I'm not so good at feeling bags... But I do have the chance to know a reseller in Switzerland that sells open minifigs. I'll go and buy a few nutcrackers (still missing from my collection), reindeers and snowmen later this week. I bought a few bags but got 4 damn Thanksgiving turkeys. Any ideas what I can do with them? I already placed one in the village that is chased by a guy with an axe ;) , another one will be in a corner where I'm creating a costume contest but the other two ? I'm looking forward to seeing this year's set. Last year we already knew at this date and to be honest I'm not so thrilled about what you guys announced above. But I'm willing to be surprised. I guess there's nothing more for us to do now but wait.

On my birthday!? That would be lovely :) Late though but still lovely :) No rumour or anything to speculate on at this date :O wow! TLG certainly did the job fighting against leaks. Even though logistics issues might happen again as it did with the new HP Hogwarts train a few days ago... I join the crowd here to say I'll be pleased with an inn or a small hotel, including the new bellhop minifig (damn, I'll have to buy that calendar now...). Of course I'll add the new X-mas related minifigs from the 23rd series. It's nice they haven't yet switched to the new packaging for this series which will allow us to buy only the ones we want and not the whole series. The stable idea would also be a nice addition to the WV ! Definitely don't want another fantasy set...

Very nice indeed! I might just do the same, once I check the Hogsmeade set price (OK, 100 swiss frank here, why not). Unrelated question : I want to buy last year's wreath but it's unavailable in Switzerland. Could I order it from the German website and get it delivered to my place in Switzerland? Has anybody done that already? I missed out on this set last year and I'm tired of waiting for it to be available again in my country... And what's more, the German website already gives the possibility to buy the Pinguin set and the X-mas ornaments that are only available in 2 days. That's attractive :) What do you guys think?

I'm very pleased with this set, although I'm not a big fan of the colours of the wall, but I was also not so sure about this colour in the previous cottage, so... I'm like some of you certainly gonna buy 2 or 3 (still need to be sure of the price, I read 89€ so should be around 109 CHF in Switzerland, so basically same price as the last 2 sets GB House and the Elf CH), and change the colours of the walls. I, just like the vast majority here, was looking forward to sets that could actually fit normal people in my village, since I only started it a few years ago with the Train 10254 and the Train station 10259. I got lucky to find the first Toy Shop 10249 and Santa's Workshop 10245 on the secondary market from people who were not crazy speculators. Anyway, I'm pretty happy with this year's releases, and I'm sure we'll be able to accomodate this set and the other ones already announced into something fun for Christmas. Still hoping to find the wreath and I'll be fully happy :D A wish for next year's set : something like the Christmas market 10235 with small buildings and stuff to add here and there :) New idea : a gigantic Christmas tree for the center of the village that all villagers would come to decorate. Wouldn't it be fun?

I really hope they stock up this time! I could not get my hands on the Christmas wreath last year and I was so disappointed. I heard it could be released again this year so I keep my eyes open in case it does but I try no to get my hopes up too high ;) Looking forward to the official reveal, I read a guy's comment on another site that said this year's release will be a re-edition of the cottage. I don't know what to think. On the one hand I'm happy because second market is out of control for old WV sets, but on the other hand, I was kind of expecting a brand new idea for this year. Let's hope they won't take too long before announcing it :)

So, this is it. This year's WV set is finally revealed and I'm like quite a number of people here kind of disappointed the rumours were true. Although the more I look at it, the more I like it. I'm not sure how I am going to integrate it in my current village, since I recently added the Ski Resort (good set and fun to build btw). Maybe I will enalrge the "fantasy" section alonside Santa's workshop or something like that. The design is pretty nice, a few exclusive parts, but the minfigs come on, the baby is a joke, I would have preferred a real 3 minifig to this... Let's see how it goes when I receive it.

This Xtra polybag is nice but what about the amount of pieces in it? It's a shame to have such a low amount in a polybag when you remember the past year's Xtra polybags... Still no peak at the official Winter Village set, this is weird. I hope we'll have something soon, September is close by, now. Only a few days remaining and the wait is over.

Well it seems that there's not much hope left for the ones who didn't want this year's set to be a Gingerbread House. I would have preferred something else too, but I'm sure we'll find a way to include it in our Winter Village, one way or another. I'm looking forward to seeing the first pics of the set. The sooner the better to try and see how it can fit in my own village.

Since I've been searching for the best deals to complete my WV collection (I only started earlier this year), I would be more than happy with a release of any of the oldest sets starting from 10235 - WV Market and previous. But sincerely for a special anniversary like that, I would expect something a bit more exceptional than a re-edition... I completely agree with you Feng-huang0296, something like the Assembly Square sould be perfect! I expect a big building and several smaller ones to complete the set. I find it rather curious that we never got something as basic as a ski-related building, or a luge platform with many minifigs fighting with snowballs (something big, not just the mini size walls we got in a few polybags). I would like to buy a ski lodge along with a small ski / luge track. Does that sound wintery enough?

Oh my I'm so enthusiastic about this Disney steam train rumour! Finally Goofy and Pluto minifigs which are long overdue... If this ends up being real, between this year's WV, the SW UCS, the Disney Castle which I have been wanting for over 6 months now but still haven't bought, and this train + station, I'm gonna be broke for X-mas :D Broke but happy!

I remember this Ideas set that was proposed a few years ago by Swan Dutchman : https://ideas.lego.com/projects/7a204071-7d33-4cfd-9306-15f1cdbfb798/updates#content_nav_tabs The piece count is 1424, so basically fairly close to the actual rumored piece count. This year being the 10 year anniversary of this series, I would like very much to be surprised!

I have to say I'm a bit disappointed by the pictures of the 60203 - Ski resort set. It doesn't look snowy enough IMO, but it's still a City set, not a dedicated Winter Village one, so I guess it's OK... If I decide to buy it, maybe I will reuse some of the elements in my own WV. Regarding rumours I read in this thread, I would be a bit disappointed if this year's set were a gingerbread house but I would wrap my mind around it anyways. I started collecting WV sets earlier this year and some old sets are just crazy insanely expensive on eBay or Bricklink. I would have been pleased with a big reedition of an old set like the WV Market but it's still quite new (released "only" in 2013, maybe not old enough to be re-edited). Still IMO, I don't think a 1400 something brick set with very small elements such as decoration for a GB House would satisfy me as an anniversary set. I guess we can only wait and see in the next few weeks if we have more details to discuss about.
