    [Review] #75272 Sith Tie Fighter

Where on the back does it show the folding wings? And you say at the beginning it has 4 minifigs, none of which are in the set. Then you go on to say there are 3 minifigs in it.

[MOC] Imperial Star Destroyer - The Eviscerator

RIP my Aggressor build. I’ll be very curious to know how many pieces from it I can use to build this!

Nebulon-B Escort frigate MOC - album in comments

Thanks very much. This forum will be one of the first places I’ll post about them if I make any! :)
  4. Hi all, I've just finished work on a moc of the amazing EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate. Its such a complex ship to look at that I didn't think I'd get very far on it to be honest, but it turned out to be surprisingly Lego-friendly. The model is made of about 1,100 pieces and is 58cm long and 30cm high. It took me about a month to design and build it. It has an L-shaped technic structure inside which makes it pretty strong and I can easily carry it around by holding the mid section connecting tube. For anyone interested the full album can be found on my flickr page here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/164260086@N06/albums/72157712097621513/with/49181413701/ Here's a few pictures from it: Thanks for looking.

Nebulon-B Escort frigate MOC - album in comments

Thanks. :) the white engines... yeah.. :/ they were my attempt at replicating the effect seen here: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/EF76_Nebulon-B_escort_frigate/Legends?file=NebBengines_btm.jpg Not easy to do with Lego but I tried ;) As for instructions, if I could I would. I really need to teach myself how to use Stud.io or LDD. That’s one of my plans for 2020 actually so I may well rebuild this in digital and produce instructions for it as my first project. Great ideas all round. One of the main rules I imposed on myself when making this was to not look at any other Mocs of this ship, so any similarities are genuinely coincidental. I’ve since looked at a few and noticed some people use wedge plates as you’ve suggested. They do look cool. I think for me my stubborn intent to have as few studs visible as possible, along with an excess of LBG tiles and a lack of LBG wedge plates in my spares determined how that section came out! As for those pods at the front, I agree, I really wanted to colour match them but I couldn’t find the curved wedges I used for the bridge in sand green or a tan version of the cone section lower down :(

That's easy. Try doing it with 15,310 real lego pieces from bricklink which are randomly bagged and not even grouped by part: https://www.flickr.com/photos/164260086@N06/33911637468/

  9. And they've sold 28 of them!. Unscrupulous a-holes. And they're using pictures of the Tyrant interior to sell it as well. Dumbasses don't even know what they're selling.
  10. I had a thought the other day, what would a high powered hoverbike inspired by HR Giger's Alien Xenomorph look like?. So I started building. And I made The Xenorider. Its made of 180 pieces, is 35cm long (including the flame) and has the following features: 1. Mouth mounted 'Tongue-guns' 2. Lower hull ribbed exo-plating 3. Side to side slime ejector exhausts 4. Seat mounted rear facing temperature dispersion tendrils. The full album can be found here for anyone interested. Thanks for looking :) https://www.flickr.com/photos/164260086@N06/albums/72157711454714936

Good point, well made! Its going in!

[MOC] - The Xenorider. Half Alien Xenomorph, half Hoverbike

Its waaay bigger than mini-fig scale, but it would fit most larger figure builds. In fact I'm planning on building the Xenomorph model by Buildbetterbricks to ride it! I think it'll fit pretty well. I think with Ideas they have pretty strict guidelines on stuff being quite kid friendly. Given the foundation for this build (an unstoppable alien killing machine that tears people in half) it may struggle to make the cut. But I might do it anyway, just for the crack!

Hmmm... Lego ideas... scratches chin in contemplation... And thanks! :) Its pretty much entirely jet black. I shot it in daylight to make use of all round 360 degree lighting to bring out all the nooks and crannies. Its VERY shiny, as all good Xenomorph's should be! consequently, it does look a bit silver in places. There's a bit of LBG in there but the bodywork is all in black. Lovely wonderful black!

    [MOC] Outpost on Starkille Base

Nice work! Looking as polished as ever and it’s only a work in progress! Mind you, you have some competition choosing this location, have you seen what Jhaelon Edwards is working on at the moment? ;) Whilst I’m here, great job on your Tie Whisper. Looking forward to building that one day!

Not that strange. They’re probably telling the truth, after all, it’s not like such a collaboration hasn’t happened before: https://www.reddit.com/r/lepin/comments/bfdnt7/jeremy_has_a_moc_of_the_empire_over_jedha_city_on/

    [MOC/Instruction] Star Destroyer Chronicle

I've now completed the Venator. Really incredible build (though more fragile than the ISD). Full album is here for anyone interested: https://www.flickr.com/photos/164260086@N06/albums/72157711190384011
  17. You could always 'de-stud' the Aggressor like I did: https://www.flickr.com/photos/164260086@N06/albums/72157710727139542

    [MOC/Instruction] Star Destroyer Chronicle

Hi all, I've just completed building the Nemesis. Its a really stunningly accurate model which is doubly impressive given its scale. (I've put a comparison shot with the studio model in my Flickr album), Here's the full album for anyone interested: https://www.flickr.com/photos/164260086@N06/albums/72157710999872528
  19. Buying parts section by section is certainly the most expensive way of buying parts for an already incredibly expensive Moc. Better to buy the while lot in one go.
  20. I wouldn't do bowls or cups unless you have acres of room to spare. I kept everything in zip lock bags and put them in shallow boxes. It looked like this and I could carry it all at once by stacking the boxes on top of each other (though that was bloody heavy to start off with). I would spend an hour each night searching for pieces for about 30-40 pages of the instructions and then an hour building. There really is no magic formula for sorting over 15,000 pieces. I tried to keep all my plates, tiles, bricks, technics and odd bits all separated from each other but grouped together in the boxes but there are so many different types of pieces in this that you're going to be doing a LOT of searching for every single step of it. And that continues right to the end. Even on the last main book I had about 50% of these bags that still hadn't been emptied completely. Its hard work and needs a huge amount of patience. Worth it though.
  21. It’s 97cm long, 58cm wide at its widest point and stands 48cm high from the bottom of the base to the top of the shield generators. It’s also INCREDIBLY heavy!

    Fraud MOC sellers.

I thought Lepin got busted recently? or was that only one little factory? I guess all they did was cut one of the tails off the hydra.

ISD Aggressor with Top Hull Mod

Hi all, I thought some of you might be interested to see my build of Raskolnikov's ISD Aggressor. I finished it a week ago after 4 months of building. I wanted to do something to make the build a bit unique so I decided to try and modify the upper hull a bit. I first removed the 1x1 tiles to smooth it out and added some grill tiles to break it up a bit. I built all the main raised areas on the top hull with tiles instead of studded plates (god I wish Lego would start making wedge tiles!) I also built in the zig zaggy pattern that appears along the top rear hull of ISD's extending out either side of the superstructure into the back corners I redesigned the long thin rectangle section that appears at the front of the superstructure and the triangular raised platform at the very front of the ship. I also redesigned the middle raised platform to make the shape of this part more faithful to the studio model of an ISD. I removed the lightsaber handles from the turrets and doubled up on the clips. Moving onto the superstructure itself, I added in the extra raised platform that appears on the L shaped area directly behind the turrets. I also replaced many of the studded plates on the top roof of the superstructure with tiles (credit to Onecase for his use of cut corner tiles in this area, which I replicated) Finally I added macaroni tiles to the back engines. I seem to have ended up with a sort of Monarch-Aggressor hybrid in the looks department. These changes may be a bit divisive to some but personally I'm really happy with the way it turned out. Modding it wasn't easy. And what a build it was! I loved every second of it. Thanks and all credit to Raskolnikov for this incredible model! Here it is: And here is the full album including tons of pictures of minifigs hanging out in the incredible interior: https://www.flickr.com/photos/164260086@N06/albums/72157710727139542

ISD Aggressor with Top Hull Mod

Gorgeous dog! I’m lucky in that I have a semi detached house with an external garage. I keep all my builds on shelves in that garage. I can also lock it so my kids (5 and 2 year old boys) can’t get their mitts on them. At least for now. When they’re a bit older I’ll let them play with some of them.

ISD Aggressor with Top Hull Mod

Your Mon Cal dwarfs the Aggressor. It must be crazy huge. Where do you store all these massive Mocs? It always makes me chuckle when people ask for Tyrant instructions. If these people actually saw the Aggressor fully built they’d realise how crazy that request is. The Aggressor is enormous and barely moveable when fully assembled as it’s so heavy. I have no idea how you transport the Tyrant to shows. It looks bigger than my car!
