What like shadow dropping the long rumoured and hence highly anticipated Metroid Prime remake?

Literally in this forum people were glad to be getting a courtyard build, impressed by how you could change it to be half destroyed, and excited that you can also build the viaduct.

Just saw the movie. It was amazing! It felt like such a good homage to the first 3 and even the 4th. Also felt like some great character development and felt like a good closing chapter by the end of it.
Might go see it again just for the music.

Hey!
I became interested in Indy when Crystal Skull released when I was a kid. Very much helped by the Lego theme.
Also, people who are kids now were not kids when Crystal Skull came out. The two have nothing to do with each other.

Remember when we were speculating thatExpecto Patronum could be Aberforth on the viaduct? I guess we can make this scene after all!

The lack of one doesn't give me hope for the troll in the bathroom being made, which is probably my most wanted set.
Anyone spotted the CGI error on the back of the Battle of Hogwarts box yet?

Omg this is so cool! I did wonder what those exposed SNOT pieces were for. Maybe the Lego Harry Potter gods heard me...
I'm a big fan of the option to use various wand red/green sparks things. That's a very unexpected addition.
Also, I quite like the bridge build. Just as I was thinking how I can cut back on Harry Potter spending, they're making it worth buying duplicates of the biggest set

WWW seems to be 95€ on lego.com - I know its just 5€ more than expected, but its still annoying that Lego price increases are continuing for the second year in a row.
Most have gone up. Based on Brickset:
Expecto Patronum $64.99 -> $69.99
Battle of Hogwarts $84.99 -> $84.99
Quidditch Trunk $64.99 -> $69.99
and finally…
Dobby $39.99 -> $29.99(!?)

It has no depth or substance whatsoever, just an empty facade. The minifigures are good, glad they fixed Harry's legs. This set has an even bigger problem tho — it feels empty. The Room of Requirement feels much more packed, and only one of them is based on the biggest battle in this universe.
We all thought that WWW looked like a facade with no detailed interior from exterior shots, and turns out it isn’t, though. So I’m not sure it’s wise to assume it’s a facade till we get interior shots to judge that.
I do think it looks a bit empty outside. I would have liked some rubble or broken walls or a side build of some sort. (The perfectly stable walls is a stark contrast to the background of the box, in fact! Another disadvantage of the modular system I suppose.)

What do we think the side rooms are in the BoH set, btw?

Ambitious of Lego suggesting that Harry and Voldemort will be able to stand up with those big wand attachments!

With some modifications I’m sure it can become compatible, but the fact that it most likely won’t be designed to go with that set is quite frankly ridiculous
You're being overly dramatic based on pure speculation...
How is it insulating they are starting a new line? I don't follow.
8 minutes ago, Retro Brick Reviews said:That was my biggest problem with not just WWW but all the DA buildings, with the only exceptions of Ollivander's and the ice cream parlor all of the interiors were really uninteresting. I'll probably get this set because the interior makes this much closer to the WWW I'd always wanted back in 2010 (and also this one isn't awkwardly cut off on one side lmao)
Yes the interior on this one looks fantastic! And people were so quick to complain about it based on an exterior shot...

I like Sirius’ Rescue because it made me realise I didn’t need to collect EVERY Harry Potter set :P

Battle of Hogwarts looks really good! I had my reservations when PromoBricks said Clock Tower. Im pleased it’s the Entrance Hall + courtyard (makes me less inclined to bother with the Sirius’ Rescue set I’ve been on the fence about too for its courtyard).
What I like most about it though is it’s finally a green roof Hogwarts set that doesn’t look to suffer in the exterior! Perhaps this indicates a move away from the focus on the modular system, which has hampered the design of some of the 2021+ sets.
Hogwarts Express also looks nice. I initially thought it was a substantial improvement on the 2018 one, before realising they’re both just really good. Also nice to get two carriages. I won’t buy the set since I’m happy with the 2018 set; however, I like the Hogsmeade Station section. Definitely one I’ll look to Bricklink the Hogsmeade bags.
Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes looks good. I’ll stick with getting the full Diagon Alley version at some point and skipping this, though that side build is intriguing.
Dobby, Patronus, Quidditch I’m not interested in.
Looks a solid wave, but one I think I can save plenty of money on. Looking forward to seeing Gringotts and the vault GWP too, but I’m most excited to see the microscale Hogwarts.
Unrelated, I’ve seen many people on YouTube trying to say how they always used to joke about a UCS Dobby’s sock… didn’t that originate here though?

I believe that 76423 is the number of the train and 76422 the station. Weasleys Wizard Wheezes set has a number, that is probably not known yet. I see more than 800 pieces. Of course everything can be wrong :)
Why must the train be over 1000 pieces? The 2018 version was 801 pieces including the station, which was about as substantial as the Hogsmeade one here.

House banners! Modular Hogwarts! Microscale Hogwarts! Another trunk! Re-doing sets from 20 years ago that don't fit in with any current system! Modular Diagon Alley! Just to see what sticks.
Yeah I've kinda got to this point with the theme. Microscale Hogwarts, Gringotts, Battle of Hogwarts and the 2nd Task are the only sets this year I'm actually fussed about.

10 hours ago, Slytherin Alumni said:Topic Bricks new video suggests a rumor they won’t be making anymore Hogwarts expansions after this year. Can anyone verify? If true, that’s promising as 2-3 sets per year were taken by Hogwarts expansions. More room for other sets. Hopefully some we’ve never gotten before.
TopicBricks seems to mindlessly speculate at times and then state it as fact (for example, he said that the Hogwarts Express will be motorised and no one else has said that), so I very much doubt that's the case. Looks just like a clickbait thumbnail to me.

Clock Tower AGAIN? (Unless Your guys' hunch about it being the clock in front of the Great Hall is correct.)
Feels like this theme is starting to draw to a close for me tbh... I don't mind that!

Having to print over the hat band kinda defeats the purpose of having it moulded in the first place
I don’t think I’m being dramatic here. Just questioning why they didn’t create a more versatile piece
I think they’ll use the existing part, and then his grey hair will be a sticker

14 hours ago, BrickBob Studpants said:Well, this is strong evidence for the theory that the DoD sets weren‘t cancelled. Instead, they must never have been planned to begin with. Otherwise, they would have designed a more versatile piece
This also explains why they didn‘t use it for Grant or Hammond in the new Jurassic Park sets.
Or maybe they were just going to go with inaccurate hair colours… like the pre-2018 Harry Potter theme having the Philosopher’s Stone and Deathly Hallows student minifigs the same height.

Does anyone else watch movies and think about how it could be incorporated into a Lego game?
I’ve been playing Lego Jurassic World lately, and it’s very clear where they’ve struggled to find enough material to make a whole 5 levels out of it, as you get some fairly short, relatively uninteresting levels. Especially in the 2nd and 3rd movies.
However IMO Indy fits into the structure very well. These are my ideas for how I think Dial of Destiny could work, with 6 level movies like in Indy 1:
1. Castle + train
2. College + New York City parade
3. Morocco auction + tuk tuk chase
4. Underwater in Greece + boat fight
5. Ear of Dionysius cavern
6. Flying the plane through the fissure + Siege of Syracuse
