  1. Sorry... very long, busy weekend... It's game over regardless, it's just a matter of who wins at this point. You played along with the town block very nicely when it was convenient, which given that there were two of you in it was pretty much every night. You could do what you wanted knowing everything that was happening. You can't have it both ways... am I either the killer or the framer? I'm neither. I never failed killing Emmett because I never could kill Emmett. Emmett didn't have any reason to think that he needed a different result heading into Day 8 because he figured the heat would be on me. Think about the flow of the game as a whole. The scum had basically no heat on them until Aiden caught Trenton's mistake about his mason claim. Ok fine... at that point, it still looked extremely likely that I would be the next conviction heading into Day 8. Emmett cast a vote for me very early to keep that heat on. There was no reason to cast suspicion your way if I was an easy lynch. You and Fred both jumped on, so at that point, Andrew can cast his eyes elsewhere with the expectation that there's no reason to think his vote for me is important to securing the lynch. What he and Emmett didn't expect was that the mood would shift and we'd end up lynching Andrew instead. By that point, Emmett's claim was already public and he couldn't back out. He stated openly he'd rather lynch me and was reluctant to jump to Andrew until it was clear that's where we were headed. I still find it funny that you think that because it's 100% not true. I had votes for me from the get-go and Andrew's very first comments were to go after you. It's clear he was trying to distance himself from Emmett and if Fred and I had joined in to take you out so much the better. Emmett was along for the ride yesterday as far as the Andrew lynch is concerned, he wasn't in to it. There'd be no reason to save myself over Andrew if we were both scum and the kill gets passed along. None at all.
  2. No, they're both scum so it doesn't matter to me who gets lynched first, just as long as we get one of them. I wasn't as confident on Andrew because I still considered Fred a possibility, but I was convinced there were two scum remaining so we had to lynch one of them. I think the whole idea that we had to nab the killer with the lynch is a bit silly. If the scum had a strongarm kill, they would've used it on one of the three nights when they weren't able to kill. Not night 3, probably, but after that. Heck, if I had a strongarm kill and Andrew was my scum buddy, I'd have used it one of those nights when I knew I was going to be blocked. Hey look, there was a kill when I was blocked, I can't be scum. That never happened, and it's not like Andrew blocked me every time. Fred did, too. I think Emmett played the long game because he could. There was no reason speed things up as long as scum weren't getting lynched. The blocking actions being known meant that they could wait things out as long as there were enough other players on which to cast suspicion, and I was the key target of a lot of that. When Trenton's failed mason claim went south, that's the first point at which Andrew and Emmett really had to start thinking about ways to drag this out. Emmett was quite reluctant to switch from me to Andrew yesterday. I think Emmett claimed to have tracked you today specifically because I called out yesterday that I thought he would track me or Fred. He got paranoid that doing exactly what I said would look scummy, so he tried a different claim today. If he claimed he saw you kill Fred, well that would be pretty risky because that would put you and Andrew as teammates, which was highly unlikely after yesterday. All of this is why I wanted to take Emmett out yesterday, but everyone thought it was better to take out Andrew first. Including Emmett. Shocking! :D At this point, the only alternative to Fred blocking me is Fred blocking Vincent. There's no reason to think he did that based on his public statements yesterday and the fact that he followed Vincent's lead on everything. I don't think Bob would've given out a block and a kill at this point. It was night 8 and we had finally nabbed two scum in a row. It would be a bit of a slap in the face of the hard work put in to do so. Plus, the last time he did that he kind of got reamed for it in the conclusion. The simplest answer is that Emmett inherited the scum kill from Trenton and all his talk of how he doesn't remember that is possible is a way of distancing himself from the fact that he got to inherit it. Maybe he was genuinely surprised when he found out and then thought that would be a good reaction to have publicly, too. The strongarm theory doesn't hold any water for reasons stated above and Fred clearly didn't block you. The only reason to not track Fred or me is if you were 100% convinced that Andrew was scum. If that's true, you shouldn't have tracked Vincent either because Andrew spent all day yesterday trying to get us to lynch Vincent. When Andrew's head was on the chopping block and he was thisclose to victory, he went after Vincent. You knew Andrew was scum and that neither Fred or I were, so you "tracked" Vincent in order to avoid the thing I called you out on yesterday. If you hadn't taken Fred out last night, I'd have been the only obvious lynch today and Fred would've been on your side. But what would have happened next? We'd have gone to night and Fred would've blocked you on the off chance that the game wasn't over. When Day 10 came along with no scum kill, Vincent would not have voted for Fred as the remaining blocker was town and you'd have lost with Fred and Vincent both voting for you. This was your only play.
  3. Hah! I told you it was Emmett. Fred blocked me last night, may he rest in peace. Vote: Emmett Ware Vincent, it's going to be your call if you want to reward Emmett on his scum play or if you want to let the town win.
  4. That's nonsense. I know I'm town and don't know that about Andrew. All knowing I was blocked does is confirm he's a blocker, which we already know. Emmett's the one who killed last night. I don't know which of Fred or Andrew is scum. So voting Andrew off gives us a chance to have the game continue. If we lynch me the game almost certainly ends tonight. If Andrew's town the same thing happens, but I admit there's a good chance he's scum. As for Fred's blocking target, if we lynch Andrew and he's scum, there will be no kill tonight, regardless of who Fred blocks. If I'm blocked you will "track" Fred or me and say, "Yep, Fred blocked Peter, let's lynch him" or "Nope, Peter did nothing, he must've been blocked from killing, let's lynch him." You won't kill anyone because if you do, then you'll be lynched. You need to have one more town lynch to win, because you can't kill at night unless it's the final kill needed to win. Fred can block you and the opposite situation happens, with the exception that I can't track anyone. Assuming we have a tomorrow, the lynch has pretty much already been decided as far as I can tell. I really don't want to sit through that tomorrow because you will all vote for me again and scum will win anyway. Vincent, you were right that me voting for Andrew is pointless, though. You've already said you won't vote for Emmett over me, so we're just prolonging the misery. If anyone wants to vote me out, I'll jump on board and we can end this now.
  5. You have admitted you've had no meaningful result for days now. Your tracking targets have all been people with no active night action or actions that you already knew. There's no reason to think you're still even using your tracking ability. When you're dead, the scum blocker will have to kill. It's as simple as that. The town blocker, whichever one it is, will know that the other blocker is the last scum, so their target is clear. I'll make the switch to Andrew... better him than me as it'll at least give us a shot, but I still think that Emmett is the better choice. Unvote: Emmett Ware Vote: Andrew Laurent
  6. Vincent, I can't access your spreadsheet. You'll need to open it up publicly or post a screenshot. I don't understand why you're considering Fred only in the context of him being the last scum. We have to consider him having a teammate out there as well. Shoot, we have to consider the possibility that we're at lylo today just like we had to consider it yesterday. Backing up a bit... Emmett's being blocked is what I think is fishy. While it's clear to me that one of our blockers is lying, they're both consistent with Emmett needing to cover his tracks. He can be teammates with either blocker. I don't think Bob would let the blockers keep blocking and perform a kill if there are two scum remaining, so Emmett needed to have an excuse to not report an action. I think he was looking for an out to not have to track Fred, track Vincent instead, but since no one confirmed that change he wasn't sure what to report. Ultimately he comes in and says he was blocked so he can avoid the direct question. Why would he suddenly want to track Vincent if he hadn't had any sort of suspicion on Vincent recently? None of my results are fake, but my action doesn't quite work like you think. It can be used only to identify scum who haven't killed and can kill. It's entirely possible Fred came up negative because he's a blocker who can't kill, or couldn't at the time. The whole point of my role, as I understand it, is that there are ways for the scum not to get caught by it. It's intentionally weaker. Why are you ignoring the chance that Fred is working with Emmett? To me, I think we need to kill Emmett and have the blockers block each other tonight. I think it's just as likely that Fred has been working with Emmett as Andrew. The common denominator for me is Emmett, not Andrew. If I need to vote for Andrew, I can, but I'm keeping my vote on Emmett for now. If Emmett is working alone then we can end this right here. If Andrew comes up town we'll be at a coin flip tomorrow and either me or Fred, whoever's left, is going to get lynched and lose us the game. You're going to lynch Fred if he's the last blocker and you'll lynch me before Emmett because you've been wanting to lynch me for ages now. I would rather go into tonight knowing we have at least one town blocker alive than a tracker. The tracker can't do anything to stop a kill and the blocker at least has a chance.
  7. Huh, wow. I guess the scum are consistent... they went after Jean when Joshua was lynched and now go after Aiden when Trenton is taken out. All of that fits very nicely for you, but I was indeed blocked. So Andrew's claim checks out. That doesn't make him town. So it's you and Andrew or Fred. I think you're claiming to be blocked because you can no longer track and block and kill, and you didn't want to lose the blocking action. So it's you and Andrew or Fred. Andrew - If he's scum, he blocked me, which would make sense as you'd be worried that I could still catch you out. I would've targeted you last night had I not been blocked. You come in today and cast aspersions on me because even though Andrew will take some heat, you just need to get me lynched. If he's town, you knew he was going to block me, then everything was fine as far as you were concerned. You can come in and claim to have been blocked and throw both of us under the bus. Fred - If he's scum, then you knew Andrew would block me and the townies were going at it and everything was fine. He could block me just in case, and no one would know it wasn't Andrew. Or he could have tried blocking Aiden in the hopes that if the kill did not go through, that Aiden could not have used his Governor action to save a townie from a lynch today. If he's town, then you knew he was blocking the kill target and everything was fine. This is all a bit of nonsense and putting the vote on Vincent ensures that everyone looks the other way from Emmett. That certainly makes Fred look a bit better. Yes, please. Vote: Emmett Ware I'm not yet sure between Andrew and Fred, but we have to lynch Emmett today or we're going to hand this to the scum.
  8. I'm starting to just assume this whenever you comment... that seems reasonable doesn't it?
  9. I think we can all use some sleep... Aiden bussing Trenton seems pretty unlikely to me at this point. Certainly not if there's only 1 scum left. What's this Ctrl-F thing you speak of? Is it like Command-F?
  10. I did that, with the caveat that I wanted to understand what Vincent and Aiden's reaction would be to the role sharing earlier in the game. There's half a dozen different theories that went through my head with the PM's from Vincent and two of them were that he was working with Aiden and someone else or he was scum with Aiden. Both were possibilities in my mind. His whole case against me yesterday was that the blocks meant that I was the killer because no kill had happened. But he didn't even consider Aiden as a possibility. I was convinced you'd find a reason to convict anyone but yourself and Aiden. Aiden wouldn't flip town if he's town because he'd have been telling the truth about the governor claim and saved himself. If he was scum, you'd be the next logical option. Looks like no one is going to be getting away with unlinked PM's in the future! Nice catch, Aiden! Hear hear. Unvote: Aiden Leon Vote: Trenton Monette Vincent, on the sharing of PM's... I have nothing to hide.
  11. So last night you, Vincent, came to me, convinced I'm the scum killer, with an offer to help strongarm a kill through. You're not trying to help us anymore, you're trying to help the scum. You see the numbers dwindling and you're trying to figure out how to get the scum win completed. Your logic that Fred and I are the remaining scum doesn't hold water given the kill last night with Fred blocking me. Of course Fred could be lying about the block but he was tracked the night before blocking me. We can't be at 3:3:1 because that would be parity. Parity in the rules clearly refers to the town and the scum as the third party component of the rules comes after that. Parity implies that the warring factions (town and scum) are even. If you're really a neutral survivor, you should have won already if there's 3 scum remaining. We have to be at 4:2:1 or 4:3, with you lying and having set up the bulletproof survivor as an early possible scum claim because you knew you'd need it later. What do I think we should do if it's 4:2:1 or 4:3? Well, there's a couple of options. In either case, lynching Vincent is a good option. In the first case, yes, we'd very possibly be down to 3:2 tomorrow, but at least we don't have to worry about where Vincent's motivation lies. In the second, we've caught out a lying scum. However, I think it's less likely that Vincent is scum because why would he come to me at night. He nearly got me lynched yesterday. Maybe he was hoping for an odd reaction that could be used to get that lynch through. So I lean towards the 4:2:1 scenario. So if it's 4:2:1, then who's most likely to be in the 2? Well, the first person is naturally Aiden for the same reasons that they both keep pushing on me. Aiden has been blocked when there was no kill. However, today, when we had a kill, Aiden wasn't blocked. What about Emmett's tracker result? Well there's two possible explanations. First, Emmett is a scum tracker who's lying. Second, Aiden is a ninja who can be blocked but not tracked. That would be consistent with all the night action results that we have. Right now, you're got it set up nicely. You're planning to lynch me today, kill tonight, and then lynch Fred tomorrow. Game over, scum wins. What we need to do today is follow through on the player you've inexplicably and repeatedly given a total free pass to, and that's Aiden. If he's truly a governor, he can stop today's lynch. I think you've either been trying to win with him for some time now or you confirmed it last night with a similar PM to the one you sent to me. Since you already had rapport, you just buddied up while we imploded lynching ourselves. I think the first thing we do is test Aiden's governor claim, and then lynch Vincent tomorrow pending no clearer answers from Emmett or the blockers. Vote: Aiden Leon
  12. Vincent... when did Aiden "guess" your role?

I'm unlikely to be on again before the end of the day, but I'll try to check in if I can. After all of that review by Vincent, I can find things in each of the people he's reviewed that suggest townie and that suggest scum. It hasn't moved the needle for me much on anyone from what I stated earlier. That said, I'm not going to cast a vote right now. I'm not prepared to vote for Aiden beyond what would be just a save my butt vote, and I don't think this is the right time for that. If pressed into a me or him I would obviously vote him, but otherwise I would probably vote for Fred due to the number of blockers/protectors. I don't feel strongly enough to lynch him given the lack of kills the last three nights, so I'm fine with not risking another mislynch.

Pirates Mafia III - Day Six

If I were scum and had any ability to identify you as neutral on night 1, I never would have called your behavior "very neutral". What would be the point of letting you know I knew at that stage? It would serve no purpose other than to raise suspicions. I do understand why that word would ping you, but I've never heard of a town or scum aligned survivor. That hardly makes sense. Vincent, I see your vote analysis, and I personally feel good about it. Not sure you read it the way I do, but I stand behind my approach to each day's vote.

Pirates Mafia III - Day Six

I'm not suggesting that at all. If I thought that then I would've voted for you. I'm convinced you're neutral but also that we should vote for someone we think is scum. No, it doesn't tell me if someone has a killing role. It only tells me if someone has an unused kill ability. I confirmed that and it's a big drawback to the role. If someone has already killed, then they look just like any other player who has no ability to kill. That's precisely why I held out sharing it. At the start of the game, any scum could potentially give me a positive result, except the night 1 killer if they're successful. Emmett is a logical kill choice and that could indeed explain the lack of kill last night. I understand why anyone would think it could be me or Aiden based on the blocks, too, but it wasn't me. Even with my night 3 result on Aiden, it could be him if he killed on either of the first two nights. That said, I also think there's a real chance that the scum are choosing not to kill, too, as was suggested earlier. Maybe Vincent is right and they targeted him night 3, then found the resulting confusion so helpful they're letting it play out. A night kill would render the blocked players in the clear, and given how many PR's are known, would narrow the rest of the group down significantly. I agree with Vincent that Emmett and Andrew are most likely town. With Fred, I'm not as convinced. Unless he and Emmett are both scum, which I don't think so, it's pretty clear that Fred is at least a blocker. I obviously had suspicions on him early and that's why I targeted him. Aiden and Trenton both have claims that can't easily be proven, and Robin has been odd. He said he hasn't used his action much... the first three nights they were unsuccessful. He claims to have targeted Emmett the last two nights, but that doesn't fit the narrative of not using his actions earlier.
