Are actual battle packs (mando and sith) retiring at the end of this year?

I am waiting for Rune Haako minifig since 1999 and they still didnt make him in LEGO form(32 minutes screen time),they can also do screen accurate Nute Gunray,re-release Padme in dress,or Padme in battle dress. They can do theed palace,lucrehulk,droid landing craft and MTT,Naboo Starfighter,Sith infiltrator for sets we already have,something like ucs sith infiltrator would be pretty cool. I understand what you are saying,but what i dont understand is why you guys/girls keep saying this is a new style and you get a bunch of minifigures in the sets now,very good minifigure count etc. Sets are getting progressively smaller for years,there is nothing new about it,2000 aat vs 2015 aat,2009 aat vs 2020 aat,republic tank,2007 mtt vs 2014 mtt. Good minifigure counts? 2020 AAT 40$ 4 figures 2021 Tie fighter 40$ 3 figures. 2021 Imperial shuttle 80$ 3 figures vs grievous starfighter 80$ 3 figures 2020. There is nothing new and there is no new figure counts idek who came up with that. They just AGAIN made sets a little bit smaller,but this time they did it with "iconic ot vehicles" instead of prequel vehicles. Not only there is smaller number of figures in 40$ sets in 2021 vs 2020 sets (tie vs aat),but its also in other sets 4+ xwing vs 2019 4+ xwing,2019 had 1 figure more,30$ 501st set vs 30$ mandalorian set 6 vs 3. Only set we see what you refer to a good minifigure count is xwing,but thats just 1 set 1 anomaly like that 501st set in 2020,that doesnt mean all 30$ sets will come with 6 figures or all 50$ sets will come with 4 and again that argument is beat by at-st raider which again is 50$ set with 4 figures. Sets havent changed,minifigure count didnt change. Literally nothing changed and there is no new minifigure count,its again lego downsizing vehicles like they do every year.

Darth Vader has been in a set every year since 2014. That includes super cheap sets like Darth Vader transformation,Pod Polybag,he was free figure in last years 30$ anniversary set etc. Rotj Luke is literally right now 3$ on bricklink. Not getting those figures is purely on you and you can get them in 1 minute on BL and their availability is a terrible argument concerning shuttle set next year. There is also only 3 minifigs and every non casual fan either has them or can get them super cheap which makes that set a terrible pick up for 80$ and top 3 set worst star wars set minifigure wise. Arm printing is necessary especially with mandalorians and vader that have specific and important shoulder pieces and arm accessories. We are not complaining about arm printing on all figures we are complaining cause LEGO already made those printed arms for 2 sets,1 of which is USA region exclusive and 1 is like you said terrible final duel set that is the same set they already released. That arm printing vader would be a huge draw for the set. Next year is a terrible and weak start except mando and xwing sets and excludes sequel and prequel fans and half ot fans will pass on them cause they have better versions of those sets already. There is also no battle packs so not only army builders are hit,but also children whos parents wont buy them more expensive sets.

Funny that you say LEGO would never do a mistake by switching a lightsaber color while every other set is heavily innacurate with huge mistakes. Starting with Darth Vader who time traveled from Mustafar back to Anakins Jedi Interceptor,AT-RT that is 4 times the size its supposed to be,mustafar obi who traveled the time to fight grievous again,Knights of Ren ship that designers thought is a tank,AAT side guns switched,they literally made entire kylo rens shuttle grey instead of black one year. And i get lot of you hate MandR,but saying he is whiny and childish and then insulting him and making fun of him every chance you get cause you know he is reading the chat and he wont respond to you cause you will most likely play victim afterwards is another level immaturity. And if everyone wants brickheadz of himself you should have voted for kowakian and not jaws.

I am extremely disappointed with Imperial Shuttle figures,most of us thought smaller sets=more minifigures cause of no battle packs just to end up with 2 figures that are already in sets now(bespin duel vader,final duel vader and luke),wrong lightsaber luke and not even arm printing on vader,they didnt even include few stormtroopers or went for endor crew. Nothing to buy except mandalorian set for next half a year is just depressing. Shuttle itself looks good though and would look perfect for my rebels display,but unless it goes on a huge sale and Batman and Harry Potter sets are not that good i will not be getting it. Tie fighter price and size makes it perfect for fleet building and it looks good,but the droid figure inside is meh,i would prefer officer or another stormtrooper to treat it as more expensive battle pack with good vehicle.

Thanks to MandRproductions i discovered there is a vote on LEGO ideas page for Brickhead number 150. We can choose between minecraft,jaws,Star Wars and lilo and stich. When you pick a theme you can vote for a character you want to be made. My jedi mind tricks are a bit rusty,but you definitely want to vote for Jar Jar and Pre Vizsla.

I dont mind new "affordable-scale" sets personally,but i have a problem of them being all OT which excludes half a fan base. And even if you are OT fan and you have ucs imperial shuttle and smaller shuttle Tydirium do you really need to spend 80$ on 3rd,4th of 5th shuttle which is smaller,uglier and bulkier? Also this is like 12th x-wing? And why are they rebooting the sets? All new recent fans either came back to LEGO cause of clone wars ending,mandalorian or little kids that grew up with sequels and there is like 1 set for them to buy from September of 2020 to maybe august of 2021 if that wave even gets a non ot set.

I am certain we will get Imperial Troop Transport/Trexler Marauder ,the way Greef shouts the name of the vehicle indicates that it will be made into toy and Hasbro already had one for previous season of Mandalorian.

Absolutely love the set,day 1 buy unless scalpers pull 2020 AAT on me. Tent looks cool and didnt expect arm printing on a 30$ set,love the speeder too. Only thing thats missing is jet pack,but i think Pre Vizslas or Mauls Mandalorian one would look perfect on him.

For Axe Woves i used Viktor Krum face(Head Dual Sided Male Dark Brown Eyebrows,Cheek Lines,Open Smile/Frown Pattern) with hair from Harry Potter (Black Minifigure, Hair Short Tousled with Side Part) and rest of it is death watch trooper,for bo katan hair you can use Claire Dearing hair (Dark Orange Minifigure,Hair Short,Bob Cut) or Peter Pettigrew hair (Dark Orange Minifigure,Hair Mid-Length Tousled with Center Part),for Bo Katan head you can use range of things like Claire Dearing,April O'Neil,LotR Tauriel,Ginny Weasley,Hermione even Rey head. For armor i used death watch trooper torso,female grey mandalorian arms,pre vizsla legs(you can also use blue mandalorian legs from new bp depending on the budget or even jango fett). I use Bo Katan without helmet,but if you want purist helmet grey female mandalorian is closest i could find and matches her leg and arm color. If LEGO doesnt make her by end of 2021 i will be forced to get non purist helmet from arealight.

I really hope they will make all 3 figures in LEGO,i can make other 2 in purist form,but she has such a specific hairstyle. I agree,he is also very knowledgeable. I managed to catch one of his live streams and he had top knowledge in multiple subjects like history,military vehicles,trains,formula 1 etc. and he was having a conversation with multiple people in chat at the same time,it was pretty cool.

Imho Jangbricks does the best reviews out of every youtuber,most professional and with most information. I am not buying a set before watching his review. He is clear and unbiased,but he doesnt have a personality. Its like watching a robot. He would be best LEGO youtuber if he showed any side of him or connected to fans or other people in LEGO community. Q&A series or vlogs or something. Watching MandRproductions is like watching a friend or a brother,i am invested in more than just a review or video,that connection that i dont have with Jang. I much prefer leaving a video with a life lesson from Brickitect or a laugh from MandR or J2G. There is more to Ryan than some of you can see,when i couldnt find AAT set in Croatia for a month and a half he went out of his way and sent me the set and paid 60$ shipping,he donated sets to a kid whos parents got fired cause of global thingy,etc. He does some bad things like AAT review that created bunch of whiny kids crying for innacuracies in the set,but none of us are perfect either.

AAT is imo best star wars set under 41$ since duel on naboo in 2017,you remove the trooper and make set 30$ it would still sell,if you remove ahsoka and leave trooper for 30$ it would still sell. Probably wouldnt sell as well without both,but who would pass on 25$ AAT to fight your 501st troopers? To discuss innacuracies around AAT,all you need to do is switch side guns,remove 3 pieces from cannon and add reminding line from sticker sheet as middle line. You have a perfect set and you spent 1 minute moding it. Problem here is that MandRproductions hates it,he is well loved by almost everyone in lego community (me included) and he shaped lot of peoples opinion around the set cause everyone cares about his opinion on lego star wars sets,i saw personal good friends saying its the greatest set and they will get 10 of them to this sucks its innacurate after watching the review. I think he is subconsciously trying to paint AAT as worst as possible to make 501st set sell better cause success of that set is his success and i dont blame him its his opinion,but thats where most of complaining came from. Same guys that said cobb is irrelevant and worst star wars character are starting to complain he isnt in the set after Ryan said something. AAT received such a criticism and unfairly harsh treatment that people were measuring it with tape measure and comparing it to actual model to prove its not minifigure accurate which is absolutely absurd and ludicrous,while talking about innacurate at-rt and no one to even ride it in the set is strictly taboo. And even without that we are all lego star wars fans we complain about literally everything cause we are passionate about it.

I disagree there are ton of PT and CW sets that would fly of the shelfs,just make any clone bp and you are literally printing money,example wolf company. Those simple old cw clones made 20000 $ worth of sales just in last 6 months on BL alone(and thats just 1 variant of them). You can see people making thousands by selling custom minifigs and sets cause lego wont make them. Any clone or separatist vehicle would sell like hotcakes example MTT,and if lego has doubts they can just throw in highly wanted figure like rex or cody phase 2,fives etc in 120$ sets. if they cant afford new molds they can re-release old figures or add more details. I can write a 10 page essay for figures solely based on their last 6 month bricklink sales,and lego has this data cause they own the site now. AAT is incredible imo and yeah some people got them for figures,but most people buy sets only for figures,just imagine if razor crest didnt include the child their sales would be cut in half while brickbuilt the child would sell twice as much. Not cause 1 set is better than other but solely cause of 1 figure. Also without ahsoka or her clone set would be 30$ and people would still mass buy it. I disagree with your definition of large price point cause jango fett slave 1 would cost only around 70$-120$ which is 1/8 of actually large price point sets like 800$ star destroyer,most of PT fans are in mid 20ies +/- 8 years,they have their own jobs and money now to buy those sets. And yeah you dont need multiple jango slave 1,but that argument makes no sense cause you dont need multiple boba fett slave 1 and i am sure it would be sold the same or better. I am pretty sure more people would buy 120$ gunship/ and multiple of it than 120$ AT-AT thats on sale now. I wouldnt call them background vehicles from PT,we have 0 lucrehulks that appeared in 4 movies and 12+ episodes of 2008 cw with 0 sets and we dont know if it would sell well cause they arent giving us a chance,they made horrible ucs set back in 2010 of obi wans starfighter that should not be in ucs form in the first place,and didnt even include a figure,it flopped and they gave up on us. And you are calling at-ap significant clone vehicle,it is so unsignificant they didnt even care to put it in any of the clone wars episodes,and was basically irrelevant in movies.

Okay i agree ,you both bring up good points. They did give us a pretty good number of sets this year and we showed them that even though they are innacurate and oversized we can still dominate the market and AAT + 501st sets are flying of the shelfs like no lego sets ever before in history of their company with most fans mass buying both sets and then you look at next year and as someone who lives and breathes prequels and loves rogue1,rebels,mandalorian,solo movie,both cw series and cw movie there is literally nothing to buy except 1 x 30$ set till probably september of 2021. PT is still ignored in many aspects from not getting ucs sets for 10 years and 0 non droid figures in advent calendars for past 7 years to 0 brickheadz,helmets,action battle,4+ sets etc. You have lego in 2019 on actual 20th anniversary of TPM giving away 2 anniversary promos from OT,and making 6 collectable 20th anniversary figures which were also all OT,and just year later on ESB anniversary all of the sudden they celebrate movie anniversaries,they go above and beyond,they even print 40th anniversary on boxes,while we are supposed to be happy with crumbs and 5 sets out 60 being prequel.

It is kinda unfair to say that with the situation here,people wanted beskar mando for a year and complained into oblivion cause he isnt in razor crest and now they dont want it in 30$ set cause some random character in a filler episode isnt included. Same with thousands of people that waited for ucs batwing to just give up on it cause they didnt like joker minifig etc. Minifigures make and break the set for lot of people,thats why i dont want to pay 300$ for a set that includes only 2 figures of which 1 is meme pushed by trolls on reddit with no intentions of buying the set. Especially when its yellow headed and doesnt look good displayed with tan,black and nougat figures and stands out and looks off and outdated.
