Moff Skal Rhonba and Lieutenant Commander Scosalt Pronma of the once mighty 224th Imperial Armored Division emerge from the unknown regions to pledge their allegiance to The Imperial Consortium!

Moff Skal Rhonba [SW Factions RPG]

     Moff Rhonba

After devastating losses during the galactic civil war, Rhonba’s starship was hijacked by rebel agents during The Battle of Fondor. The rebels sabotaged the navigation system causing the ship to blast into hyperspace, to places unknown… The 224th managed to reclaim the ship, but was now alone, in unknown territory…

Lieutenant Commander Scosalt Pronma [SW Factions RPG]

     Lieutenant Commander Scosalt Pronma

Scouts of The Imperial Triumvirate had discovered the remaining 224th during their excursion to the unknown regions. By the time they returned to headquarters, the New Republic had repelled the Triumvirate's advance, causing them to splinter into multiple imperial remnants.

Imperial Triumvirtae forces wreak havoc on the citizens of Iridonia. Ortibal bombardment destroys defenses vital to the protection of the planet. Now, light anti-infantry artillary is deployed against the remaining insurgents. The TIE-ap1, also known as the TIE-Mauler is feared for it's brutal tactics involving speed and agility to maul it's enemies down as they flee for cover. Three anti-infantry cannons are mounted beneath it, along with a detachment for a sentry. With the power supply to the urban areas destroyed, the people will starve, berfore they perish against the might of the empire. The insurgents never stood a chance....

Having swept through the outskirts with ease, Bravura squad and the 224th have reached the urban settlements. A brutal close-quarters battle between the remaining citizens and waves of imperial forces takes place. People fight and flee as chaos ensues. The Imperial Triumvirate has shown it’s hand, and the resisting locals have been outplayed. Order and prosperity will soon be upon us. Those who oppose are burned. Glorious victory is now, finally, a certainty! To the Empire!

The Crescentius orbits the Iridonia system. DT-R65 and his BRAVURA Squad are expecting a new presence to join them in the briefing room...

A rush of cold air bursts through the blast door. Moff Koruth enters the briefing. Cold light shapes the silhouette of his shadow. Two of his troopers recruited from the once mighty 224th IAD follow closely.

    DT-R65:

Moff Koruth! Your arrival has been long anticipated.

    Moff Koruth:

Let us get to the matter at hand.

    DT-R65:

Of course, As you can see, Our fleet has blocked off all surrounding hyperspace lanes, and commenced disrupting communications across the system. Cpt. Lemrick has landed with two of my squad. Cdr Bannon and the Reaper squad have landed as well.

    A New World... [Factions RPG]

The rest of my squad, along with your troops will eliminate rebel forces across the outskirts before destroying these strategic positions near the populated areas. My men are otherwise at your disposal sir.

    A New World... [Factions RPG]

    Moff Kurath:

Excellent work commander. Notify Commander Bannon, Captain Lemrick and Admiral Neimor of my arrival. I will require 10 of your best men and 20 centuries of stormtroopers. Along with the 224th Imperial armored division, wiping out the outposts will be a trivial matter, a display of power that will imprint fear into the enemy. Hold your heavy gear until we reach the suburbs, we will need the fuel…

    A New World... [Factions RPG]

    DT-R65:

    Yes, sir...

“Ambria was a rather peaceful place...” says Coda as he walks past DT-R65 on his way to the bridge of the crescendo for the briefing. “Apart from the beast that almost devoured me.” DT-R65 replies. Coda grins at him. DT-R65 replies with a deadly stare. Coda halts, and the grin fades slightly. “I suppose it wasn’t my time, not yet.” says DT-R65. Coda releases his breath and nodds with a smile. “A LL-30 blaster pistol will get you far, despite its size.” he chuckles. DT-R65 smiles, for the first time in a while... Mission after mission... putting your life on the line… It takes a mental toll. At the same time, one is always reminded why this effort matters, and the results are palpable. The hope of a new order keeps DT-R65 going.

DT-R65 enters the bridge, all of Bravura Squad is waiting for him around the holotable. The transmission comes through…

“Inscriptions on the pike recovered by your squad revealed the coordinates to a nightbrother stronghold on Dathomir. We’ve had trouble identifying all the markings on the artifact, but it would seem an object, some sort of key has been placed here. Your mission is to recover the key, and document the scriptures surrounding it. Wipe out any resistance.

The nightbrothers are savage warriors, with primitive weapons. Use your technological assets to your advantage. IG-828 will be accompanying you.”

    Dusk on Dathomir...

    [excerpt from mission log]

A treacherous meeting committee welcomes us with their blunt force weapons and bows and arrows. They don’t stand a chance against our blasters. IG-828 is quite handy with the blaster pistol. The temple is large, a swamp surrounds it, a small settlement accentuates the fact that we will undoubtedly cross swords with more of the night brothers. As we approach the entrance, the sky darkens, and the moons of Dathomir awaken. Lanterns lead the way towards the main entrance, a trap set by the locals. Dolore takes to the heights to cover our position. IG-828, Coda, Ferroce and myself walk spring the trap… A giant boulder crashes into the ground in front of us. We turn around to see a platoon of nightbrothers streaming out from the tunnels and caverns behind us. “30 hostiles approaching from the south” reads through the comms. Dolore has our back. Coda picks off the first barbarians. More of them tumble through the terrain. “Commander, watch your back!” From behind the large boulder a beast emerges, a nydaak. It’s huge arm sweeps towards me and IG-828. The impact slings us towards the cliff, IG-828 flies off the edge into the abyss. I’m left immobilized. Ferroce turns towards the nydak. He blasts it, but it’s hide is too thick. The bolts won’t penetrate deep enough. The beast approaches Ferroce. He runs up an incline to flank it, but the creature predicts his move, smacking him to the ground. Coda stands alone, as Dolore covers him from the nightbrothers. He smacks a power charge into his repeating blaster and lets loose on the nydak. It runs straight at him. The nydak swipes towards Coda as a wall of blaster fire covers it's chest. The swipe narrowly misses Coda, and the creature collapses. It lays motionless in the red dirt. The remaining nightbrothers scatter. The destructive power the heavy repeater displays against the nydak is enough to repel them. Ferroce and I recover, and walk towards the end of the cliff. IG-828 has been lost…

The temple reveals the altar to which what used to be a key of sorts, but whatever was there had been stolen. Our mission is a failure…

Dathomir had taken the wind out of us… The loss of IG-828 was a major setback. He was never fully decrypted. We would never find all the secrets he had to share with us. A tremendous asset in battle, IG-828 will be deeply missed. However, the expansion of the triumvirate is infinite. We must move on despite our setbacks. Onderon had been an interest of the republic during the clone wars. In uncertain times such as these, all possibilities must be considered. A further expedition of Onderon has to be carried out…

    Secret missions of the Empire...

The jungles were thick, moist ground, red with iron sediment and clay covers the planet's natural surface. An absolute nightmare for our walkers…

    Secret missions of the Empire...

Upon arrival in the jungle, Bravura squad begins their expedition with searching the former imperial outposts. Any clues as to why the planet was surrendered would be helpful. Unfortunately imperial records had gone cold after the destruction of the second death star. Our own records were scarce, but a few reports of raids from the galaxy’s scum had been filed.

    Secret missions of the Empire...

The system has certainly attracted the pykes. Gangsters indicate some sort of wealth to the area. And these outposts weren’t abandoned without resistance… The jungle is also filled with ruins from a bygone era. A historical site… If we can clear out this jungle, maybe we can find more of these ruins, perhaps something of value has been left behind…

Some fantastic landscaping here, well done! Your close-up shots are a little dark, though. And I wish you'd included some bigger trees. For such a large slice of the Forest Moon, it's hard to tell.

Thank you very much! The constructive criticism is much appreciated!

Agree with Ross' points about the tall trees. That being said, there's soooo much awesome stuff in this... I don't know where to begin, so I'll just riff off a few highlights to me: First off, the base - it is beautiful, and the layering of different levels work flawlessly! Great work on the canisters as well, and lastly the bounty hunters in imperial armor, is a brilliant story point. Of course the galaxy will be crawling with criminals in salvaged imp armor - much like what we see in the resistance show! Nice deep cut!

    Well done! 👏

Thank you so much! Glad you like the bounty hunters, definitely took some inspiration from the resistance show, but also from Dengar and Evalo Moral from the clone wars. Seeing some salvaged cloe armor on "civilians" would also be quite cool!

Holy Moly! What a big and great MOC.Perfect in every way (except the missing trees, but hey, maybe the empire needed some room for troops and material)

Just one question: Is Moff his name or title?:classic:

Thanks a ton! I figured indeed that the empire needed some room for their assembly, and they aren't exactly know for being environmentalists. xD If I had more time to put towrds this MOC I certainly would have added a larger tree as well. His designation is DT-R65, Sirname is Kurath, and his title is Moff.

Thank you very much! There is rarely an opportunity to display larger amounts of troopers, so I'm glad I could display my shock troopers with this build. The pit droid has just been stepped on by the AT-RT and coincidentally there was a puddle of blood there from previous troopers. I didn't notice until you pointed it out. Looks a bit odd...xD.

Our missions on Ambria and Dathomir were a bit too exciting for my liking, although they had earned me a promotion and a trust very valuable to me. Our next mission would be to secure the moon of Endor, where that fateful battle, in which we lost so many, was fought. It was about time we had our revenge, and as the NR rangers suspect shady business going on throughout the galaxy, the core is conveniently in denial of our ever-growing presence. We must be patient. Our time will come. The time when we have amassed enough resources to complete our ultimate mission. The final mission…

    Wreckage of the Empire

As DT-R65 walks out of the lambda class shuttle, the moist air condenses on his visors, bringing him back to when he first fought here. The objective? Acquire weapons stored since before the first battle of Endor and advise the mobilization of troops to exterminate the local fauna.

    Wreckage of the Empire

It seems smugglers and bounty hunter scum had already claimed the weapons cache, and were now selling weapons to both NR and Triumvirate forces. A reminder of the accelerating chaos growing in the galaxy with the New republic regime…

Wreckage of the EmpireWreckage of the Empire

Lieutenant Conwick, operating number ISB-098, is in charge of one of the platoons stationed here. As we make our way towards the received coordinates fallen troopers lay scattered, impaled and beaten. Helmets pierced by pikes decorate this savage combat zone. The fauna was more intelligent than anticipated, and was quick to adapt. We do however have one advantage; brute force.

Wreckage of the EmpireWreckage of the EmpireWreckage of the Empire

Conwick approaches on an AT-RT. Haven’t seen one of those in ages… In front of him stands the presumed weapons dealer, a Duros. A Pyke stands beside him, a bounty hunter by the looks of him, no doubt connected to the syndicate. They wear imperial armor, a mockery of the uniform… Their pit droids drop off the crate filled with high standard mandalorian weapons. They will serve the empire most effectively…

This is a really clever way to create the feeling of a huge cave! That spider thing is terrifying...

One improvement suggestion would be to add some rock-work to the metal frames. That way it would look more like the metal bars was build into the rock...

    Great build!

Yes, I agree, thanks a lot!

    14 hours ago, RocketBoy said:

Your pictures always look so good. They really sell your builds.
Feedback: I hope this doesn't come off too harsh, but the essential structure of the build is, naturally, three flat planes stacked on top of each other, with big part rails in between to make it all x32 high. There is a part of me that just sees those three flat planes stacked together when I see the build, and it feels like some height variation inside of the plates would've added some dynamics. Maybe if the back of the build was rockwork and cave wall rather than just the rails, that might be cool too.
That said, structure aside, the three planes are executed with zero flaws. As you demonstrate every time, you've really nailed your tiling/freeform/surface building, and the rocks and props look smooth. I also really like that speeder, I think it's well adapted for the context.
The rock, spider, and speeder are my favorite parts of this. I personally think you should shoot for some non-flat surfaces and leave the big rail parts out next time.
Cheers, it's a great build overall.

Not harsh at all! I appreciate the great feedback, and take it to heart. I'm glad you like it!

Bravura squad has once again been dispatched, this time to Ambria, on the search for Moff Pyerce’s forces. Coda, Dolore and Ferroce along with ISB had approached a settlement north of the LZ. DT-R65 and IG-828 explored the natural formations...

    "Dank Ferrick" SW Faction RPG

DT-R65, IG-828 and specialists from the ISB roamed the horizon on an infantry support platform, repurposed for imperial use as a transport. A cloud of steam rises a wall ahead of them. IG-828 turns toward DT-R65. He nodds, and directs the speeder towards the steam. A white wall lay before them. “This could be a vent, from a generator, Could also be a natural vent.” says DT-R65. “We should go down there.” says one of the specialists. DT-R65 takes off his helmet, takes a knee in the barron and hot sand. He feels its coarseness between his fingers. The area around the steam has an abundance of minerals from the core.

DT-R65:  “I used to work in places like this… I’ll go down. IG-828 will lower me down with his grappling hook.” He puts on his helmet and IG-828 hands him the hook. The temperature rises as DT.R65 descends. “We’re receiving a transmission from headquarters.” says the specialist to IG-828. IG turns toward him, sharply as if being interrupted. The trooper takes a step back, slightly unsettled by this inhuman looking droid. “We are to return to the Crescendo for a new briefing. Bravura has established a base near the settlement, north-west of our position.” The droid turns back towards the steam, and DT-R65 cannot be seen because of it.

The jedi were the guardians of peace in the galaxy. Oh, how they have fallen… I was alive back then, albeit a very young man, I understood the situation quite well. I knew where I stood. I’ve always known. People say you should be open to new ideas. Well, I was, I saw their point of view, and I said: to hell with it. … I once spoke to the great emperor you know, on multiple occasions. Him and I, we came from the same place, in thought as well. You know, the jedi were almost wiped out in the first battle of geonosis. I wish they had been, would have saved the world all this chaos…
