  1. The switch is coming 2023, they're just showing off possible new designs. So series 23 should be fine. But yes, it will change my shopping habbits drastically. We have a webshop here that sells opened minifigs, I assume they will get more traffic. Wonder what the Lego shops will do?

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

According to it's 32 cm, but some of that will be the chimneys, so it's actually not as tall as it looks. Can't wait to see how it looks displayed next to the modulars.

The new Sanctum Santorium will certainly find it's place among the the modulars. Best fit for a non series set yet?

Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion

Hi! New here, usually hang around in the modular and Harry Potter forums but I saw the farm sets and I had to see what everyone is saying about them. I would have preffered a slightly more old fashioned style to the barn and tractor, but I live pretty much all the side builds - and the animals! Now I'm thinking about creating a WWII-era urban farm for my modular city, just need to get a more old fashioned mini scale tractor or truck. Any suggestions? And I actually think the truck is pretty nice, even if it's to modern for me.

    Wizarding World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion

To be honest, I've been low key hoping for a D2C Hogwarts Express since the rebooth. I was hoping for more Diagon Alley this year, I'd be happy for a few more shops to go with Gringotts, and the price does seem a little steep for a train. But having missed out on the last motorised HE as long as it *is* motorised and minifig scale that thing is going up around my Christmas Tree, no question. I still miss the 2018-2020 castle sections, Dumbledors office is alright but not more, but the non castle sets in this wave is nothing short of amazing. Can't believe we got 12 GP, and that it actually folds in.

Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Yeah, we knew about the theme like August first last year. Lego have certainly cracked down on the leaks.

Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion

The Harry Potter Hogsmede set is a candy shop and a pub. Obviously it's not a WV set but considering the similar architecture and snow covered roofs it would surprise me if we got either of those in the WV set this year.

Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Last year we heard i was a club house end of july/beginning of August and got leaked pictures beginning of September. Can't imagine they won't make a proper one this year, holiday stuff sells out the moment it hits the shelves and they know WV is always highly anticipated.

    Harry Potter 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

A question for the Netherlanders on here: is a serious e-tailer, right? I'm here visiting for a couple of weeks and saw they had the Moments sets a lot cheaper than back in Sweden.

Just as people might find police sets confronting and confusing. Why is it always the things a certain group finds offensive that's up for debate? If the stance truly is that Lego should "stay away from politics and controversies", why never follow the principle to it's logical conclusion. No police, no Harry Potter, no Jurasic Park, no female police officers, firemen or doctors, no cars (fuel and enviromental concerns), no Christmas. But somehow it's always the LGBTQIA+ sets that cross the line in to "just too political". China have a whole series of sets catering especially to them, so I don't think they feel too forgotten.

Well, this is what Lego themselves have to say about it.

“Growing up as an LGBTQ+ kid – being told what I should play with, how I should walk, how I should talk, what I should wear – the message I always got was that somehow I was ‘wrong’,” he said. “Trying to be someone I wasn’t was exhausting. I wish, as a kid, I had looked at the world and thought: ‘This is going to be OK, there’s a place for me’. I wish I’d seen an inclusive statement that said ‘everyone is awesome’.” This is Legos stance. You can think what you want about it, but it's definitely canon now.

While it's not neccesarily NOT inclusive, fact is every single set that includes a wedding couple, a couple in general or a family shows a heterosexual relationship. Representation matters, and it's easy to forget that when you are a part of the majority because your life is already mirrored everywhere around you. And Lego doesn't "need" to do anything. They do want they want, and what they think makes sense from a business perspective. Lego doesn't owe the LGBT+ community, with or without this set. But it doesn't owe you to stick to your interpretation of their principles either. If you don't like the set, don't get it. If enough people agree with you there won't be anymore. And calling a rainbow family set or two and a few pride sets "pandoras box" is a bit rich.
