  1. Well.....it is called Dream Lego Licensed Themes and I get it may compete with City, but how about a theme based on one of my favorite TV serieses of all time; The Chicago Series.
  2. Personally, I think those were some of the best times for Lego town-based sets. For sales and from a business standpoint, it was probably one of the worst time periods. But for those who grew up with those sets and have nostaligic memories from that time period (myself included), I can confirm that it was one of Lego's best times. Btw, You also forgot about the Divers and Paradisa - and my personal favorite, Race, btw.
  3. I'd point out the one from the 2018 Capital City set, but I just realized that you're talking about the fact that it's a standalone bus. Tbh, I hope we see more of standalone buses in the future. So far, the tour bus is my favorite great vehicle. Cmon City! Give us a bendy bus already.
  4. It's definitely different now. From 2024 onwards, it seems like the only redeeming quality about City right now happens to be the great vehicles.
  5. For 2026, I hope they bring the designer of Friends sets to assist with making the sets centered around the buildings in City. I don't mean actually make the sets centered around girls. But I mean upgrade the detail. I love what the designer of Speed Champions did with the vehicles. Now the buildings need an upgrade. For 2026, I want a post office! As far as trains are concerned, I think they should abolish the trains subtheme and spread the trains accross subthemes. For example, police and fire trains do exist, even if we don't see them often - they're mainly prominent in Europe. Hospital trains were pretty prominent in the past, especially during the dark ages of the US Army (.i.e the first and second world wars). Perhaps a modern day rail-going ambulance anyone? There are also breakdown trains which tow broken down engines and even construction trains are pretty prominent. Of course, we can have the passenger and freight trains that come every 2-3 years, but those can easily be put into the cargo and a potential public transportation subthemes.
  6. Oh wow! I had plastic bags in the one I brought. I agree, both of those are definately solid builds. I brought the ambulance as part of a vehicle haul along with the lifeguard truck, camper and mobile doughnut shop. That ambulance fits right into my town. Then there was the tour bus from 2024, which was my favorite vehicle of that year.
  7. Up until the 2016 service center, I have only owned the blue "Oil" torso along with some of the white racing torsos. I still have a lot of my old town worker torsos in my collection. The Blue Oil one is my favorite.
  8. My favorite 2025 great vehicles has to be the mobile doughnut shop. I always thought it was kinda cool how from 2024 onwards, food trucks can be either a stationary shop or a food truck, which started with the burger truck. I hope that is actually a permanent thing because I think its kinda neat.
  9. It appeared, but race car driver Rhoda Hogg was the one wearing it, but it had red sleeves. I was just surprised that Nubby wasn't wearing it as that was the blue Octan torso was what mechanics wore. Gas Station attendants wore it too. The white Octan torso is still pretty prominent as well. That one was also updated a few times too. There was also a rare green one that had minor appearances in some Town Jr/City sets and made appearances in the LEGO LOCO game. I often called that one, Nubby Stevens in an alternate universe.
  10. I think of all the Octan torsos, the blue ones are my favorite, including the one from the 2016 gas station and onwards. Considering that the blue Octan torso was around at the time, I'm surprised that they never used that torso on Nubby Stevens from Lego Island. In Lego Island, he wears a construction workers uniform despite being a mechanic for the Octan Corporation.
  11. Funny I just thought of that after I asked the question. Lol But yeah, I could use them as animatronics and I may use the baby dino for a statue.
  12. I saw some new Jurassic World sets on IG. I think I can actually use some of those for my town. So far I've seen a few vehicles and a building that could be useful. I don't know what I'd use the dinosaurs for though. Any recommendations?
  13. Yeah I'll admit that I am not a fan of the new splashes on City vehicles. My preference goes to the older ones from the mid 2000s to the early 2020s. I do wish they got a better design team. Was he behind the civilian set crazes or 2021 and 2022?
  14. Yeah that was kinda dumb of them. Don't get me wrong, I love the way the vehicles look. But I kinda miss the former designer for City sets because we got more buildings. What do you think about them bringing in designers of Friends and Creator 3in1 to help this guy out?
  15. Too late! They did a lot of that during the 2010s and they're doing it right now. Lol
  16. Yes it is. So far, the only two summer sets I'm excited to see are the heavy duty tow truck and the tower.
  17. Yeah! Instead of a base set, they had a mobile unit that could be taken from place to place in the arctic instead of being stationary - which imo, feels more realistic that the base from 2014.
  18. Yeah....didn't they have something like that for the 2018 arctic wave?
  19. The 2014 one reminds me of one of those ICE trains that runs through Europe. I wish I didn't miss that one because I really love the design.
  20. Its okay! I knew what you meant actually. You meant a locomotive with no motor like the Emerald Night, TGV and the old Hogwarts Express.
  21. I wouldn't mind one of those to be honest, but considering that trains can already be converted into dummy locomotives with no motors - Lego probably thinks that idea would be pretty pointless. Its likely that they have already thought of doing that. The downtown tram is somewhat of a dummy train as its one that you push along. Ooooooh how I wish we could go back to that era where we had an entire theme of trains equipment (i.e. standalone stations, train cars, rails, sheds and even engines). The My Own Train theme was shortlived, but I tell you, that theme will be missed. As far as the 2022 passenger train is concerned, I'm there with you.
  22. I will continue to take my stance on this - the 2014 and 2018 passenger trains were the best passenger trains to grace the City theme.
  23. I'll admit that I was kinda hoping for the F1 cars to be sponsored by fictional companies such as Octan, Vita Rush, Fresh, etc.
  24. I think what surprised me the most is the fact that they even bothered to include buildable road plates in this set. This is just what I needed to assure me that buildable roadplates are not finished just yet.
