Here are a couple of decals for the Twelfth Doctor portrayed by Peter Capaldi, don't forget to download them on Flickr in full scale (300dpi).
The Decals are formatted in CYMK colour mode, the colours may look too saturated on-screen, but it will print correctly. (depending on your own printer settings)

Thanks for all the positive comments guys. It seems that this project has picked up a bit of media attention as it's been making the rounds on a number of Doctor Who fan and tumblr sites, and also featured on the frontpage of The Nerdist website, which is awesome!
My only critique would be to give Susan Foreman longer legs, as she was about the same size as the adults in the episode.
I did consider this, however because of her large hair mold when she's stood next to the Doctor she's taller than him, which just looked weird.
Nice ! The scene is good, the figs are great, and the renders are beautiful. I think your Tardis is a bit too simple, but the rest is perfect.
Thanks, I did try to pack in as much detail into the TARDIS without having to resort to illegal techniques, it was also important that the door functioned as well, there's no point having a TARDIS you can't get into. ^_^

All four minifigures are custom designed to represent the first ever Doctor and companions. The featured models were created in Bricksmith, converted LeoCAD, and imported and rendered in Cinema 4d, these images are some of set for project over on LEGO Ideas, you can go further into the history and check out the full proposal, or if you want to see this as a set, please vote for it there.

Using this image as a reference, I'm guessing your results ended up like the blue stripe, which is normal off-the-shelf masking tape, which due to a high paper to plastic content means the paint bleeds into the grain and absorbs the paint. You want to use a better quality tape, the best widely avaible tape is Frogtape which is green, or even better is plastic pin-striping tape which can be found model shops and some warehouse stores.
As a couple of sidenotes, when masking off, use your nail or another piece of LEGO and spend a good 10-20 seconds pressing down the tape to make absolutely sure there is no air bubbles or gaps in the tape. Avoid masking off with paper, always with plastic. And finally build up thin layers of paint rather than one heavy coat, a heavy coat will build up along the tape and can adhere to it, maing removal a messy job,it also create a lip, which isn't very pretty. ^_^

-Use old parts that can be trashed if needs be.
-Use cling film pulled tight to avoid any creases that will disfigure you sculpt. Tin/Aluminium foil can be too thick when working with minifigure parts, it also creases rather than stretch which means it doesn't keep flush to the LEGO part, unike film.
-You could sculpt straight onto a old part, wait for the Milliput to fully dry out and harden, then heat up the sculpt, both pieces should become a bit more supple and you can prise them apart. Obviously, don't burn yourself. ^_^
-If you're after multiple part, you could always knock up a mold and cast from it.

I have to echo the complains about the series so far, I've only made these characters so far because they are most multidimensional of the cast. I wasn't intending to create the rest of the team, but it's something I'll look into. ^_^

With the Release of LEGO: MARVEL Superheroes on the way I thought it was time to make an Agent Coulson Minifig, cos this universe needs one! So inspired by the new series of 'Marvel's Agents of Shield' being broadcast and what references on LEGO Coulson exist, that's what I did, along with a few members of his handpicked task-force to accompany him.

Probably the most famous Meme in the Star Wars Universe, definitely the biggest in-joke. From a simple, podgy extra running around Cloud City with a Ice Cream Maker as a prop, to a Hero of the Rebellion escaping with the City's Memory Core, holding the names of the Rebel's biggest financiers. This guy epitomises the Star Wars fandom and the Expanded Universe, where any background extra can get a back story tightly woven and is integral to the main plot of the films, all from a couple of frames screentime. He's a tribute to the fandom's sense of humor, and devotion they have to the series.
After doing a little research into Bespin and Cloud City for Episode One of Nar Eurbrikka, I came across this guy and thought that I just MUST have a minifigure of the guy to play around with. ^_^

Taking inspiration from the Constable in Series 11 of the CMF, I've reworked the moustache to make it more... 'moustachey' and defined the lip. In addition I've also uploaded a Yellow skin version for those LEGO Purists out there.

Some great looking decals, I'm especially liking the way that both the Dragonball Z and Fullmetal Alchemist decals adopt the style of the series, without deviating from the official LEGO style.
As a sidenote to countering thieves, you already mentioned it, by using something like DeviantART that clearly shows a time-stamp and copyright info on every page is a great way to fight back on any claimants who decide to take your work as your own. Also making a simple splash page for you decals with a watermark and date attached (A bit like my Cloud Car Pilot) can also deter people from bothering to re-edit and pinch your stuff, but still giving those who want to, the option to download and print your decals.
Anyways, just my thoughts. ^_^

With Episode One of Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka now launched and Bespin under invasion, I thought I'd have a go at creating one of Cloud City's residents, someone LEGO hasn't yet had a spin at. The Cloud Car Pilot, part of the Bespin Wing Guard, the security forces on Bespin.
LEGO have only released one Cloud Car in the Star Wars Line, 7119 back in 2002 (thats not including the recent mini-build), and that came with Lobot, so no actual cloud car pilots have been made. Because they only feature in the film for a split second, there is little information on the uniform, so this version is mostly constructed from the action figure, which is why he has that awesome seventies moustache. Also included is the parts list so everything matches up. (Forgot to add that he is equipped with a DC-17 tiny blaster)

Just a reminder that Cloud City also features in videogame Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, the Cloud City depicted in the game is a much more gritty and industrious place, compared to the gleaming paradise shown in The Empire Strikes Back. showing mining platforms, tankers, refineries and the ugnaught quaters.
So if you're looking to depict the city's underbelly, its a great reference tool.

Red Skull: The Captain America Villian, the Red Skull. Their is bound to be a Red Skull minifig being thrown around somewhere in the pipe works at LEGO, its just a matter of time. Captain America has no other nemesis as popular as the nazi slap-head, unless you count Iron Man. (civilwaramirite?)
The Scarecrow: Not a massive fan of the official LEGO Batman Scarecrow, for me he's a bit too graphic and not really in keeping with the LEGO's house style, so I took a shot at making him more LEGO-y. What you think?

I wanted to know how supporting a project is investment of anything other than a minute of one's time.
For some, particularly amongst non-lego fans, that minute to create an account is too much for them, especially on account that they will most likely use once. This is evident in the Poptropica project for example, with a huge amount of views, with a comparably low support value.
I was just making the point that if people are offering extra incentives (beyond the set actually being made) that it can only increases the chance of those views being converted into support. I also believe you would be likely to check back in with a project that was constantly evolving and expanding, as well as engage more with comments and publicity. Anything to stop your project from becoming stale.

I think the viewer/support ratio is quite an organic thing, its not until the 200-400 point that you can start to workout each projects ratio.
For me, my project has fluxuated from 5/1 to 200/1, I think now its been around for a few months, that its starting to flatline.
There are a few project out there that are offering incentives for reaching goalpoints, this seems like a great way to convert those views into actual support as people have to actually invest in the project. The latest Adventure Time Project is a perfect example of this, revealing new characters when benchmarks are reached.

I going to shamelessly plug my own little project. Why not take a look, it's not a licence or intellectual property so every vote of support goes a long way. It started life off as an experiment in recreating an official looking LEGO City Set. ^_^
This miniature engine was inspired by the little shunting engine from LEGO's own City set, 4204 'The Mine'. It rolls in at just 5 studs wide, and can run on rails at just 4-studs wide. The LEGO historians amongst you may recognise the character on which it's name is based.

That is just over the top bending the minifigs like that, really gets the feel of a lego promo picture... the only problem is that your colors are too good. You really need to stick some oddball colored part to make it look like a REAL lego set (like the tan axle pins on the EN) [Thppt!!!].
lol, I did consider throwing the odd 2x2 blue plate in there somewhere, maybe I will in the next one. ^_^

This little engine was inspired by the little shunting engine from LEGO's own City set, 4204 'The Mine' which it is pictured with below. This little engine is just 5 studs wide, and can run on rails at just 4-studs wide. The LEGO historians amongst you may recognise the character on which it's name is based.
The engine is based on the iconic miniature engine 'Talyllyn', from the Talyllyn Railway, the worlds first preserved railway in Wales, United Kingdom. The aim was to not to create an exact replica of the engine, but rather it was a self discipline exercise to produce a set that would fit in nicely along side the rest of the LEGO City range. As well as to represent a steam engine at this small scale.
Heres an image of it next the magnificent Emerald Night to appreciate the scale of the model. The entire 3-piece train is a tad longer than just the Emerald Night's Engine section!
Had all the pieces been available in their respective colours I would have made a physical version of the model, but alas they don't, so instead this model was created using Bricksmith and rendered in POV-Ray (Thanks to C3POwen's awesome tutorial).
I've decided to upload it to LEGO Cuusoo, so if you like please SUPPORT it there. It would be great to have an actual LEGO Train set that was more affordable to those with a smaller pocket, as the smaller sets in the Trains range always seem to be random rolling stock, railway furniture (lights, station accessories, etc) or track packs, not much with the 'swoosh/chuff' factor.
There are more pictures as well as a second engine and some other rolling stock in the works which I'll post up here, and in its Flickr Album when they arrive..
