    The Penguin's Batman Minifigures. )

Okay, this is going to be one of the biggest posts in my life! Its time for Batbrick to play catch-up! Page 4. Red Claw: I was never a fan of the Red Claw character, but I love how you've done her robe thing and the hair with the white line is great. I'm not sold on the face though, her lips look a bit mangled and there's a noticeably smudge on her forehead. The Mad Monk: Now this is more like it! It seems great minds think alike friend since I've always planned to make the fig exactly like that if I ever got one of those Royal Guard figs, though I would've have put and appropriate head and kept the gap. Mind you, I still like how you've done it, and the skull and crossbones is a great touch. Deadshot: I quite like him! You've done a good job on the paint there, and while some of the lines are a little wobbly, given that he's practically entirely painted I'd say you did a good job. Count Vertigo: Simplicity is sometimes the best option I find, and you've done it to great effect here. The use of the simple dark grey torso really works with just the black nit painted at the top, and you chose the perfect head to paint the Vertigo eye onto. The painted cape is wonderful too! Deadshot: I'll be honest, I don't like this one very much. The use of red should really be orange, and Deadshot only has one eye, so he doesn't have an eye opening on the black side where you've done one. Page 5. Daniel Mockridge: Now this is more like it! You chose the perfect face for him, definitely getting the same vibe as his BTAS Riddler boss counterpart. The cut back hair has a few notches, but ultimately it looks much better this way than if you not done it at all. Pamela Isly:One of my favourites so far! Love the choice of the red hair, and the little details such as the green eyes, and Poison Ivy costume underneath are fantastic. And consider your idea of an upside down crystal as a potion officially stolen my friend! BTAS Robin: You've hit a great stride now, love the way you've done the dark green gloves. The double coloured cape I tried once, but mine were bent so I couldn't do it as well as you have. Anthony Romulus:Fantastic! I'm very jealous that you have that Werewolf head as I wanted one to make a Manbat (just cut off the nose bit I thought), I never thought of doing this. Works really well though, and the paintjob is fantastic! Joker Fish:Wow! I can't believe I didn't think of this! They look perfect, would it be okay for me to copy them, and credit you if they ever turn up in a picture? Page 6. Harvey Bullock: I'm a big fan of Harvey Bullock, and you've done a great job on him. Great minds think alike of the Indy head, I like how you've touched his face up a bit. Good choice of coat, I did the dark grey striped one, and this one for Gordon. Your Boss: Well she certainly looks evil! Rocky Ballantine: I'll be honest again, I'm not a fan of this one. The hair is a bit too bright and obviously modded, and her face looks a little evil. Longcoat Penguin: Haha, you'll never stop with the Penguin figs will you? This looks very good, I've noticed quite a few people doing this, I might have to join in and make a coat for Gordon. Batarang and Belt Batman: Love the Batarang, simple yet different. The belt looks good too, though it has a buckle in a most unfortunate spot....and shape....if you know what I mean Joker's Mime Goons: Love the look, I've always wanted a mime for Joker's gang. There's a couple of imperfections, but overall these are great, where are the hats from? Bane's Backpack: Nice! I never thought of doing that with the Ghostbusters pack. It looks quite neat, albeit a bit too big. Robin's Bike: Why do you mock me? I always wanted a red bike for Robin and the sets kept disappointing me. Love the paint job, the different colours look great. Catwoman's Whip: Where did you get this from? I really want it, it looks much better than the standard Lego one. Blackgate Prisoners: I prefer the "Stonegate" title from BTAs, but anyway, these look great. Very similar to mine, but I used orange construction torsos, which work, but these are better. What set are they from? Gotham Homeless: Nice, good use of the ripped torso and long hair. I prefer my use of it as a mugging/crime victim, but this is probably more useful for general setups. Generic Gotham Citizens: very nice! Not much else to say apart from I love how many different coat torsos you have, also, where are the women? New Scarecrow: Excellent, probably your best character update yet. The use of the troll cape is inspired and the new face is far scarier. Great stuff. Scarecrow Minions: Very good, same idea as me, those skull heads were perfect really. I think they should lose the capes though, I think they look a bit silly with them. Evening Penguin: Grief! How many can you do of him!? This one is quite nice actually, though I prefer the purple bathrobe. That said, I imagine Penguin as being a man who never wears the same thing twice. Potbelly Penguin: Brilliant! I really like this one! But does he shower with a monocle? Page 7. Nyssa Raatko: Obscure, but very well done my friend. Sometime simplicity is the best option, and I like how you've done that here. Especially since her expression is quite neat, it fits with how manipulative she is in her appearances. Solomon Grundy:A bit different from the comic in having brown/grey skin over white, but it really looks great surprisingly! The white hair on top becomes far more effective as a result! Captain Stingaree: Now you're getting desperate! Despite being an extremely odd character you've done good justice for him here. The paintjob has a few wonks but overall quite nice, and a good face choice as usual. Mr Toad: I haven't read a lot of Grant Morrison's most recent Batman run, but I do like the look of this character very much, and you've translated him well, especially with all the warts on his face. Page 8. Mirror Man: Never heard of him, but certainly looks accurate to the pic, and that hairpiece is fabulous. Deacon Blackfire: And again some great simplicity there. I was mixed on the comic he appeared in but I like the look you've given him, and again the white hair is really effective, I'm annoyed the Lego Company doesn't make much of them. Crazy Quilt: Yes! Yes! You've finally extended to the gloriously 60's world of BTBATB! And a fantastic first fig here. Suitably multicoloured, and the helmet is brilliant, makes me want to get the Imperial Battlepack set just for it. Perfect face choice again, it appears to be your strong suit. Fat Penguin: Haha! Another one! I actually quite like this, I can see why Lego doesn't do it but it doesn't look nearly as strange as I would've though, and definitely works for this character. Though I understand you've slimmed down recently? Soviet Superman: Superman: Red son was a very good comic and you've certainly done justice with the characers here. Love the Communist hammer and sickle symbol, I magine that would've been hard to pull off. Soviet Batman: I laughed at the "Sexy Hat" caption. The actual fig is very nice too, the furry hat is fantastic and the various gadgets on the uniform are classic. I'm not sure on the ragged cape, but as per usual an excellent face choice with the smirky Batman. Soviet Penguin: Argh! This one is you! I can't believe how normal the hat looks, it fits in seamlessly. I can't imagine a Soviet Penguin would be up to much good... Page 9. I've already commented on Vreeland and Freeze so I'll move to the next; New Hair Nightwing: I love that hairpiece! Is that from Brickforge? Either way, it suits Nightwing very well, much better than his BTAS mullet. White Penguin: Good grief another one! Actually this looks quite good, the purple umbrella from the Lego Batman game is great and he certainly bears a good similarity to the posed figure he's in front of. Page 10. The Creeper: Nice! I was hoping you'd get around to the Creeper sometime. I'm glad you didn't try to paint him yellow, and the use of cut down brown hair for his...mane....thing...really works! Excellent choice of face again again again, though personally I'm using that one for a Pre-Chemical Bath Joker. Yko Naw Ibonek: We'll he's different, I'll give you that! The evil goatee is a humourous touch I liked. Page 11. Hugo Strange: I was hoping you'd make him too! Is that the Prince of Persia character head? If so, excellent job of changing it, your skills are getting very good. I love that he has one eyebrow raised. Leslie Thompkins: I always loved Leslie as a character, her pascifism is very different to the punching superheroics of most comics. This is a great version, is that the Harry Potter character head? I think it is in the Hogwarts set coming this year too which I'll be getting, mind if I copy? The MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSIC MEEEEEIIIIISTEEEEEER!!!: Epic! I'm so glad oyu made him, what did you think of the musical episode? I love it to bits, and you've translated him very smoothly to Lego form. His orchestral wand and lime lined hat in particular are charming. JammieKiller:Er, what? Fell sorry for the ostrich. Minerva: Very nice, you've used the right hair for sure. I like the body but I think the gold is a bit too dark and looks a bit off. Ma Parker: I quite like it, but I think she actually looks much more like Ma Kent, Superman's adopted Mother. In fact, I think you should change her to that BTBATB Black Canary: I'm so glad you made her my friend, BTBATB Black Canary is one of my favourite characters on that show and my favourite version of her. Again simplicity works, I'm glad you didn't try something too complex, and the hair is the best possible choice. Straight A's from me. BTBATB Green Arrow: Yay! You're making characters from BTBATB. I find it quite ironic that despite being a thread made for Batfigs two of the best ones are not Batfigs. The coloured quiver and painted mask look very good, I can't find fault in this one. New Haircut Robin: I really like that hairpiece and want it badly. Definitely suits the Tim Drake suit, as he had longer hair during his stint in it. Howard Adams: Is he the one in your Batman comic a while back? Not much else to say apart from he looks fine and suitably business-like. Poison Ivy's Goon: Did oyu get this idea from me or did we both just do the "Great minds Think Alike" thing again? I think the latter, because the Army head and Space Police Alien body were made for a Plant Goon. Updated Riddler: Wow, I really hope TLc does a bowler hat one day. There are a few frays and bends in your custom pieces but overall this looks much better with them than without. The dark green is great too and your "? Cane" is much better than mine. Penguin's New Suit: I think that's a recoloured Penguin suit, wither way it looks good, but I refuse to comment further on your Penguin outfits! Page 12. Updated Joker: Very nice! I personally prefer could go either bright or dark on the Joker's hair so its nice to see it here. That extra long gun however is the great stuff! Montague Kane: Briliant choice of everything here frankly, he looks exactly like his animated counterpart from Zatanna. The face espeically. Zatanna:And here she is herself! I was also looking forward to this one eventually, since she has good ties to the Batworld. The hair and hat work very nicely, is the top just cut off? I think she should just have flesh tone legs though, I'm not sure the grey works. General Vreeland: That was such a hilarious episode with the tank, I'm glad oyu caught his overly angry facial expression. Can I copy the use of goggles and markings? I would of course credit you. Grant Walker: AKA Walt Disney knock-off Good cohice of suit, And I can't imagine a better face, he even has dark eye patches. Page 13. Kyodai Ken: I laughed when I saw this, its exactly the same as the Kyodai Ken I made! I dismantled him to make Lady Shiva instead though. Calender Man: Very neat! I like how you've based it on all three versions, a neat amalgamated version of them, the dates scrawled on the cape is the best part, as well as his nonchalant face. Prometheus: I really, really don't like the Prometheus character, but you've done great work with him here as usual. The shoulder pads especially are wonderful, though personally I would've gone without painted the gold on the arms, I don't think it works. Joker and Penguin coattails: nice! I never would've thought of this. Penguin's ones look much better I think though, as Joker's are too thin and as a result look a bit odd. Whew, that's easily my biggest post ever! Now to just wrap up by replying to a couple of quotes by you not directed at me: Aww, sometimes I don't know why I dangle you over rooftops to extract information Allow me to provide the Lounge in question Batbrick Away! (Having finally finished an enormous post!)

    Movies you can't unsee!

What are you? The enemy of fun? Agreed to a ridiculous extent, and don't get me started on the travesty that is Breaking Dawn. I cannot stand entire pages devoted to describing the skin of Stephanie Myer's fanfic insert dream boyfriend, nor an utterly vacant and repulsive character like Bella who exists merely for the purpose of being a nearly empty reader insert dream for screaming fangirls. I could go on, but instead I'll merely segue into the atrocious Battlefiled Earth film, based on the atrociously offensive work of Scientology creator L. Ron Hubbard. I could go onto that, but instead I'll segue again onto Stealth. Which was just rubbish. And Pearl Harbour too, which was historically inaccurate and rubbish. Batbrick Away!
  3. I'll let the Inventor answer this one for me: Dalek Priority 1: Ensure the survival of the Dalek race. Yeah, regardless of what you think of their look (I personally like it though I think they are a bit too bulky) you have to admit its great that the regular Daleks are finally capable of plotting again, much like the one if the first Dalek ep in Series 1. Every one of them since then have just been catchphrase spouting soldiers. Batbrick Away!
  4. Did you miss the part where all of reality was at stake? I think every race ever would be willing to stop what they're doing to prevent that from happening. Batbrick Away!

    Lego: Space - The Comic

Huh, I didn't see that coming either. Quite clever too, I thought the ice cream thing was just there for the Luscious jokes, your plots are getting much smarter and professional KDog! I'll be interested to hear what Romero has to say, and whther or not it is of any significance other than "I escaped." Batbrick Away!

    Two-headed zombie - question

Question has already been answered I know, but i just want to say that zombie design is quite neat, if a little too custommed for my taste. When I have spare time I'm going to try to make a more official looking one. Batbrick Away!

    10213 Shuttle Adventure

Word of advice; never question Sinner on anything remotely technological, you'll be killed by all the smugness emanating from his posts I'm loving the use of pieces for this set, the brown on the tank, curved white and normal brick pieces intrigue me greatly, since my Iceberg Lounge set me back significantly on that front. I'm becoming more interested in this set now, espeically since my annual/occasional James Bond obsession has kicked in and I want to add a giant laser on top of it. And someone can call me out on how ridiculously unscientific that is Batbrick!

    Post Office

Great little set-up there Klaus-Deiter, the carriage in particular I like since I'm so rubbish at making them. The actual Post Office is very nice, I wouldn't have expected so much yellow to work but it does, and even though I think the top section where the sign is to go looks a little bare the interior more than makes up for that Batbrick Away!
  9. Batbrick

    Poison Ivy's Gotham Park

No probs, and regarding the bolded part of your post. Let's just say for now that great minds think alike. Be sure to check out The Evil Overlord List. Batbrick Away!

MOC: Pizza Planet pickup minifig scale

Another great job Allansmith! You're on a great Pixar run here, and this is not in any way a disappointment. Love the brickbuilt rocket on top and the adherence to the proper colours. I think it is a little thin but apart from that spot on! Batbrick Away!
  11. The Daleks have worked with many species many times over the course of the entire series. Even in the new series they used the Jagrafass in Series 1, and in Old Who they would use other species very often. They just plan to exterminate them later, which I'm guessing everyone was planning to do to each other once the racks were stopped. I'll also post in depth later, my mind is too busy being blown by what happened.

    Major board upgrade

I really like the board upgrade, quite neat and for a lack of a better word; shiny. That said, I miss the days when if I accidentally clicked onto a new page, I could just go back one page and my post would still be there. today i was writing the longest post I've ever done on a friend's fig topic, and I accidentally clicked on the "main page" button instead of a new tab, and when I went back an hour's worth of writing was gone Apart from that though, I really love how updated it is, especially the little tags by the threads detailing some of the content. -Thomas

    Lego: Space - The Comic

I agree, I'm really liking how this one is developing. Awesome to see the twins in the most recent comics KDog,I think its a nice character detail that Friendlich is generally friendly to everyone who he isn't obsessively chasing. I see the net thing came back too Batbrick Away!
  14. So sorry for your loss JCC1004, I too am a huge cat lover and my Smokie passed away a month or so ago at the age of 12: I know what you mean, for a couple of weeks after she died I kept forgetting that she wasn't going to walk through my open window at night and sleep on the edge of my bed -Thomas

    Avatar: The Last Airbender

Thanks for this post Grievous, you've pretty much summed up a lot of my thoughts when it comes to the film, in a way I couldn't because I'd be too busy unable to spell correctly through my anger and would have to resort to the usual "Argle BARGLE!" Additionally of course is the series huge reliance and basis on traditional Asian cultures which factors enormously into the story. The world of Avatar is not just a fantasy world where changing the race of the actors doesn't amtter because "it's still just fantasy", it is so steeped in Asian culture, mythology, practices and language that its only a step away from having "the entire cast of Slumdog Millionare be white" level of ridiculous. Agreed, I cannot wait for the next series, the original was amazing and I'm so glad I got the box sets for my birthday. And yeah, it doesn't help the film that the distinct bending techniques have been replaced by "random Hollywood waving hands motion" and that the writing which was in Chinese for the series being replaced by, and I quote, "New made-up symbols". A Very Angry Batbrick Away!

    REVIEW: Creator 5868 Ferocious Creatures

Fantastic review as always TheBrickster, good to see you around again (Or the reverse, I've been a bit lazy recently ) I'm quite interested in this set now, I adore green pieces especially in such a variety and the giant croc is vary good model. While I too prefer minifig scale designs I love Creator sets, and am quite sad to have missed that dragon one from a few years back. If this comes 20% off there's a good chance I'll buy it. Oh, and the Cavemen commentary was very amusing, as well as not gettingi n the way of the review and pictures which was good. I chuckled when I saw the "His stomach has tasted my clan" caption. Batbrick Away!
  17. Batbrick

    MOC: The Maniacal Duplord

Ingenious design there Optimus-Convoy, I'll never doubt the use of Duplo for mocs again! The little normal Lego details certainly help it from looking too blocky. Batbrick Away!
  18. Batbrick

    Opthalmos Sensor Droid

Very effective design and use of another's concept there Primus, the cleanness of the build and colour scheme really sell the look. One of my favourite robot mocs I've seen recently. Batbrick Away!
  19. Batbrick

    Assault Squad

Great little Assault Squad there Kcebcire! I love the combination of the Imperial torso and Power Miners helmet, really effective. The Sergeant communication jamming device is very cool too, though I was hoping for a few more obvious details to tell him apart from the rest. Still, very neat looking and makes me wish I had gotten that powerminers helmet. Batbrick Away!
  20. Thanks for the review Jjsthekid! Parts of this set are very well made, and other parts for me look completely out-of-place, specifically the technic launcher on the back of the truck. Still, the figs are great, and the parts selection and diversity of colours is really appealing. I definitely won't be getting the set, but this theme has quite surprised me with its quality. Batbrick Away!

    Poison Ivy's Gotham Park

Thanks again for your comments everyone, I love you all! Thanks, I'm glad that while they are kind of out-of-place, people seem to like the Manbats, much better than my last enormous technic design. I agree JCC1004, half the reason I build these things is to keep Batman relevant here I'm glad you like all the details I threw in, I was afraid they wouldn't work but thank goodness they did. Thanks timestamp, I'm glad you like my other Batman creations. I'm hoping my Batcave doesn't disappoint you then. Its quite big (but not too big since it has to fit in a small shelf) and its going to be crammed with details and areas. Thanks a heap for the Dave Kaleta recommendation, I looked at his folders and my jaw dropped ten feet! I disagree with some of the decisions he made, but overall I got a lot of inspiration on how to do my last wing on the Batcave, including the Trophy exhibit. Thanks again for that! Appreciated greatly The Eye (awesome username by the by), and glad you like my custom figs. And I agree, I didn't notice it when I made it, but the plant does look like Audrey II from Little Shop of Horrors! Batbrick Away!

    MOC: Cathedral

Wow! This is amazing for your first Castle creation WowPlayer, and made entirely from your sets as well? Brilliant. I love the diversity of the colours, and the outside of the building has a great scheme of simplicity, and not adding too much detail where there doesn't need to be such as on the roof, a problem I always fall for. The interior is great too, though not quite as good, but I love the pews, and the chandeliers even more so Batbrick Away!
  23. Batbrick

MOC: Lightning McQueen from Cars movie

Very cool AllanSmith! You've certainly captured Lightning McQueen's look very effectively, though I'm not sure on the mouth. Because the truck was so much bigger the deepness of the mouth worked fine, but here it looks a little more like he's pulling a face. Still, that's my only criticism, and its a bit of a minor one, the rest looks fantastic. And I don't care about the bluetac eyes since I did the same thing to get the "talking" lights on my Daleks. Batbrick Away!
  24. Batbrick

    batman vs. Spiderman

Well there's no way anyone's gonna beat blhc11's post, so I'll just say that I'm really glad I got all the sets. It's quite unfortunate that the prices even for the figs are ridiculously expensive, but I've just chalked it up to the diversity of the sets over Spiderman's, coupled with not being tied to the films, the addition of a game and not having produced as much sets. They still have the license though don't they? Batbrick Away!

    Avatar: The Last Airbender

A new series is already in production, little else is known bar the current title: Avatar: The Legend of Korra. Look it up if you wish, but nothing else is known. Batbrick Away!
