Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

As for the over abundence of police stations in the city line: I don't know about you guys but I want a 30/40s vibe to my city and absolutely none of the city line police stations/fire stations/hospitals would ever work. I want, and hope for, a police station in style of the Fire Brigade, a distinct throwback. No panorama windows, no heli pads, no radio mast. Give me a old fashioned gothic facad, wood paneling, a bullpen, typ writers and a cell or two any day.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

I hope so, I've been wanting a police station for ages. Certainly didn't think it would be this year, thought... If this is true, and they make a museum for the anniversary next year (?), all my wishes for this series will pretty much have come through - nice restaurant, book shop, police station and art. Then I only need to figure out if I should try to get my hands on the fire brigade, or if a moded winter village fire station will have to do...

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

To each their own, but I've never really gotten the 'realistic living condition' thing. I'd much rather have a terrarium or a cute armchair than a toilet. I mean, if it was real they'd obviously need one, but they'd also need a shower, a fridge and a closet. It's Lego, there is quite a lot dispension of disbelief involved.
  4. Love them both! The bonsai is going to look great on my desk (if we're ever allowed to return to the office), a discreet but cute touch of Lego. And the technique used for the flowers looks like it's something else. So creative, and the colours are great.

    Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion

Oh, I like those a lot more than I was expecting. Love the colours, and patterns. The herbology classroom in particular is amazing. And looks like fairly good value for the money. Edit: Pictures up on the site now, too. Maybe slightly less value for money in Sweden, to be honest. This theme is killing me...

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Saw this and just ordered the Temple Fair set from this year. Should take too much moding to make a little China Town area with those two. I hope we get more green spaces eventually, love how it will break up the space and make it more alive. Then again, the modulars are pretty old fashioned too.

Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion

The bag wasn't sealed? I get my minifigs from a reputable seller, but the ID'd ones they open and put in a ziplock bag to make sure you get the right one. So it is done, but not straight from Lego.

    Lego a Christmas Carol

Well, there was the H.C. Andersen sets, which I think sold pretty well. So if this does well too - and I can't imagine it won't - hopefully we'll se a lot more. I love the idea of having a few sets like it scattered around my bookshelves, and it would be lovely in a childs bedroom, or classrooms.

    Lego a Christmas Carol

Just saw the picture on IG, very surprised but i looks like a lovely set. Wonderful fireplace, and more books and book themed builds are always a good thing in my opinion. We're sure getting a lot of holiday cheer from Lego this year. Probably exactly what 2020 needs, thought.

Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion

I actually like it way more than I thought I would, considering the subject matter. The elves will probably have to go, but the house itself is quite nice, I like the coloulor choices and the new (?) string light design. And the sled and reindeer will be perfect for a "meet santa" set up at the Christmas market.

    Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion

Modulars are what got me in to Lego again as an adult, I usually get one every christmas from my fiancé. The revival of Harry Potter is what really got me in to forums and leaks, thought. Other than those two i get most Winter Village sets, the occational ideas one and I'm definitely getting the Andy Warhol art set. My brother collects the architect line so I get to play around with those set at his place. I guess I like detailed, sort of old fashioned buildings and creating city (and caste) scenes. So you can imagine how exited I am for DA...

LEGO Art - Rumours and Discussion

I've been a fan of Warhol for even longer than I've been in to Lego, so this has my name written all over. And the popcultural, repetative themes of Warhol really lends itself to the LEGO astetics. I do think it works as a stand alone, the artwork is so iconic and he did print several single frame pieces as well. That said I'm probably going to end up getting all four anyway... Love the van Gogh idea, @tafkatb. Agree that it would make an amazing motive.

So, what are Leaf, IP-2 and Zebra?

These are gorgeous, love the Warhol one. Thought my wallet is weeping...

    Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion

Was looking for a gift for a friends kid and saw the new Batman Duplo sets, which looks awesome. With DC this year and Jurasic Park last, do you think we'll ever see Harry Potter Duplo? A lot of us that grew up with the books are becoming parents right about now, and considering how nostalgic my generation is there should be a market.

    Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion

Picked up AT and room of reqirement at the local toy shop today! Both look amazing. Guess I know what I'll be doing tomorrow... Also, hi! Been lurking for almost two years (which is about when I came out of my dark ages) but don't think I've posted before. Thank you all for making the wait for new sets so much more enjoyable!
