Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Paul van Nuil replied to Gearslover01's topic in LEGO Town
A lot of people want a church (never gonna happen by LEGO self) or a city/townhall. There are plenty of them on Rebrickable. As for me, I only bought one of the original LEGO sets they issued the last four years, being "santa's visit". I didn't like the other ones. I expand my village with MOC's. Not my own, so technically they are SEOC's (Someone Else Own Creation) -

This year they already issue another Christmas tree. So if this rumor is true I hope it won't include a christmas tree. Last years GW the iceskating "rink" was a disappointment in my opinion. The only thing I liked avbout were the minifigs -

You can buy the city figures and put them in your wintervillage. I have a guy in a wheelchair in mine -

I never was because the Home Alone set is: a) issued as an Ideas set b) to large and expensive to be a WV set -

David Younger has a nice parade. Look at inklingbricks.com (https://inklingbricks.com/instructions/30-winter-village-parade.html) -

There are a lot of "meet Santa" as MOC's on Rebrickable. I already have one, so please no: not such a set, although I like the idea of a town hall -

I'm hoping for a non fanatasy set. On the other I'm hoping for a fantasy set. Gives me a reason not to buy it (don't like the fantasy sets) and go for one of many builds I bought the instructions for lately. -

I'm disappointed the rumors are true. Although it looks great as a stand alone, in my opinion it doesn't fit into the wintervillage, even when you leave out the figures. But again that's my opinion. So a no go for me. I'm gonna expand my wintervillage by adding small details and extra figures. Maybe I'm gonna build some things of which I bought the building instructions on E-bay. -

But that is not on the picture shown by "Promobricks". So the picture on "Promobricks" holds no clues, and the Italian site with the store calender they refer to, doesn't show any picture of gingerbread figures. So I don't understand why they use this as "proof" the gingerbread house coming. There is absolutely no clue to be seen there. -

No it's not. The picture is staged. It shows two already existing gingerbreadfigures. The one as promo in front of the box it came in, and the one from the minfigs series in front of the bag it came in. So no real clues.
