Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

    Wow, it's pretty big!
  2. Thank you so much everyone! I'm glad you like this creation :D
  3. Hey everyone! Let me share my latest creation, which is probably my biggest creation so far! It's a modular building, but I'll be honest, I cheated a bit - it doesn't come with separable floors and interior, but I rather build and experiment with façade details. :) My favorite detail in it is this brick built door: Let me know which is your favorite detail in it!
  4. Thank you so much! I didn't have any more "spare" door parts in my collection, so I thought I could build doors for this one, haha :)
  5. Thanks! I'm glad you like it!

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

It seems like it is true - I saw that image on LEGO's FB page, and Zusammengebaut just posted a photo of a package (which Andres got from LEGO)... So some bloggers already saw the new modular, haha. :)

    AFOL designer program

Hello everyone! Just a quick reminder, that this is the last day you can purchase the 13 (12, actually) AFOL Designer Sets! :) Which one is your favorite? The Vintage Roadster is on its way to me, I really like those oldtimer cars, that's why I ordered it. I also like the castle, but it reached its maximum production number (2500) back in April, so unfortunately I couldn't order it, and of course I like the Old West Saloon too! :) https://www.bricklink.com/v3/crowdproject/main.page
  13. Hello everyone! The first couple of AFOL Designer Sets from BrickLink have arrived to the people who pre-ordered them, so I thought it's time to make a review of my design, The LEGO® Story (which now has a set number too, BL19008). The postman gave me a classic brown box, with the BrickLink logo on it. After I opened it, I was finally able to see the beautiful, high quality box design. It has a white sleeve, with a couple of images of the four vignettes, the BrickLink logo, the 60 years anniversary logo from LEGO and a nice sticker, with "Exclusive LEGO element included" label. When you remove this white part of the box, you can see a nice backdrop photo for the model (on the inner side of the white sleeve), and of course the matte black box, with the BrickLink logo, and a nice brick pattern. The box is closed with a special shiny sticker, which includes the set number and name, and the (user)name of the AFOL who designed it. Let's open this black box! You can see here a thank you message from BrickLink and The LEGO Group, the exclusive element, the numbered bags, and the building instruction: Here is the exclusive element! - 39789pb01 The set contains 9 bigger, and several smaller bags (inside the bigger ones, for the smaller LEGO pieces), which are numbered similarly to the official LEGO set bags. A1 and A2 contains the pieces for the old workshop, B1 and B2 for the old moulding machine, C1 and C2 for the designer's office, and finally D1, D2, and D3 contains the pieces for the modern factory with the big moulding machine. The building instruction booklet is really high quality, just like the ones which you get with the bigger Creator Expert sets these days. I believe most of you have already seen the set on different sites, but here are some photos of the final model, and an official unboxing video made by BrickLink! Official unboxing video:
  14. Dear Eurobricks members! I'm happy to present you my latest MOC, The LEGO® Story! I built four small vignettes, which represent 4 different eras of LEGO’s history. When I started designed this set idea, first of all I wanted to find the "target audience". I realized that this model will be probably interesting for AFOLs, and serious LEGO builders or collectors, so I wanted to make it have a "premium feel" (that's why I built the same black base for all four scenes), and I also wanted to hide some small, but important details in the models, like the old wooden duck on the first vignette, or the mould inside the moulding machine! At the same time, I thought it would be good to make it playable for children, so it was quite tricky to get that "sweat spot". I'd also like to mention that I used some interesting, more advanced building techniques in all little scenes, so I hope fellow LEGO fans will have a great time building this set. Let's see some images of it: I also made a short animation of it: As you can see in this video, I designed it for the BrickLink AFOL Designer Program, so in case you'd like to build it, you can pre-order the set on this page. :) Happ building everyone! .
  15. Thank you @leafan! :) We're above 200% now, it's crazy!

    BrickJonas just arrived!

Hello there! I'm Jonas, a huge LEGO fan for over 15 years and now I'd like to introduce myself. So, when I was born, my sister already had some duplo sets, and I started playing with those in my early years. Later, when I was around 4, I got my first System set from my parents, I believe it was a small city fire car. From that moment, I couldn't stop playing with LEGO, and when I had enough bricks (or I should say "when I had more brick", because we all know that we won't ever have enough bricks..) I also started building my own creations. My favorite theme is Creator Expert, especially the Modular Buildings line. My first one was the Grand Emporium, and I bought every single modular after that, and also managed to buy the Green Grocer last year brick by brick from BrickLink - I have to say I'm really satisfied now. :) A few years ago, I also started exploring the world of digital LEGO bricks. These days I'm mainly using Mecabricks for planning, building, and rendering my MOCs, and since I don't have enough room for my physical LEGO bricks, and I don't really have time because of university, I mainly build my creations digitally. I also make LEGO animations sometimes. I had a LEGO Ideas project too a few years ago, which was probably my best MOC and biggest achievement so far. Thanks to that model, I was featured on LEGO blogs like The Brothers Brick and Brickset. I haven't reached 10.000 supporters, but I'm not the kind of person who easily throws away his dreams, so you might see some set ideas from me in the future too. ;) May the bricks be with you...always!

    REVIEW: 70840 Welcome to Apocalypseburg!

It's an interesting set. When I saw it for the first time, I was like "OMG I need it NOW!", then later I realized that it's not for me (I don't have any ideas on where could I put it), but after seeing all the details on these pictures above, I want to buy it again... :D It's also nice to see so many sand green parts in it. Thank you for the review!

    BrickJonas just arrived!

Thank you guys! @leafan sure, I'll actually post some pictures and a video of a brand new MOC on Friday, but here are some older ones: The LEGO Factory Playset (this was my LEGO Ideas project which I mentioned above): I also used some details and ideas from it, when I built some small scenes for a charity auction in late 2018 (but redesigned the moulding machine! :D): And I'm really proud of this mini modular MOC, the Grand Hotel: And finally, here is an animation too, I designed this MOC last summer:
