Isn‘t that just the minifig from the graveyard set with the basilisk from the microscale Hogwarts? Or am I thinking of the wrong book?

No, you're right. In the book, Nagini isn't printed which is probably a bummer for those who are getting the book.

Just as a reminder, since not everybody has time to read every single post in here: 40419 being a minifig pack is just speculation based on the circumstance that 40418 turned out to be one. It might still be a Brickheadz set instead, so keep your expectations in check :classic: *steps down from soap box*

Yeah, I don't actually expect it to be a minifg pack. My thoughts were just that IF it was, then I would like it to have more diversity.

Assuming there would be a figure from each house I definitely think the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff figures would have the standard jumpers but I'm not sure about the Gryffindor and Slytherin ones. One trend I've noticed in other minifigure packs is that there's at least one figure with unique printing as well so I think there could be a unique torso print for one of the houses - maybe a Slytherin torso printed with a scarf? (a look which is very present in Quidditch matches). However, it is possible that to make all the figures consistent they all just have the same style of jumper without robes or a coat printed over it.

Apart from by houses I also think there will be equal representation in gender, with different looks for each figure like the Microfigures from the board game:

    harry-potter-micro-figure-earrings-stud-

But I also think just like the students in the CMF there will be more inclusion as well. I expect two or at least one figure to have a black or asian Lego skin-tone present in just the hands and the head piece, like Dean Thomas and Cho Chang from the cmf. Hopefully this will make it easier to customise characters like Angelina Johnson, Blaize Zabini, Lee Jordan and Lavender Brown from the first two films (heh ).

I'm really lacking in black and asian skin-toned minifigs so getting more would be great. As for the specific minifgss, I don't care if they're based on characters or not. I don't have any Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw torsos (when the Great Hall came out, I didn't have the money for it) so any torsos that aren't Slytherin or Gryffindor would be wonderful.

I was curious if I could better match the movie model blueprint by making the Quad form from the Grand Staircase Tower, instead of the far side of the Great Hall. I used the Room of Requirements to form one of the quad walls. It's a bit of a wonky "square" but at least now the Great Hall is at the correct 45-degree angle from the rest of the Castle.

That looks really good! I just now realized that TLG proportioned the Great Hall wrong.

I‘m not trying to hype people up, but the rumoured Marvel Brickheadz sets turned out to be a minifig pack. There is now a non-0 probability that the supposed Hogwarts students Brickheadz set could also be something else, if you catch my drift :excited: Maybe I‘m wrong though, so let‘s not get too excited here

Where did you hear this? Do you have a link or something. I haven't been following Marvel very much but I'm interested in said minifig pack.

I don’t read all the comments on this topic so this may be a stupid question, but is the Diagon alley gonna be minifig-scaled or micro-scaled?

I would take you a very long time to read all the comments , so don't worry about it. It's minifig-scale, I believe.

Here is my plan when i get the new set.  the great hall and tower ready from 2018.

so just adding the rock base to the viaduct entrance and the viaduct itself. Adding one extra level to the astronomy tower.

That looks great! Just a suggestion but have you thought of putting the WW castle parts in between the Staircase Tower and the Astronomy Tower?

Am I the only one who likes Mrs Weasley's hair the way it is? The new Hermione hair looks off to me IMO.

I don't really mind Mrs Weasley's hair as is. It seems a tiny bit off but I don't have much of a problem with it. I don't really think the new Hermione hair works for her, I actually prefer the old version.

Does anyone know where I can find the official blue prints of the Hogwarts grounds? I’m trying to create the layout with the current/future sets.

Also, which towers are in the background of the Clock Tower cover? Great Hall cover teased the Astronomy Tower. The Astronomy Tower, unfortunately, shows an existing set.

I don't have the official blueprints but I have a ground floor layout that shows some changes throughout the films. Let me know if you want it.

I'm pretty sure I remember someone commenting on Grawp and how he/she didn't like the stickers. I wanted to see what it looked like so I removed them from the picture (his face is a print so it's still there), I've never done anything like this before so excuse me if something doesn't look right.

That looks pretty good! I prefer it with stickers but it's good that it looks decent without them.

It's exhausting how much the castle changed over the years. It was really shoddy work on the film makers' parts and removes any idea of continuity. If I was JK Rowling I would have been POed at them for changing the castle and the characters (Fat Lady, Fltiwick, Tom, etc.) so much.

Yeah, it's quite irritating because I'm trying to build my own Hogwarts and I have to decide which movie to base it off of. Entire sections and towers were added and removed and it's all rather frustrating. I found a site that shows all the differences throughout the films if you would like to take a look: https://scifi.stackexchange.com/questions/129604/what-changes-have-been-made-to-hogwarts-throughout-the-series

Hello Everyone, I've made myself a Eurobricks account seeing as it's probably time I stopped watching everyone and got involved.:sweet:

I'd also just like to ask, is the ROR set going to be part of the overall Hogwarts assembly? ( Great Hall, Clocktower etc.)

Welcome! You can put with the overall display but considering that both sides of it are supposed to be interior, it would require some modifications.

Woohoo! So the next question is, will we finally get purple masonry bricks?

I've been wanting to make my own WWW for a while, so getting it in DA is great. If it has purple masonry, I will be ecstatic.

That's only a minor issue though. I'm also not a huge fan of us getting a third potions classroom but they expected the WW to be retired by now so it's understandable, still doesn't explain the awful random tiny one from the Great Hall though.

I thought the one is the Great Hall was a storage room.

The first 2 placements are fairly easy to ignore but the last 2 wouldn't make any sense if this was just a random owl. This means there are only 2 possible answers to the mystery of the Burrow's brown owl:

    1. I have completely lost my mind because of the quarantine

    2. This owl is supposed to be Pigwidgeon (even though the exact coloring and especially the size isn't right)

I think it might be a bit of both . This quarantine business is messing with everyone's heads. But I hadn't thought of it being Pigwidgeon so that's my lego headcanon as well.

I think if they continue the modular style Hogwarts sections, the next two sections that would really hold it all together would be the Quad and the Long Gallery. Both are large enough sections to be sea for sure. After that, a stand-alone Owlery would be stellar.

I'm really looking forward to a set based on the Quad because it's not represented very much. I don't think that they'll do it but regardless, it would still be cool.

SIDE NOTE: Does anyone know why retailers in the United States very rarely discount sets that are $90+, but they have no difficulty putting smaller sets on sale for 20-30% off within a month?  For that reason, my first priorities are going to be the Burrow and the Astronomy Tower, which, to be fair, are my favorites, anyway.  :shrug_confused:

I'm not really sure. The same thing seems to happen in Canada. All the cheaper sets are put on discount quickly but the more expensive sets are full-price for a while.
