Last time I checked Hamleys had loads of them for just £20, in store (including at St. Pancras International)

I’m going to say something different and specify some things which I actually prefer were NOT in the $400 DA set: the Ironbelly Dragon, and Lucius Malfoy In his prime CoS appearance. -The dragon sequence would be perfect as it’s own set, with new variants of the trio and a detailed volt. This would free up the cost for more buildings/detailed interiors. -Lucius Malfoy is a favourite for the CMF, and with accessories like his cape and a cane would be ideally suited for that. This frees up a figure spot for a character we might not ever get otherwise (DA I think is the best opportunity for miscellaneous characters from the wider wizarding world outside Hogwarts) (Sorry if that was negative: it should go without saying I’m super excited like everyone and thrilled that Lego has the confidence behind the theme for such big projects as these and look forward to whatever we get :D)

I really hope this is the case, this big set will be for adult collectors who want lots of details, advanced building techniques and more lesser known characters. The bank-heist with the Dragon is a fun action scene most children would want to play out and should therefore be a separate and adorable set :)

I proposed before that a Diagon ally would be the best place to get Mundungus Fletcher. As you say the trio, Hagrid, some Weasleys, dark wizards are likely too. Which ones maybe depends on what ‘age’ the main trio is made as. After that we should get one shop-keeper per shop, maybe 2-3 goblins & Tom the barman?

I’m sure they would! I literally just purchased some of those hair/ear parts to swap on the set as soon as I saw the leak :) It’s a shame that they couldn’t use that mould, it would have been perfect for this, I would have thought that it was generic enough to use freely after the hobbit theme ended. They have even used the uruk-hai sward and Witch king helmet in other licences since :/ I can understand scrapping the goblin king, Azog head and those fancy dwarf beards as they are so specialised and tied to the movie character designs, but now I wonder if we will never see some of those other useful moulds again like the hobbit & Thorin hair

Anyone else find it remarkable how much Lego is avoiding cloth capes with this theme? ...so far the only figures I can recall in this revampwith any cloth capes/skirts etc are in the CMF series, Madam Hooch in the bricktober Pack, the dementors, and the one quidditch set of course. None of the other teachers or figures with regular Hogwarts robes have them, quite a contrast to the original theme. And it’s not like Lego doesn’t do short capes as we had those for the hobbits etc in the LotR series...

I guess if the next movie is pushed back then Lego can freely release this CMF this year as there are no FB figures in it (that we know of), pending its own distribution problems at this time of course. So HP CMF series 3 (fingers crossed) is when we will see FB characters make a return

Maybe the hard plastic disney dress part could work? I’m quite surprised about the choice of hair for the centaurs if that is true, I would have thought LotR orc hair or at least Legolas’s hair would be better as they have the pointy ears. The orc hair also has the bonus of being compatible with a quiver. Otherwise I’m quite happy for them to be identical/generic in design, it’s a dream come true we have any at all :) Maybe to enable variety while keeping cost down they can do what they did with the LotR ghosts and orcs and have the same head with a set of alternative faces

Nice choices ?, but I’m personally hoping that the polyjuice figures are saved for a future castle set with the bathroom and Slytherin common room inside I have posted my 7 before but since we are all doing it all at once: -Hermione, herbology outfit (uses the Hidden-side Hair/earmuffs) - Ron, Quidditch keeper. Has a broom -Rita Skeeter & green quill, notepad -Lucius Malfoy -Aunt Marge & Bulldog (this goes well with the house set) -Firenze the Centaur (helps pay for the figures in the forbidden forest set) -The Grey Lady & Ravenclaw Diadem. (Since she is not rumoured to come with the Astronomy Tower set which apparently has the Ravenclaw Common room)

I’m glad they went for a new part for Kingsley’s hat, rather than use a round tile or something else, the pattern printing all round is excellent! I hope the quality of those horizontal gold bands are as good as the picture

I hope the key isn’t his only accessory, with no wand for goblins it would be a bit of a let down to only have something so common. Im hoping he has a lantern or some gold too

Like others have said Bellatrix and Kingsley I think point to a likely ‘Ministry Battle’ set in the pipeline (likely the cheaper set we have no information on), and that is where we will get a OoTP Sirius and Tonks (purple hair please, as orange is plentiful already).

A Deathly Hallows Ron, Harry or Neville could come with one :) How many of these figures do we think have the new skirt part instead of legs? I’m hoping Dumbledore, Sprout and possibly Bellatrix do

Overall this series looks great and I can’t wait to collect all of them ☺️ By the looks of the fun variations like Luna, Neville and Dumbledore I hope this means that the series will also sell well and there should be a series 3 in another year or so: there is plenty more left they can do for another great series :)

I would respectfully disagree; when I say ‘interesting’ I mean ‘has an exciting new mould’ or ‘has a wanted animal’ or at least ‘is colourful’ Series 1 showed off the Nifler, new snake, and the mandrake on the packet, and the remaining animals were not new/exclusive. This packaging is showing off the Phoenix front and centre, and also the monster book. I would say therefore that the absence of a Pixie, or Fang the Dog or werewolf likely means they are not in this series unfortunately

I’m going to now quickly make my guess for the rest of the figures in this line: Ron Weasley (Quidditch keeper) Hermione Granger, Mandrake & pot (Hidden-side Hair/earmuffs) Cho Chang (Yule ball) Lucius Malfoy & cane. (Sally, Disney CMF Hair) Aunt Marge & Bulldog, purse Firenze the Centaur The Grey Lady & Ravenclaw Diadem Lockheart and other favourites are missing as I think if they were in the series they would be on the bag packaging, so that’s why the rest of these figures are a bit darker/less interesting

It’s the Potions Book from the Half Blood Price, which is exactly what I predicted for the token Harry in the series :)

I agree there are a few things a little off looking, especially the mandrake body being a cylinder :/ But the quality of the rest of it makes it look genuine to me, the layout, the new parts look up to standard, the figure poses and the rendering etc unrelated note notice the absence of FB content, maybe this was the 16 figure HP only draft and they are going to change it in the future to line up with the next film

Wow this thread is going to explode! I count 9 new moulds on display on the cover: -Sprout’s hat& hair, just as we all wanted :D -Kingsley’s hat, looks perfect. -Luna’s Lion headdress, massive and a very fun choice -goblin hair/ears. I expected an entire head like Dobby but this is ok. -Myrtle’s long hair. Looks great too but I guess this means no bathroom set :( -phoenix. Looks amazing with all the colours. But I would have preferred a version which had possible wings so it could be ‘flying’ -Dumbledore’s hat& hair combo, beautiful, blows the great hall version out the water (see also white Gandalf beard finally!) -monster book cover. Looking at the edges it has a new shape, it’s not just a print -Bellatrix’s hair. Is this an update? 10 points to who guessed the Azkaban outfit

I just completed Harry Potter Y1-4 again after many years since my first play :D I had forgotten about some of the unlockable characters...It made me wonder if the theme keeps going strong we could get some of the background Hogwarts staff such as Madam Pince, Professor Sinistra and Professor Vector, I think they would be neat choices to get in a future advent Callander or large castle sections

Nice mod! I’m planning to modify my dragon also, as I’m also unhappy with how ‘bird-like’ it is, and the underwhelming head spikes. i’m very interested to see anyone else’s improved horntails too :D Another build I added to enhance the castle: animal perches for the transforiguration classroom:
