It’s a lovely owl 😊, it can be either the original Saw-whet owl (American) but also works for a European Tawny Owl , and it could be recoloured to several other small small owl species.

Thanks, was going to say this. Could be located behind the viaduct entrance building/where the hospital wing is on the new ‘official layout’. The exterior could also be a full blown Astronomy tower but the interior and figures are all DaDA. ‘Tower’ is better than ‘classroom’ in this instance because in my idea it’s 3 rooms stacked: classroom & wardrobe, Lupin’s office, candle room with bogart box etc for example. The theme overlaps with the patronus build set a lot but then they could add in a new ghost or professor Vector to make it a must have for everyone Speaking about inflation, I have to say that the builds in this years AC are very thin on parts, most of them only 7-9 parts each. Great new prints although I would have swapped the wanted poster for a Hog’s Head signpost. I’m very pleased with the subject matter and the absence of micro builds is a big plus, this format is what HP calendars should be 👍

Ok I got an idea, how about they follow on from the small Dobby building figure and do a small wave of smallish beast builds with figures (same price as the banners), similar to those magical beasts Noble collection statues on the market. ‘Magical Beasts’ wave 1: Life size Pixie (with gold robes Lockheart from the lesson, plus Neville with new face expressions and pixie figure). Build includes a display base with a transparent stand to make it look like it’s flying. Mandrake in a pot (with a new Sprout: black dress from CS scenes inside the castle or her DH appearance and Hermione using the Hidden side hair with earmuffs recoloured wearing tan overalls). The mandrake face is printed on a half cylinder like Grawp/MODOK. Looks like a fat potted baby groot with leaves. Grindylow (tentacles are the existing olive green parts used for the Dr Strange set etc). Figures are Fleur and Cedric in lake task outfits posed on a stand to look like they are swimming plus grindylow figure. Norbert the dragon: no paper wings here instead it’s all bricks and plates like a creator set. Might use a recolour of the dragon head from Gringotts. Figures are Hagrid (new print with an apron and mittens are printed D tiles) and Ron (cardigan) new Minifigure scale Norbert mould included. Base stand features broken egg fragments. Wave 2: Nifler & young Newt and Dumbledore from the flashbacks, Aragog in a trunk with student Hagrid & Tom Riddle (black & white figures), Bowtruckle?

They have enough prints etc available to do a good Death Eater character pack, I can imagine/wish for: Bellatrix & Fenrir (same as the Burrow), plus the Death Eater from Gringotts, then finally Lucius Malfoy. Side build is some prophecy shelves etc. The new print budget for the pack spent on a new torso for Lucius (for the department of Mystery’s battle), and a new head for him with a mask on the reverse.

The design of the UI Dragon in this set looks so much like a system mass release model for play, it looks very robust and well made in terms of structural strength and articulation but at the sacrifice of looking a bit robotic, I relay wish this model was in a smaller retail set for most kids (and myself) to have a chance of having it. I hope like WWW there is a cheaper remake (perhaps the underground section on its own) in a year or two to make these scenes more accessible for those of us who can’t afford a £370 set Also we need that Death Eater in the next Advent Calendar 😁

yes! My figure wishlist is: Krum, Karkaroff (new hat/hair mould), Karkaroff’ assistant/student, Flur & Cedric (lake task), merperson, Dumbledore and Barty Crouch Sr. And if there is budget a manakin for Krum’s quidditch outfit in his room. To make some of the figures make sense on the boxart there is a little side build of a small wooden jettty for the ‘welcome’ party to stand on and wave on the ship’s arrival. swimming characters just put In the lake beneath the ship

I hope for a Durmstrang ship very much, i think it’s on the top of my wanted list. I can imagine it at the same price as the Burrow and could look fantastic. I wonder if they delayed putting one on the market due to there being other ‘pirate ships’ about at the same time (Bowser’s airship, the Ideas Pirate Bay, the creator 3 in 1). I would be very satisfied with one which used the same hull parts as Bowser’s ship, i think that’s a great scale for playability and detail

I can definitely imagine more Hogwarts modules added to the castle, the front silhouette is ‘done’ but it does cheat a bit by repurposeing the clock tower module as the Astronomy Tower for example. There is capacity to add more ‘behind’ the present castle as shown combined in the new wave. Bell Towers, a new Astronomy Tower for the new modular system, another courtyard set, some other 2x1 room modules to fill out the Astronomy Courtyard rear sides etc, the Owlry Changing the subject I recently got myself the room of requirement set, I’m so pleased with it with the Minifigure selection and the pixie, I’m definitely going to expand it to store all the extra furniture and presents etc from the Advent Calendars. I’m also planning to get a couple of those orange wings on B&P to turn the fire snake into a dragon

Big shame it wasn’t popular, I thought the animal models are beautiful, especially with the moulded heads, I have not built the biggest set yet but looking forward to it

Looks so much better! I’ll have to order the hair from B&P when it becomes available.

If the theme is short lived it might be worth picking up a few sets with good condition boxes as investment, after a few years they will probably go high online especially when the last film of the series comes out

Very good list 👍 I have been saying Mondungus should be in a DA set for ages I would only swap the Snatcher for the Head Goblin as seen in PS, perhaps with a new mould for a bald head with more pointy ears. I appreciate this set was many peoples wish but I don’t like how it puts the dragon behind such a huge paywall, it’s not fair for most children who want to play out the action scenes. Plus a lot of bricks will have to be used to make the cave foundations/pillars strong enough to support the building on top. I’m sure it will look awesome nonetheless Also it’s not impossible that they might revisit the dragon/vault in a smaller set later on similar to how they remade WWW at a more affordable price

I’m quite sure now that the Polybag of the micro quidditch pitch is a spin-off or intended to be complimentary to the micro Hogwarts. I think it’s in scale

That architect figure is amazing, incredible they made a new beard mould for it. I wasn’t tempted before but might get the set on sale for that. I’m surprised he doesn’t have a little stand or podium however I’m really pleased with how the AC is turning out, finally back to system scale models! The printed signpost for ‘Hogwarts’ is great to have, only ting more I wish for from this set now is a printed Hogs Head pub signpost like the LC from year before last

Maybe blueprints of the X-jet on a 2x4 tile? I wish the series had nightcrawler (never done before and would be a good use of CMF budget) instead of wolverine who is available already in the mech set.
