Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Holden Brickfield replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think you might be right there. Just watched the scene in question—you never get a great look at the guy but from what short glimpses you do get of him the leaked torso seems to match up -

That one too is quite appropriate -

All I can think of is that Rose meme: “How long have you been waiting for DA to be revealed?” “It’s been 84 years...” -

Well we can certainly hope it does. Even if it doesn’t, the reveal probably isn’t too far off from now, so having it leak won’t make too much difference if we’re just gonna see HD pics within a couple days, but I would be very pleased to finally see pictures (even potato pictures) of DA today -

If some of the DA shops are more based on their Universal Parks appearances as opposed to their movie appearances, I wonder if Universal would be allowed to sell the DA set in their parks. Is Universal allowed to sell any of the Harry Potter sets there? -

I’m taking this with a huge grain of salt, because 1) it’s a brand new account that posted this, 2) why wouldn’t they include Ollivander’s whole name? And 3) you could easily copy and paste the description onto a Word document and type in what you want -

I feel there are a multitude of reasons why Gringotts isn’t in the set, not just one specific reason. I’m sure when they started conceptualizing the DA set they wanted to include Gringotts, but eventually decided they wouldn’t be able to do as much justice to the building as they’d want to, given the constraints of the $400 price point. Even if it ends up meaning the final DA model doesn’t look as good as it could’ve with Gringotts at the end, I’d like to think doing justice to the street, across more than one set if necessary, was at the forefront of their minds. Would I have personally wanted Gringotts included? Right now, of course, but that’s partly because I haven’t seen the finished product yet. If it looks amazing even without Gringotts, would I have necessarily been willing to sacrifice some of the parts put into the individual shops, in order to have the bank there as well? I don’t know, but the only way I’ll know for sure is when the set is finally revealed, and judge for myself then And just as I was typing this out, @Accio Lego touched on what I was saying -

Dunno if anyone else noticed this, but earlier today some LEGO news outlets (The Brick Fan and Brick Fanatics were the two I saw) covered that the description of DA leaked on the LEGO Shop website, so the reveal should be pretty soon right? I feel like LEGO wouldn’t have let them cover it (if they’re Recognized Fan Media of course) if the announcement wasn’t super soon. Just something to note -

Plus, why would they delay DA? It doesn’t seem like any of the other D2C’s the last few months have been delayed, so why would this one be any different? Of course it’s possible any of those sets were delayed and we just didn’t know, but wouldn’t we know? Regardless, I’m gonna trust @Falconfan1414 on this one -

Phew, glad that was finally put to rest, though we would’ve known for sure whether it was real within the next few days so -

Deep meaning if the front of the shops were right on the edge of the model, then their (probably) open backs will be 5 inches behind that. Sorry if I’m not explaining it well Ahhhh, @Zepthire you just beat me to it -

I will admit my mother probably could’ve worded it better but I think she was specifically talking about the brick entrance, an aspect which I do hope makes it into the final model, even without LC. Very fascinating to hear other people’s family’s responses! -

My brother said, “The bank, uh the pub, probably the joke shop,” and my mother said, “The outside—just the bricks.” Interesting answers to say the least -

And at US retail prices those 11 sets add up to $574.89, so I’d say we’re getting a pretty great deal with DA -

Wow! A meter long?? Well shoot, looks like I’ll really have to consider how I’m displaying it, as I don’t have any table space that long for it, unless of course I use my electric keyboard table, then I have no place for the keyboard—ahhhhhhhhhhh but no, this is exciting, I’m anxious to see how they’ll do Gringotts next year, and that piece count is spectacular. Hopefully the reveal comes tomorrow or Friday! -

I’d been wondering if we’d ever get a rumored (specific) piece count for DA, would love this to be true -

I had just woken up and saw that lego had posted on Instagram so I clicked on it. Me, barely awake, thought for a split second the picture was of Diagon Alley and not the city set. I really am losing my mind at this point -

Looking at the licensed D2C’s that have come out this year, and comparing their reveal and release dates, the Lamborghini seems to be an outlier here, as that was revealed at RLFM Days, so I think as long as nothing goes wrong, we should expect a reveal within the next week 75275 UCS A-wing Starfighter (4/16—5/1, 15 days) 42115 Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 (5/28—6/1, 4 days) 43179 Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Buildable Characters (6/15—7/1, 16 days) 71374 Nintendo Entertainment System (7/14—8/1, 18 days) -

Yeah, wow...the way the orange catches the light, that’s just mesmerizing. I am absolutely fascinated as to how they made that piece, but yeah the figures (and their accessories especially) so far look great, even Harry who seemed pretty basic I’m impressed by
