

    [MOC] 16-wide modular police station

Well I have taken your suggestions and added a few more details to both levels. In the garage, I added a mount for the motorcycle to connect to. This prevents it from falling over when moving the building, and I can pose some minifigs doing work. I also added a small workbench with some tools mounted on the wall. I want to add more detail eventually but for know it looks pretty good. 01972C11-0ED4-417F-94B7-98205C173746 by Bob, on Flickr View from outside: E6F678D2-762D-4C18-B88E-3638433E6C73 by Bob, on Flickr Up above, I have been experimenting with some different layouts. To give the sleeping area a bit more privacy, I moved it behind the divider wall and put the desks up against the windows A287B77C-C98E-4A88-B67F-E9CED70F0E83 by Bob, on Flickr Thanks everyone for the awesome feedback and have a great rest of your day!
  5. Hello! This is my first time posting a moc so let me know if I can improve anything. 41B4834C-6DAC-4F9F-836E-CFEDF4952B98 by Bob, on Flickr I made this a year ago but have recently revisited it to redo parts and make it better! The ground floor is dedicated to the garage and a small holding cell. This would mainly be used for over night prisoners, higher risk criminals would be transferred to a bigger facility. 49D03DCD-7CDB-4B73-865F-19C63E596D80 by Bob, on Flickr The whole build is modular so the floors can be easily lifted away for easy access to the interior 3B42090C-32F0-4038-B444-D92493EA6186 by Bob, on Flickr Unfortunately due to space constraints, a standard car just sticks out a little bit from the garage. However, it can fit the small undercover police car and the police motorcycle. Once I put this in my city (currently dismantled), the 2 police cars and truck will be stored in a yard behind the station. Besides, it makes more sense to me to store things that cannot be locked inside a garage. A divider wall separates the work stations from the rest of the room. Currently I have it set up so an officer could stay at the station 24/7, sorta like a security guard. It seems an officer is working on a strange case involving a pan and some money. Wonder what that could be? 448B3EFD-0D7E-4DC5-AF45-E40FDC2BAB93 by Bob, on Flickr The other desk houses the dispatch area, with a computer and some sort of station that has a mic and some gauges. A59CDAC6-CC52-4EB2-9277-F689545D263E by Bob, on Flickr On the other side, there is a simple bed and a cabinet containing some food and utensils. On the counter, there is a plate with fresh subs from the local deli, and a tasty donut from the coffee shop. Next to that is the all important coffee maker. 477B89F7-C1FE-4A2B-AFE6-330F5B3E56B2 by Bob, on Flickr Finally, on the roof, a simple overhang with some tiles on top completes the main structure part of the roof. On top of that, a big police sign lets the public aware of what the building is. Also on the roof, a security camera records the entrance of the station. Eventually I need to find a better place to mount it but it works for now. 17D4C4F8-3B07-4A0A-97BE-C77CB0005695 by Bob, on Flickr The 2 main vehicles that serve the police station Sorry if this got long, I like talking about my LEGO builds. Please leave any feedback that you have so I can improve my future mocs! hopefully the pictures work- first time using Flickr

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

Thanks @Brandon Pea! Just recently I built that set from my spare parts. Unfortunately I didn’t buy any of the Farm sets (that was a long time ago and I wasn’t that into LEGO). It would be amazing if LEGO did another farm theme because I think a lot of people missed out on that one. The Harvester Transport was pretty good, but I’d love a full farm set like the old one. All the new techniques could make a really realistic and fun set

It would be cool to see a set/minifigure pack with some of the LEGO undercover characters. It also kinda bugs me that all these new characters are being introduced without much back story. I do like the characters names like "Freya McCloud" named after the fire fighting tools But I don't want it to be like Hidden Side where you end up with tons of Parker and Jack. I don't know if I like having named characters or just plain people included in sets

Lol the pizza part had me laughing. I wish Lego would make some more buildings for the city theme. I just recently got the Creator townhouse toy store, which is super detailed and looks amazing next to larger buildings or modulars. And in the city theme, the only sets that have decent buildings are $70. Lego should make city a complete theme with sets from vehicles to houses to businesses. But at the end of the day, it leaves me open to make my own things, which is a lot more rewarding than going out and spending money

The first 4 came pretty easy, but I’m still stumped on the last one. I really like the idea of an online Easter egg hunt! Keep up the great work!

I just got the set a couple days ago. Really nice build so I took some of my spare parts and designed the ice cream shop that the van goes along with. I can post pics if anybody wants

This so much! I wish LEGO would make more than just vehicles in the city theme. I guess it's whatever makes money but it would be nice to see some residential houses and more buildings in general. I don't want to buy a $60 set just to get a tiny building with an open back! I know the theme is marketed at kids, but I know children would appreciate it if they could put together a city with more than just cars.
