[MOC] Admiral's Outpost on Azure Coast

Nice colours and I especially love the roof. And yes, there are not enough flag forms. Can you share this one? Could be used more then ;)

[Moc] Blue imperial guards in IKEA frame

I have seen several different approaches for filling frames with lego, this is a good one, I really like the old smile faces, you can make your own story way easier with them. Here you can decide, is the guy angry or happy to meet King Kahuka, I see him happy :D

    [LDD] Galleon Habana

Great galleon! Do you have a deatil picture where the bow tranforms into the side? Would like to know more about the angles there.

    [WIP] Full Hull Battleship

It has a nice shape already even it has not the smoothest surface compared to others but I like that you can see it is made from lego and not using prefab pieces as well. So I am confident it will turn out fantastic!

[MOC] Do you fear... the Flying Dutchman?

Wow, nice, the video shows it´s full beauty! Great feature with the cannons which open the gun ports! But where did you get the brown small octopus?!
  6. Ahoy, seamates! I have started my LEGO-Ideas Project 2-3 months ago and now I want to present it to the specific lego pirates community! Would be nice to get your suppport but even more I am looking for some advice what I can improve on it. SUPPORT NOW Please take a look on the ideas website or at my flickr https://flic.kr/s/aHsmMnLn6a for more fotos! Here is the text from ideas: Welcome on board of The Rolling Dutchman! Since I have been a child I always wanted to control my LEGO Red Beard Runner without pushing it around and now my dream has come true. I have build a motorized Version of the famous Flying Dutchman which is my favorite pirate ship, too. I have seen the original swedish Vasa which has given the idea for the Dutchman with its marvelous bow and stern. So I managed to combine them with my own creative ideas into this "rolling" Dutchman! Please have a look at the features in the video and the pictures! Video: Update 2: Thanks for your 1k supports so far! I have worked on the main picture a bit and now added a picture of the crew and one showing the functions as well. Update 1: New rotten Sails! (Picture 7+8+Video still with the first sails) Motorized Features: Rolling movement caused by waves (1. M-Motor) Two motorized triple-barrelled chasers in the bow (1. M-Motor) Motorized steering with simoultaneously rotating ship´s wheel, rudder and steering mechanism (S-Motor) Motorized movement for- and backward (L-Motor) Motorized sail trim with turning capstan and changing sail position of all square sails (M-Motor) All features can be controlled by rc-control via 4 channels and two receivers All features use the Power-Function System but could easily be adapted to the new Control+ System which can lead to advanced handling of the functions The battery box can slide out easily to switch on/off and change batteries General Features: Minifigures: Davy Jones, Jack Sparrow, Elizabeth, Bill Turner, Barbossa and more. (I am not familiar with the movies in english so I would like to ask you to tell me the names in the comments section!) Two decks with cannons (one side the lower deck is closed to store the motors) The two tripple-barreld chasers can manually slide backwards and then the gun ports can be closed Removable deck at the stern to take out the steering wheel Removable lower balcony´s on both sides Handmade sails Two functional anchors Upper cabin minifigure size with Jack stealing the heart (illuminated) Lower cabin with Davy Jones organ (illuminated) Two torches at the stern (illuminated) The capstan can be removed The ship is based on the sturdy hull parts, the complete 2 lower rows of bricks can be removed with the steering and driving wheels to use it as "normal" push forward ship or display model The main mast and the mizzen are both slightly tilted backwards Correct rigging and sails due to the movies The ropes between the masts can be removed easily to take them apart for transport It would be an honor to receive your support. Aye! I have to thank my friend J-H to help me with some motorization problems and a special thanks to my girlfriend for not freaking out! Thanks, yours Störtebricker from Hamburg, Germany SUPPORT NOW
  7. Wow, thanks! Nice article! As this has popped up I can tease an other motorized ship here which I will publish soon, I think you can guess, savvy?

[MOC] El Puerto de Cartagena (Anno 1585)

When you scroll through the foto in the flickr album you find the Dying Gull moored in the harbour. There was a guy looking like your pic on board but he immediately ran to the tavern so I could not catch him on the foto It was always planned to form a city. I tried to make it modular (although the ground shapes are quite different) but when I can continue the harbour I want to be able to shift the different parts. Yes I have heard about that town. Looks very nice but quite small on the fotos. When one day I make my dream come true - a sailing tour through the caribbean - I have to make a stop there!

[MOC] El Puerto de Cartagena (Anno 1585)

Damn it, the people around here will find everything (before someone mentions it: the pier is floating in the air at two poles, it is due to my showcase where its displayed which has an edge there...) Yes the spanish are reboulding the army because they are spread so rarely through the the official sets and I did not want to rip the crew of my Armada Brig and I needed some for my Aztec - Temple of the Jaguar, which will be shown here the next months, too. The Imperial Armada will be ready and take control back when the harbour is back from an exhibition in around 4 months. I will update some photos then!

[WIP] “L’Anubis” - 3rd Rate Ship of the Line

ANd again another one How much time do you spend each week on this ships? I even cant take fotos of my creations due to lack of time... Would be awesome to see her in real bricks one day as well! Keep on and we keep on following the progress!

    [LEGO IDEAS] Ray the Castaway

Nice, congrats, I voted, too. We have to take every chance to show lego the demand on the pirates theme :D I am also looking forward to the small sail ship gwp which should arrive this summer!

    [MOC] Ship updates

That are some neat ships! The rigging is very well. The horse is quite funny but for me it somehow does not fit because the ships looks so realistic all around... The tug-boat uses the old parts in a nice way, too. Only the front window line could be done better when using diefferent windows but the old ones have their own style, too. All very different. The yellow boat I have as well, as a kid I never had the figure and no catalogue showing it, I was always very confused by that boat and where it came from!

[MOC] Dying Gull from POTC V

Hello there, finally I got some time and (a bit to much) sunlight to get some fotos of one of my finished projects: The Dying Gull, commanded by the famous Captain Jack Sparrow on the search of Poseido´s trident in POTC Part V: 20210516_160515024_iOS by Captain Störtebricker, auf Flickr Here you can compare it with the "orignal": I have to say that the idea to make my own MOC from this ship came by viewing a video from the very good MOCer MocYourBricks on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHGfHT9yK5g But I thought it could be improved by using the old mast parts, different hull line and for sure making some nice sails. I included a working anchor, steering-mechanism and detachable storage lid as well as a brick-build cannon. Here are some more pictures, take a look at the flickr album to see all of them (give me a hint which is the best and I will add it here, dont want to flood the topic :D): Hope you will enjoy it! Aye!

[MOC] Dying Gull from POTC V

True, the 5th movie was not the best, but better then the average movie I think... and it was POTC at least ;) I can agree that it looks more like a MOD as I have to admit I just startet the same way MocYourBricks did but I went for different approach for the hull. I left out the gunports but instead follow more accurately (in my opinion) the deck line with the rails and the window on the sides of the stern. My mast is also tilted backwards and I prefer the old masts due to a "cleaner" look to the new mast-pieces, 2x2 round bricks would have be to thick. You can see it in this sketch: For the stern itself I went more for my imagination and equiped each lantern with a gull. It was my first try to build a small sloop which should look like a "real world model". When I see the sketch I forgot to add some gulls to the fotos!

    [MOC] Armada Brig

Thank you for the remark, probably I will fix that in the future. Then the devided spinnaker can even be used and have some functionality. When I built the ship > 3 years ago I only tried to make something more square shaped with original lego parts. But first I have to finish my other projects...

    [MOC] Armada Brig

Hi everybody! after seeing the wonderulf WIP "The Parrot" I wanted to share my old MOC on the small white hull pieces of the 6280 as well: The Armada Brig The ship is build only with original Lego-parts except a few more strings and it was the first one I build using all the modern slopes. Therfore I was very proud of the bow which was raised by to rows of slopes and the working achor mechanism there. The captains cabin can be opened from top. It includes a big table, a collection of flags taken from all the different sunk ships and all the other stuff a captain needs: The spanker sail is made out of two of the 6280 sails as well: Take a look at my Flickr Album Armada Brig to see more datailed fotos! I am looking forward on your thoughts on the ship, please consider its already 3-4 years old, from my time I just came back to Lego

[MOC] WIP 38-gun Frigate HMS Diana

Thats a huge ship, in this state it looks a bit flat from the side but that can change with the proceeding. My fav is the pic with the larboard battery gun where you have assembled a true gun port with strings and ropes holding the cannons in position and even using original lego strings for that!

[MOC] "Barracuda Brig" - 18-Gun Sloop

Wow thanks for the examples, I even learned something today! My thoughtwas that even for a vessel focused on combat it would be an advantage to have a full deck on top of the cannon deck but HMS Mars is a good example that it is not needed :)

    [MOC] Armada Brig

So it took very long but today I got two new shots from the sides , i will try to improve my fotos to get it better and better! Here is the one with full cannons side as wished and without blue cast:

    [MOD] 2015’s Soldier’s Fort Modular

I think I agree on that, or instead of colours I would change the very symetrical "main building" in a way that its more asymmetrical. Otherwise good use of the parts which came with that set wave!

[MOC] "Barracuda Brig" - 18-Gun Sloop

Nice build again! Somehow I am not sure about the deck, it feels a bit deep inside or its missing a second deck on top the cannon line for the pirates to run on but probably your last build is burned into my mind... so, probably I am just confused that there is just another build like it
  23. Stoertebricker

[MOC] Repentance - my new ship

Quite an interesting colour scheme, nice use of the big pirate ship piece. So nice build which gets an story on top! Somehow i think you should colorize the sails as well, probably going for some green to fit the dark green accents?
  24. Stoertebricker

    [MOC] Bay of Lost Treasures

Very nice layout! The only criticism I could find is that the colour distribution of the houses could be mixed up a bit, one side tan/yellow with black roof and the other side with lot of sand green. Otherwise its only missing some bigger ship with lots on sails
  25. Stoertebricker

    [MOC] La Flora

Great work, love the old brown! The only thin I am missing is a pic with the gun port open to have a broadside ready to shoot! The sail and rigging is very well done, probably you should add an self made flag, too. Then there will be no trouble between bluecoats and armada!
