  1. Marge looks like she uses the same large sphere/hemisphere used for the technic solar system for Earth. The feet are bricks (1x1 tiles for shoes, action posing stem part as a leg) and arms might be Hagrid’s. It’s very strange to use a 2x2 dome brick as a head. I hope the set includes a regular Marge minifigure which we have not seen yet, the gimmick might be the regular minifigure fits inside the inflated body. some other things: ripper is a repeat of existing bulldog colour, sticker on the front door with letters stuffed in the letterbox and bars on Harry’s window show that like the previous it’s got references to the other movies
  2. I think minifigures of human characters from the show is perfectly viable, and a CMF would satisfy the need for new hair/hat moulds and small Pokemon animals, a CMF series of 12 would really capture attention and launch the theme with a bang. It is far too early but I could not resist coming up with a wishlist, totally unrealistic with a new mould for every pokemon animal accessory: Ash (no hat, green shirt) + Pickachu Misty + Togepi or Staryu Brock + Zubat (Geodude could be made with existing parts in a set or Mario style series) Professor Oak + Charmander Tracey Sketchit + Marill Garry Oak + Squirtle Jessie + Ekans James + Koffing Giovanni + Meowth Nurse Joy + Bulbasaur Officer Jenny + Growlathe Ash (Red hat, blue vest) + pokedex, Caterpie Every character also coming with a common new pokeball (dual moulded for easy and quality recolouring) in different colours (it’s the wizard wand of the theme). I would hope they do not force every biped pokemon character to be a ‘minifigure’ like what they did with Tweety and RoadRunner in LoonyTunes, it might work for some (machop, Hitmonchan, Mr Mime etc) but not others I can expect they would try it with (Meowth, Squirtle)
  3. Iv not played the game Hogwarts Legacy but I’ve taken a great interest in it’s architecture and layout from watching YouTube tours, I’m warming up to it being my personal definitive version of the castle, I love what they have done with the common rooms and how they got the hospital wing and headmaster’s office to fit etc, it all just works! I wonder how different or similar the show version will be, at least starting fresh we shouldn’t have any modifying as the series goes on.
  4. The silhouette in the instructions suggests that only the parts of the castle from the UCS set will be included, going by the usual 3 year plan we could expect 3 big sections: Great Hall, Staircase Tower, Viaduct Entrance Building. That would indicate the layout you suggested. That being said the Owlery and flying lesson building and upcoming greenhouse sets were not in the preview so we have no way of knowing for sure what else could be included.
  5. Couple of things i could see being a UCS set, at least ones I would be happy to see in production: Gryffindor Tower/ Common Room. The film set done 1:1 like the Friends apartment’s, every seat, table, fireplace, window etc in its place. includes predictable figs such as the trio and NHN, plus a few figures we don’t have or are underrepresented such as Y4/5 Seamus Finnigan , long legs Lee Jordan, Lavender Brown in robes etc Or A UCS Battle of Hoth style Hogsmeade Village, including the clock building from the theme park, Hogs Head, Zonko’s, the music shop, a Honeydukes twice the size of the first one etc. A highland cow, sleigh, red Butterbeer cart, multiple benches, multiple lampposts. Sadly it makes the Hogsmeade Advent Calendar redundant but there could be also lots of other variants for others such as Neville, new Hagrid coat, Crabbe etc or Astronomy Courtyard: basically the entire long Gallery, Bell Towers, Training Grounds Tower, Astronomy Tower all together in one in system scale in the same scale and detail and compatible with the new 2025 ‘most detailed’ castle system. Interior includes the library, Room of Requirement from HBP, Separate Slughorn & Snape office, boys bathroom, the vanishing cabinet, scenes from different movies in different rooms perhaps.
  6. I was at the event brick-tastic this Saturday in Manchester, There was some guys from the Pick-a-brick team on the same table as New-Elementary (seems like they are friends/connected), they had some of the upcoming parts on display such as the dumpling and snake hat, it was great to have a chance to speak to them. They had a showcase on a laptop of the new interface where parts in a variety of colours will be reduced down to one entry where you click on the colour in a small pop up window etc. i mentioned the problem of scratched windows/windshields etc when bagged with sharp bricks and they are aware of it and suggested everyone keep reporting the issue as the incidents gets logged and the more logs there are the more likely they will address the problem.
  7. If people are interested I can make a castle floor plan for the entire complex, could serve as a guide for anyone’s else’s MOC’s? I’m not going to buy the new System as i have been collecting from the start so it won’t integrate with the new sets. It would be based on modular 8x8, 8x16, 16x16 plates as used on the 2018-2023 systems.
  8. I can’t understand how the Duelling club is more expensive than the charms class, looking at them that makes no sense, there must be something disproportionate about the cost of the rubber cape and the printed tiles vs sticker sheet etc
  9. I would love this if nothing else for another iteration of much needed MG Dumbledore! They missed a trick not having a black recolour of the wand pack with the Malfoy Manor set, it would have suited very well with almost half the wands being used for characters. That and also forgetting the important mirror shard Harry carries, otherwise a very well done location set.
  10. I think they could recolour the existing one in black for her outfit she wears around the castle and in the Great Hall, the hat is a similar shape and we just have to ignore the earmuffs
  11. I think the CMF tops out for me: Less saturated colour for the coat/body neutral face expression vs the angry scowl from the book set unique duel-moulded flask/maraca is nicer than the simple black part
  12. I like the dimensions of the front of the Mannor, they got the outline done well and it’s packed with details like the railings, snake heads etc, loads of windows. Minifigure count is good but I 2nd the disappointment in absence of DH Ron for 2nd time, the posable legs for all figures is likely to have them all sit around a long table. The peackoks, fountain and statue are nice additions One odd thing is the absence of wands, I see only 2 black ones in the image and then the white one. This would have been the ideal set to include a black recolour of the wand pack from Olivandar’s this year
  13. Lego bricks and pieces has had an update with new parts, of note: Fat Fryer grey hair, troll blue arms and hands and Professor Vector hat/hair from The Great Hall set Mini owl number 22 From friends Gold and trans orange unprinted mini dragons from Ninjago Brown Hair, Igor’s torso print and Krum’s torso print also surprisingly from the Durmstrang Ship The new potion bottles and bubbles from the Potions class (very expensive though)
  14. U.K. collector here, I was pleased to find the series in my local WH Smith/Toys R Us. I grabbed 5 randoms for the first dive and got a Dragonborn, Tiefling, Aarakocra and a duplicate two witches! Looking at the prices on eBay and discussion here looks I was lucky getting the knight figure without scanning. Mu goal is to get a complete series and 2 mindflayers i hope I he series sells well and they renew for a 2nd, what’s your wish lists for a CMF series 2? I hope for another Dragonbone in a different colour and class, a centaur (they need to reuse that mould in more colours). I’m not that familiar with DnD characters and lore
  15. The new singer ghost in the AC on its own is amazing, 3 new prints and a recolour of an uncommon part is exceptional! And it’s not even a named character! , I wish we could get Lockhart, Slughorn and other teacher variants this way with this much detail, it makes up somewhat for no CMF#3.
  16. In the blurry photo I can identify two pigs I think and what is I’m sure a new dark grey flying owl (an official Errol), it’s on the right side posed on the new Marvel heroes curved posing rod/bar. The yellow thing in the hand of one of the figures on the left might be a rubber duck.
  17. I see some rumours that the diagon alley shops might be micro scale, is there anything to back this up? Personally I’m hoping to expand on the recent two shops sets and carry on at the same price a couple more times. 200 for system scale is rather high for me but if it’s got about 6 shops in it and lots of great figures, without repeating WWW or Olivanders then I might go for it.
  18. I hope the Flitwick in the Charms class has the Dwalin beard again and not the cheap Santa beard like the Advent Calendar Unrelated to the discussion but this weekend I have finally opened and built my copy of 12 Grimmauld Place, I enjoy the model and the minifigure selection is great with lots of exclusive prints, and of course Kreacher! I just noticed that the back of the box depicts two printed news paper tiles but the set only has one, oops Lego! I wish they had done a tie-in Advent calendar for it, it’s a bit late now to do one but I’m still hopeful we could get a OotP calendar. Ideally containing: Aphelios Doge Sirius Black (ministry battle suit) Death Eater (repeat from the Gringotts set) Kreacher repeated to give a chance for families who can’t afford the big set. Arthur Weasley with a bandage etc Ron with an existing dog mould cast in trans glitter for his patronus Another kitchen unit to fit in the empty space around the table, Christmas decorations, toy Santa etc
