    MOC: Cloud City

A great attempt at something so complex. The interior is great and I love the photo of Luke in that dark corridor - it is very atmospheric!

    "Goodnight, sorry for sinking you."

WOW! I love it! Nice to see such a detailed lego military submarine. I have been searching for ideas for one for ages but this is by far the best that I have seen.

I completely agree, very smooth and sleek. A great build and a good combination of newer and classic pieces.
  6. Brilliant, great idea, very original and well constructed! The water and rocks are both very well made.
  7. Brilliant. I love it! Great piece usage - especially the heart tile for the nose.

The Brick of Nations ---- Retired from Old Game

President Dmitrievich of Alsarh BoN The formation of the Brick of Nations was to decide on rulings and standards for combat engagement and the protection of innocents. The Alsarhian government believes that more needs to be done addressing these issues. The only law that we have collectively decided on is forbidding the use of NBC weapons. Further efforts must be made to restrict suffering in areas of war and unrest. In light of this we would like to put forward a motion: Protection of object indispensable to the survival of the civilian population 1. Starvation of civilians as a method of warfare is prohibited. 2. It is prohibited to attack, destroy, remove or render useless objects indispensable to the survival of the civilian population, such as food-stuffs, agricultural areas for the production of food-stuffs, crops, livestock, drinking water installations and supplies and irrigation works, for the specific purpose of denying them for their sustenance value to the civilian population or to the adverse Party, whatever the motive, whether in order to starve out civilians, to cause them to move away, or for any other motive. 3. The prohibitions in paragraph 2 shall not apply to such of the objects covered by it as are used by an adverse Party: (a) as sustenance solely for the members of its armed forces; or (b) if not as sustenance, then in direct support of military action, provided, however, that in no event shall actions against these objects be taken which may be expected to leave the civilian population with such inadequate food or water as to cause its starvation or force its movement. 4. These objects shall not be made the object of reprisals. 5. In recognition of the vital requirements of any Party to the conflict in the defence of its national territory against invasion, derogation from the prohibitions contained in paragraph 2 may be made by a Party to the conflict within such territory under its own control where required by imperative military necessity. I ask, if you do not support this motion, do you seriously believe that it is just to starve innocent civilians? would you like it done to your citizens?

    [Polybag] Ninjago condiment cart

Yes, some kind of decorative basket. Not quite big enough to hold a 1x1 brick but the milk carton would have been a good idea. I can however hold a couple of 1x1 printed tiles such as the cookies found in the Xtra sets. Glad you like it!
  11. Here is my entry for the Ninjago polybag competition. I decided to use lego 40078 Hot dog stand as the base. http://40078-1 by marvelBoy123, on Flickr However, there is already a hot dog stand in Ninjago city (as seen in the movie) and so I decided on something more traditional - a snacks cart serving tea, fish and dumplings. The cart http://IMG_20190512_144310795_HDR-01 by marvelBoy123, on Flickr http://IMG_20190512_144346089_HDR-01 by marvelBoy123, on Flickr The bike http://IMG_20190512_144407828_HDR-01 by marvelBoy123, on Flickr and the overall build http://IMG_20190512_144329663_HDR-01 by marvelBoy123, on Flickr I know its not completely the base of the original but I have never owned the original and so made the best I could. Hope you like it. Feedback, comments and critique are welcome.
  12. Nice, a clever idea that fits the theme well.
  13. Yeah red isn't the ideal colour I just had a lot lying around and not much else. With little time for an order I figured it was the best alternative. Hopefully I should have some better colour schemes for future builds.
  14. We are broadcasting today from the port town of Al Kuwem in southern Alsarh (D2). The President is here today to visit the latest vessel in the naval fleet. The TPV Fortune is a high tech sloop-of-war, with the latest technology including a new form of sonar location and UAV that can take off from the back for reconnaissance missions. Despite its small size it is well armed with a front mounted machine gun and torpedoes while biometric doors prevent the vessel being hijacked by pirates. It will be used to guard Alsarh's waters, escort other vessels and aim to proactively deal with the issue of the pirates in the Isle of Rahz. http://IMG_20190426_110633223_HDR-01 by marvelBoy123, on Flickr Following the recent terrorist attacks in Bandaud and New Brickia as well as the threat of the WDS, there is a strong military presence at the event today in order to ensure the president's safety. Luckily the ship has been moored in a quiet, upmarket area or Al Kuwem. The buildings running alongside the docks are the Jeberah villa (residence of renowned automotive engineer Petrov Czarin) and a large storehouse owned by a small group of traders from Toohati. *Notes outside of news narrative - Al Kuwem is a trading town which was first found by merchants from Fulshako in the 15th century, who built a town inspired by the architecture of their home country. It was then ruled by Fulshako for a short time before being given back to Alsarh. Despite this it has kept its own culture, with traditional building styles from the Fulshako area and with its people following the Malsi religion. It is officially the special administrative region of Al Kuwem and is ruled by the Imam under the Alsarhian government.* http://WIP docks by marvelBoy123, on Flickr http://IMG_20190427_103235359_HDR-02 by marvelBoy123, on Flickr *Story outside of news narrative - The traders supposedly from Toohati would - under closer inspection - appear not to be traders or from Toohati. Though their property has a few crates of fish and spices within, it is actually the site of something far more sinister. There are five of them : two within the storage area one covering the window and the other the door, the third posing as a secretary has a full view across the street - watching for soldiers, the other two are concealed on the roof of the building - one with a sniper rifle at the ready waiting for the target to enter his sights* http://IMG_20190424_170500984_HDR-02 by marvelBoy123, on Flickr http://WIP2 by marvelBoy123, on Flickr http://IMG_20190424_170521386_HDR-01 by marvelBoy123, on Flickr And the president steps up onto the ship with his bodyguard... BANG! ...*The live broadcast following this is drowned out by screams and cries and the terrorists open fire on the crowd* http://IMG_20190426_122056809_HDR-01 by marvelBoy123, on Flickr http://IMG_20190424_170945600_HDR-01 by marvelBoy123, on Flickr *The following is later broadcast* We are thankful to say that our great president was not injured in todays attack in Al Kuwem, his bodyguard received a wound to the leg but is being treated in hospital and likely to make a full recovery. The situation was handled effectively with soldiers storming the building and eliminating the threat before any others could be injured. The culprits behind the attack are unknown with no attackers taken alive or terrorist organisations claiming responsibility. Though police and military are making enquiries the perpetrators remain unknown... http://The Docks 1 by marvelBoy123, on Flickr http://IMG_20190424_171403499_HDR-01 by marvelBoy123, on Flickr This is now finished. Hope this is an improvement from previous builds. Any feedback, tips or suggestions are welcome.

[MOC] Core Galaxy Systems Dreadnaught (refitted)

    Nice, some good texture throughout.
  19. Nice, I like the flooring and the door. It is an interesting idea to come in by water - I like it. My only query is the ladder coming out of the water. Its a bit of a security risk - especially in a country with so many pirates. Anyway the overall build is great and its more a unrealistic thing than a genuine complaint. Good luck.

The Brick of Nations ---- Retired from Old Game

President Dmitrievich of Alsarh BoN Alsarh would like it to be known that they have selected their official representative for the Task Force proposed. Colonel Stan, who has served for over 20 years within special forces, military intelligence and most recently as Volkingsgrad police commissioner. He ample experience to aid the aims of the proposed force. Colonel Stan is pictured below http://IMG_20190430_183859058_HDR-01 by marvelBoy123, on Flickr

The Brick of Nations ---- Retired from Old Game

President Dmitrievich of Alsarh BoN Alsarh would be interested in joining this Task Force. We are always willing to support any way to ensure our collective security - especially having experienced such attacks within our own nation. We understand Filace's strong desire act with international interests as a central aim and would be interested in joining. We will decide on an official representative later within the process. Thanks!

    give me ideas

How about this, saw it on a website about weirdest looking construction vehicles. Or perhaps this vehicle called a walking harvester. Both are obscure and look like they might make interesting designs. As for buildings, middle eastern buildings are quite cool to build and there are lots of good pieces for them. If you have any archways or domes then you can create some very cool buildings. Hope that this is some help to you!
