DC Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
Jack Sassy replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I don't want to anger anyone - I love Lego Batman ever since it first came out in 2006 (always wanted that Batcave) but it ain't as it used to be. No longer do we get Joker ice cream trucks, now it's most of times trike bikes or something more cartooney. I understand that Lego is meant to be this way but it just feels like they've run out of ideas for Batman and rest of Justice League has disappeared. I believe DC Superheroes should take a year's break and then return stronger than ever. -
I'll beat you to it:
-
-''Hey, Morty, why am I so happy?'' -''I don't know, Rick, it's just the way we are.'' Jolly good pictures with a jolly good build. Brickvault always seem to make rather interesting designs.

Oh no! I don't think that Redbeard knows what he's rowing into. Clearly Lego should've made more of the fort sections in 2015 but didn't. Well, that's why we have you to improve upon lack of sturdy defences. Good job.

Yeah, I just noticed that while going through BL, seems that at this point I have a problem with recognizing pieces... Well that's better news than my new sickness, we'll see what the future holds, eh?

Ah, it's one of them Duplo-turned-System type ships, is it? Good work on making it look all System, also, interesting colour choice but as you said, this ones meant for the comic so I'm looking forward to that in the future. Overall, good job on the vessel, dunno what it is, but something is really appealing to me about her.

Oh boy, for me it's got to be 4183 Black Pearl. I really wanted it when it came out, ever since it was my favourite ship at that time in general (after watching POTC movies) and a Lego set of my favourite ship of all time is the dream. Words cannot express how much I regret not getting that set. For years I've been checking list of sets I wanted as a kid and hunting them down, however this is such set that I'm not ready to pay for 600 euros. I've bought few sets that I thought could replace it (Pirates of Barraccuda Bay) but in time realized that no set can do such things. But one day, one day I will build a Black Pearl MOC...

So, this is what happens when Redbeard loses his beloved Barracuda for the SECOND time. Good job on the model, it definitely is a worthy vessel for Captain Roger. I especially like how you integrated the flag on the jib sail rope, quite accurate to such ship. Well, as Brickholomew Roberts once said - ''A merry ship and a short one''. Good job!

Need suggestions for mini figs/ CMFs for a SF and NY MOCs
Jack Sassy replied to hikouki's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I just used that phrase to describe first couple series (like 1,2 and so on), phrase ''harvest'' is usually used in some music band hits compilation where the ''harvest'' years are the first early few years that have been compiled. -
BrickLink Designer Program snubs Pirates - so tell Bricklink what you think in their forum...
Jack Sassy replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
Don't want to turn this into a rant topic but I feel quite the same about them being greedy, more and more expensive sets are being released, like Diagon Alley or that new Friends set. They could've made it seperate sets, but instead made it one big in order to earn more. Guess it's the same problem with Pirates - we can't get just two sets which together are 300 euros (or dollars, depends where you live) we need smaller ones too and army building sets like back in the day, oh and also imperials. -
[MOC] "Broadside Bay" by Jason B (@the_brick_stop)
Jack Sassy replied to Mister Phes's topic in Pirate MOCs
An excellent design, once again it captures the classic feel of Pirates. I should probably look for different uniform torsos to see what kind of new factions can be made. Jolly good work. -
We all have to contribute to EB. How else would you expect to keep this forum afloat if not for 'charity donations'. Though I managed to slip away without buying any sets for staff members (don't tell anyone), I feel as if someone is tracking me down to make sure I don't get away with this... I wanted to add a scared emoji but decided that I'll use something we don't see everyday (more or less) -

At last, we have a continuation. That mid-size leg used for the amputated leg really fits well. Surely Bonaparte can't give up even when his friend dies like that.

What about Harry? Sure, Snape and Dumbledore discussed about how boy was going to die in the end (talking about school safety ) but was always strict against him because he knew that Harry would be as arrogant as his father.

Interesting concept, wish to see how'll this go on in the future. Supported. -
Well, he did so to save students from being arrogant or something along those lines.

Maybe add some of those singers and DJs they had This guy can be for both cities: Skater from series 1 could do well for New York: Traffic Cop from series 2 would do well for San Francisco: It's really up to you at the end of the day, there are so many figures but I'd suggest looking into harvest series because that's when they were making more modernly realistic ones. -
Random people keep following me?

That's where years of building Lego army comes into play. We must defend Eurobricks main gates at all costs! -
Benefits of collecting 2001-2011 sets and having about 10 sets of 7094.

Title itself brings back few memories. Also, good to see these minfigs used in MOCs. Really like it.

[MOC] Pirate Safehouse 2 - Alternate Build for the Pirates of Barracuda Bay
Jack Sassy replied to StefanGDS's topic in Pirate MOCs
How very nice. I like that while it's compact, it stores so many little details and especially I like the addition of hanging bridge. Good job! -
Ah, a jolly good fortress, hopefully soldiers will be able to defend what is theirs, good job! Your choice might bring some controversy amongst others around here....
-
How come I didn't see this before? Amazing work on the build, reminds me a bit of my old school (not sure if it's a good thing or not). Good job!

The Crimson Mermaid (playing with pirates sets 31109 and 21322, and some other stuff)
Jack Sassy replied to jan kusters's topic in LEGO Pirates
A very nice story of your own life and road to Pirates. Hope to see more stories from The Crimson Mermaid and her crew in the future. -
Yes, in fact I did. Seeing a set with a sheep, bunny and a horse makes it bit too good to be true, almost as if we're back in 2009.
