Find it almost funny that I log in today and read the comments above. I rewatched CA: TFA last night and thought to myself there are a few great sets to be made of that movie, yet. Howling Commandos, Arnim Zola, Phillips, Erskine, Howard Stark This got me thinking, what is it about SW sets that drives people to buy them. I knew what tie fighters and x-wings were long before I saw any of the SW movies (sorry, but Star Wars is really not my scene). There are some sets that I have heard were base off a few seconds of screen time. Then I realised, it's the fact that SW has been around for so long that it is part of our culture. I wonder if we will end up getting sets in 20 years' time that will be considered iconic that we don't consider as such today. As for wish list, I really hope we do get a UCS Avengers Compound. Before the Punisher minifig released I would have thought it wishful thinking, but with some of the sets that have been released over the past three years, I think it may happen down the track. Would also buy anything related to Daredevil as he is my favourite character. Oscorp and Baxter buildings would be cool too.

Highly unlikely you'll be paying $50 in the US. I've preordered it from Mightyape and it is NZD$48. My guess would be USD$30 - USD$35 based on price conversions of other sets. Personally, really happy to be getting a new Iron-Man suit, especially a comic one at that.

For me there is a fine line between between letting too much out of the bag, and dropping hints to get people interested. Personally, I think that they should have released at least a couple of accurate NWH tie-in sets. I am quite happy waiting for sets if it means some other folk got to enjoy their movie experience more, but feel we could have received at least some of the the villains that appeared in the trailer. I do get a kick out of being surprised by movie appearances that I didn't see coming. I don't do social media, and I don't view websites other than tech companies and LEGO, so it is really easy for me to avoid spoilers. This meant that I wasn't aware of some of the appearances in NWH, other than those that were dropped here (wouldn't have known about AG or TM otherwise) and showed up in the trailer. I now skip the eurobrick threads until after movies have released, and only browse for admin posts, @Scarilian's updated list posts, or comments from FalconFan. There are two sides to every coin, some of us just like not knowing anything about movie before we watch it, some people don't mind knowing a little about the movie, and other people don't seem to mind knowing everything about the movie. Agree with this. They could have done at least some accurate sets with GG and DO, and then released a second wave down the track with AG SM/TM SM/Lizard/Electro etc.

Yeah, I ordered my Eternals sets straight from LEGO, and have resorted to that for a few of the new releases, including the Daily Bugle and the FRIENDS apartment sets. I normally also get a discount from Toyworld, but they aren't getting the stock down here for the sets I'm interested in at this stage, which is why I have been going to LEGO directly. My minifigs arrive this coming week, also have a box on pre-order. Haven't shopped at Toyco in a couple of years now.

I've been going into Toyworld weekly. Just saw a few minutes before that Toyco had them in stock, so should have mine in a day or two. Also pre-ordered a box, so will let you know the distribution. I also wish that they included less of the what if characters, though I wouldn't have minded as much if they included The Collector. Really want a Agatha Harkness minifig I'd love any of these characters in any form, but also prefer when they are closer to comics than the movies. I have the 2015 Winter Soldier, but I had always assumed him to be Winter Soldier based, specifically at the end of the car chase scene. Learnt something new reading your post

I also BrickLinked the pieces I needed, which were only about a dozen in total, so built the 89 GWP. Have both '66 batmobiles, the 89, the new small tumbler and the Batfleckmobile all lined up in my display cabinet. Just waiting on the The Batman to round out the collection. @Moon_Knight - nice!

I like your choice. Mine would be; Lady Blackhawk, Hawk and Dove, Dark Archer, Zatanna As far as The Batman wave is concerned, overall very happy with it. I'll be getting most of the sets day 1, with the exception of the Selina Kyle chase as there are no exclusive characters.

Sure, might be a badly kept secret, but one I still wouldn't have spoilt if it hadn't been for people not using spoiler tags. I have no issues whatsoever with it being discussed at all, but come on, spoiler tags exist for a reason, and that is what those of us that don't like spoilers have always said Exactly! Some of us don't spend time trying to find out about a movie we are going to watch before it comes out. Wouldn't have been the case if people followed the rules to begin with, so the point you are trying to make is moot...

Still annoyed about inconsiderate people "blurting" it out on this forum. I avoid the internet (I only visit bookmarked tech/LEGO sties), so if it hadn't been for some inconsiderate individuals on here it would have bee a great surprise when watching the movie/trailer. Going forward I'll just avoid this site as well when the next big Marvel movie comes up for release. Not sure why it is so hard for some individuals to understand that some of use want to know about the leaks for budget reasons and get far more enjoyment from a movie that we haven't seen yet. I now skip so many pages trying to avoid leaks that I might just as well not bother with this thread anymore.

I don't see your point. 50 minutes is a lot of time out of the day for those of us that work and have young kids. Don't follow other media, so your second comment is also redundancy. I guess I can see why it is easy for someone without other responsibilities to assume that everyone has time to drop everything in life when an episode comes out, but that is not the way the world works when you grow up. This probably wouldn't even have been a point of discussion if people that have time to follow others on sm had the extra three seconds available to use spoiler tags. Thank you!

I believe it is the following Monday, so gives people about 5 days to see the show. I am just grateful that we get the show in NZ before all the other countries as it means I almost certainly get a chance to see it before others start leaking spoilers. The last two pages prove that it is very easy for a spoiler to break into the general chat because some people are either ignorant/foolish/selfish and start replying without the tags. I think a hard and fast "Monday following the episode" rule is ideal. Any leaks or discussion about properties not yet released should be banned on this thread.

I have literally skipped the last few pages, and only look for your or FF1414's post just to be sure someone doesn't ruin anything for me. I enjoy watching a show or a movie and thinking, hey, I didn't know they were going to be a cameo or that was going to happen. There are a couple of people who's posts I completely skip over without reading purely because I know that they are more likely to drop spoilers. Yes, I am up-to-date with all things MCU, but I can still understand that there are people who may not have had a chance to catch the latest episode yet.

I like the Hulk-buster mechs too, so glad I'm not the only one. Besides, we have so many sets this year with great minifigs that even if the odd one sucks that is OK. Exactly. Keeping in mind that Marvel has a final say on what minifigs etc. we get in the sets, and also has final say in choosing the IP that get sets. I am definitely not surprised that the animated series is the one that gets the most sets. My daughter wants the Marvel mechs over any of the friends sets, so there is always an audience in unexpected places. We've bought almost every single mech that has come out, and she still isn't bored of them. As an AFOL I prefer building and structural sets, but we typically get those in the more expensive sets, which I buy for me.

I'm planning on adding those to the toy shop in my town. To me they aren't far off some of the licro builds we've seen in the HP sets. Adding the ship from last year's HP AC set to my toy shop too. We all see potential in different places

Personally, "talk about the rumours" seems a bit premature to me. I avoid all spoilers for movies as I like being taken on a journey while watching the movie. I will watch trailers to build hype, but the fact that the movie is still half a year away, coupled with the fact that the trailer hasn't dropped yet, feels like this should be discussed in another thread. The point that the moderators made is that it is an easy mistake for someone to drop a spoiler and not using spoiler tags, thus taking away the anticipation for those of use that prefer getting plot details while watching the movie. I didn't know GG has been rumoured to appear in the film, so I guess this starts to to drive home the point the mods were making.

I want the extra pieces for building buildings in any case. The large sets are often good value for money when it comes to price per part, especially if adding in the cost of what I expect to be two expensive minifigs. $550 -15%, then take away the amount that I'll get for the additional minifigs I'll sell = good value for money for the minifigs and parts I want to keep (by NZ standards). I do that with HP sets that I want for parts too, buy the sets and sell the minifigs. Often cheaper to buy the sets and sells the minifigs in NZ than it is to BL parts, especially when compared to buying parts from overseas. US has it so good when we compare prices, BL availability and LEGO shipping costs. We have to spend about $120USD to qualify for free shipping, otherwise it is about $12USD for all orders less than that. BL options here are also very limited. Few stores and stock levels are not the same as elsewhere, but to be expected as our population has only just hit 5 million, and the nearest neighbours are 2,100KM away (1,400ish miles). Do you have photos? Would love some inspiration. My two are still the vanilla LEGO builds. I did prefer the OG when compared to the new version, but size of the newer one is obviously better. Would like the AT to stand taller than the Bugle. As a side note, I do have plans to incorporate a hall of armour into the basement of the AT, with external stairs leading to the "ground floor" which would create the basement. Something along the lines of this, but haven't worked out how to incorporate it into a NYC type setting yet From what I could tell in the MCU films was that the AT stands roughly where the Met Life building is (please do correct me if I am wrong on any of this), which I think positions it behind Grand Central Station. Haven't picked it up yet as I will get it once it lands at the local toy store, but I will be using it to form the lower levels of my Avengers tower. I get a standard 15% discount on all LEGO, so don't normally buy directly from LEGO anymore, with the Daily Bugle being an exception. I need to increase the size of the Avengers tower as I haven't MOC'ed either of mine yet, so the two ATs I have are too small. Plan is to use the DB parts for lower levels then will merge aspects from the old AT with the new one, which will sit on top of the "Metlife" building. 90% finished building the Ghostbuster's FH out of parts from my parts collection and some BL orders, and also have a small order of parts I need that I placed with DB order. Plan is to finish building Manhattan island with a bridge (update Bridge Battle set) that will go to Brooklyn/Queen's. City is about 25% finished, but it will be a hybrid DC/Marvel city as it will contain Arkham Island (my next project is about to begin). It will include a Wayne Manor and hidden Batcave overlooking the city as well. Just finished building the last of the four Arkham Asylum sets from my spare parts collection with some missing parts ordered on BL. The new price for the first AS was too expensive considering how many new sets I want to get from the upcoming waves. Really hoping that there aren't great SDCC sets/minifigs dropping this year as that would impact what new sets I may then need to omit from my collection, but hey if LEGO doesn't want to release some minifigs generally I will give my money to scalpers at LEGO's expense if it means completing my character rosters. Would love to do that, but just don't have the space for it :( I have a sneaky suspicion that we will see a few re-releases of sets that have gained a reasonable amount of value on the second-hand market. LEGO acquired BL for a reason, and I reckon that they will be using info such as that to see where high-value set sales are still doing well. Think that is why we are likely to see a re-release of the Tumbler later this year, if rumour has it true. I collect the minifigs. Like keeping two copies of each character, and when I have more then I sell them. Daredevil and Punisher are my two favourite characters (Marvel and DC combined), so this was always going to be a two set purchase for me. Blade is icing on the cake. Besides, this set has great parts for building buildings, and the cab for my city is great, two is better :)
