    Why "and Model Team"?

I would also like to see the Model Team line come back. Few of the model like kits since then have come close to the realism that the Model Team line reached. Thus is especially true of the current line of Technic "supercar" vehicles. They are far more Technic than Model Team, including the use of Technic body panels. That's not to say they aren't all sitting on my Technic display shelves. The Creator line is far closer to the Model Team, the 1989 Batman kits and the Aston Martin are as good as any Model Team kit ever released. The Mustang and the Dodge, not quite as much.

    Why "and Model Team"?

I think that's true but nowadays almost every theme is using Technic elements.

    Why "and Model Team"?

5521, 5542, Though I will admit neither of them had wheels :)
  4. Just wondering about the name for this forum. Having been a Technic fan since the Expert Builder series came out and have grabbed every Model Team kit as they were released I have a difficult time understanding where the conjunction between these two themes lies. Technic has been on the more mechanical aspects of LEGO while the long-out-of-date Model Team line tried more to look more like the vehicles that were being modeled with little or no mechanical aspects.
  5. I've just spent a half hour on the phone with LEGO customer support. After they dug around a little they discovered that I'm not the only one with this problem and that it started with the last update of the IOS Control+ software. Supposedly the app developers are working on it and hope to have a fix in the next update. So far the only sure way of getting the app to work is to either delete it and reload it or wait until it times out, overnight maybe. .
  6. Both hubs did a firmware update the first time they connected. The connectivity problem continued after the update.
  7. I have been having one hell of a time working through the problems with the Leibherr Control+ app. Each time I completed a step and went to run the test software for that step my iPad couldn't pair up with the hub. I discovered that if I deleted the app and reloaded it onto my iPad, ran through the previous steps test. then I could connect and run the next test. After I completed the whole build I had to delete the app, download it again, run through the tests, and go through calibration, all to be able to reach the control panel to operate the model. After playing with it I turned it off by pressing each hub's green button until it blinked white at me. I come back to play with it again and I am unable to link with the hub again. Deleting the app on my iPod and loading it again, also going though all of the tests and recalibrating, I am able to pair and control it again. I forgot to add that the app locks up my iPad while trying to pair forcing my to cycle power to get control of it again. This has become a real pain and I'm starting to look at this model as only a static display.
  8. I have been trying for 4 days to connect to the second hub. The hub blinks white and my iPad doesn't show it as a Bluetooth device. I was able to connect with the first hub and downloaded new firmware. I am NOT a fan of the new control technology. I tried displaying the 4x4 at a show. I was able to connect during setup but after people started coming in I was no longer able to connect. I have heard similar stories from train people and train shows. The LEGO Bluetooth LE implementation is weak and should be redesigned.

Boxcar sliding door - Yea or Nay?

The boxcars I have built with sliding doors used the "raingutter" plates as the rails and a door that Lego made just to slide on them.

    Lego Idea Chemical Plant

Sometimes I'm afraid to support an idea since every one I've supported that reached 10,000 was rejected by TLG. Beginning to think I'm bad luck. :)

    Lego Idea Chemical Plant

I love it and could see getting two so the plant could be enlarged.

Multiple MOC at the same time

I guess I'm in the minority on this one. If I stop working on one MOC to start on another the first one gets set aside and forgotten about. More often than not it end up being disassembled later on either for the parts or the space. I never was very good at multi-tasking.
  13. Do you work on more than one MOC at the same time or are you more of a serial builder not starting a new MOC until the last one has been completed?

If I ran The Lego Group

I would bring back Model Team. Although Creator Expert is coming close to it with the DB5.
  15. I'm surprised the bag contained real Lego bricks and not some off-brand.
