So, this is my mod based on the pictures from @Kozikyo86 I have to say that the mods to this set were easy to make and as always the only difficulty was parts. I had to take apart a good number of sets, mainly for smooth tiles. However, In my opinion it was totally worth it. First off, the head, Here i just added some parts to smooth out the jaw and the front end. I also replaced the black window with red, I am not sure why Lego went with black, red looks much more menacing for a robot dog. I also changed the canopy and increased the size as per the mod. Next, the legs, again this follows the moc, this was just a case of adding smooth tile pieces and added a few extra parts to the top of the leg to create a more bulky outline. In addition i added a few plates on the inside of the legs, to bring the depth closer to the technic beams. I tried to bring these totally level but it looked too bulky. I also tried making using 2 stud wide smooth tiles to totally cover the legs, again, this looked too bulky. Next up, the sides of the AT AT. This was an area where plates were in short supply so I had to use what I could find. I followed as closely as I could and made sure that any studs showing looked like they were purposfully placed. I still think the panel over the front leg needs adjusting slightly. I also added some small pieces on the leg joints. These look great from a distance and are easy to remove, i think they add a little extra interest. Bottoms of the legs, I added some smooth quarter pieces on top of the round circles. I also increased the height of these by one extra plate. On the (real) thing these parts are really high. I also echoed some of the detail on the outide of the legs onto the inside sections. All in all, I am very happy with the final result and I think it looks great on display with my other star wars stuff.

Thank you for your kind words Of all the Lego sets I have this one is the one I really wanted to look great. As a kid I always wanted an AT AT but I never got one. Well, at the ripe old age of );£& I finally get one to fulfil my childhood dreams.

I changed the head slightly to get it more accurate to At At in universe.

@Kozikyo86 I have always wanted a great looking AT AT. I bought the set a few days ago and started to gather parts to mod it. I have taken apart and stole so many bits from other sets. But now I have a mod very similar to the one here. So much so that I have used brick link for the first time as I am short of around 20 parts needed. I haven’t made all the changes but it’s close. I will share some pics of the real life version once I get the bits. Many thanks for your hard work on this.- 13 replies

Wow. I haven’t been here for a while. In terms of bits, this is a complete guess. I would say around 100-150. Mostly plates in all honesty. @macaron35

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 20. Rumors and discussion

Perhaps they will re release all the most popular/rare figures from the past series's of minifigures as a set. Hopefully it will be a streetfighter 2 themed series. That's what i would like, imagine how cool those would be -

For about 7 or 8 series there has only been one rare figure and that as that sailor. As a figure it was pretty lame. -

I thought there was a teaser on the Lego Facebook showing a Lambo in silhouette. Does that not count as a teaser. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 20. Rumors and discussion
Bigdwazda replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I used to love these minifigure series, however, the cost of them now is way too high. In the UK they are £3.50 per figure which is crazy. As a blind bag that is way too expensive. I find the designs to have taken a turn for the worse, there are perhaps 2 or 3 in each series that stand out, i normally feel these out and have done with it. In terms of rarity, these figures are worth nothing. At least from series 14 or 15 on wards. Like many i purchased them hoping they would be of some retail value in the future. To this point most are worth less than the purchase price. Bad times indeed. -
There is a solution to everything. Its not one for me but you can definitely see the mandible and engine mods.

So over 4 years since this set was released, its clear I'm a little late to the First Order transporter (75103) modding party. This set had been firmly forgotten and relegated to my loft in pieces. I watched the newest film and what turns up but this ship in an epic (but weird) Force tug of war . Instead of being sad about Chewies demise, the only thing I could think was "I have that set" somewhere, and so it began! I took the bricks from the box, thankfully a lot of the work was already done. I built it up and thought "its a bit stumpy" but still cool. I had recently modded the 75257 falcon Here and my modding skills??!!! were itching for a new challenge. I reviewed a few pics here and decided that the extension mod shouldn't be too tricky. I decided to go it alone and used the picture below as the look to get. The issue I have is my Lego bits collection is somewhat small so I have to make do with what I have on hand at the time. What you see here is literally cobbled together with best fit parts (I'm sure I'm not alone with his issue), most of which come from a 75105 millennium falcon. Needless to say my version looks very similar to the mods on here. I think this is likely as its so easy to extend. I have made a few more changes that I haven't seen on other mods (perhaps there is a reason why!) So first off there is the obligatory stock vs modded shot. I extended mine by 6 studs at the front and 2 (4 if you count the engine extension) at the rear. I wanted to do a couple more at the front but didn't have the bits. As you can its longer and less studded, I wanted only a few on show so covered the rest. In a perfect would have liked to remove the large curved parts and use flat tiles with the 4 studs, however, I don't have these parts. Stock Mod and for fun the real thing Next I removed most of the studs from the top of the ship, while this isn't 100% accurate I do think it looks nice with the line going from the front to the back. I also recessed the dark diamond shape into the hull of the craft. I changed the light on the front for a more curved design. Next the back of the craft, perhaps the hardest bit to do with my limited parts. The top is fairly accurate but it quickly descended into best fit to cover. With that said it still looks much better than the Technic bars. I also extended the engines out and made them sit closer together. Internally i just copied the existing design and have room for 8 easily and perhaps 10 if i squash them in. To be honest I am not really concerned about the interior but the kids love the extra space. I think i have pretty much ended up with almost the exact same mods as all others but I thought I would share as this set is a really fun and easy set to mod. I know it’s old but take a look and perhaps make it the next mod you make. I almost like this thing more than my nearly finished UCS millennium falcon. Perhaps I like it because it based on a real vehicle used in WW2. The LCM3 (landing craft mechanised) Finally here is it with my collection of other stuff. It scales well against my (now finished) Falcon . Man that thing is big.

Ok. I finished the massive build and now have a huge paper weight to store in my Lego room The engine mod was a bit of waste of time as I will never see it . The lights will also never be seen again It looks totally epic in person and I’m glad I have it in my collection. That said my favourite set is still my modded 75103 First Order Transporter. A very odd choice I know. Also a big apology to all those offended by overuse of emojis.

@ScottishDave sorry I just thought this was a general mod thread like the ones for the falcon. My apologies ?. I will delete this and make my own. -

Moved post to my own thread. All is now balanced in the force ? -
The more I build of the falcon the more I like the unmodified look. I was considering the changing the escape pod hatches but the stock ones look great even if they are slightly inaccurate. The way I will mount the falcon will mean I will never see the gap in the mandibles and interiors aren’t important to me. The only mod I would consider is the one I think is beyond my modding skill. I would love to extend the engine covers out. I did it on my 75257 set and I think it looks great. By comparison I think it’s the weakest area of the UCS model. It by no means look bad but the mock by Marshall banana shows how good this area can look. I love looking through the forums for mods people do and I am staggered by how good some mods look. The way people make Lego work for what they want to build is insane.

@Trekrider like me your modding as you go. You’re modding more than me. one thing I found is that the engine mod looks better with some of the 1x2 plates removed from the top and bottom. I also replaced 2 of the longer poles with shorter ones. Now mine only has extra plates and longer poles on the very middle section. Small thing but looks better to me. I can only assume it was designed how it is to take into account the raised bit in the middle.

@macaron35 HI There, I didn't bother cutting it, i threaded it through one way and then the other and it fits perfectly. The only thing i did do was to cover some of the LED's with blue tack that weren't in the engine bay. Its not a necessity to cover these but it does stop any unwanted lights showing through. Still haven’t finished building it yet. 5 sets of bags to go still.

@waden34 I actually think the tubes look great but i do prefer the engine mod. What i would say is that the engine mod is easy to retrofit at any stage of the build. Personally i would continue building but its your choice, i appreciate we are all different and that's just fine. also, what do you think of my small person mod. I attached him with a few Technic pins and some spare 2x4 plates. It may be a stronger connection if he was a bit older and had acne. I'm pretty sure using spots to attach the 2x4 would help a bit.

@macaron35 yes that is the cheap lights I advised you to get. the battery box fits on the right hand side interior that is empty. I then put some grease proof paper in to diffuse the light. On the bottom photo you can see how the wire is pushed through the frame.
-
So totally ignoring the above I am modding as I go along ?. That said they are minor things. So I have straightened the panel under the engine. Used the @ClassicLook engine bank. I’m not sure I will mod anything else. I’m not an interior person so interior mods for me. I was thinking of modding the 2 escape hatches. However while more accurate I think I prefer the inaccurate look. I’m about to start bag 11. for reference the below uses the cheap led strip lights and some grease proof paper to diffuse the light.
