Don’t read too much into that artwork. Stuff like that is not made by the set design team, rather outsourced artists. They are given lots of leeway in their ability to design and include characters in styles and costumes that were never intended to come to fruition—at least as they are show here.

We’re getting a Duplo Classic Electro? I must have missed that news.
Either way, I would not take that to mean we should expect a Minifigure version anytime soon...if one recalls, the preliminary images for the Spider-Trike originally showed a Classic Electro figure, new helmet and all...
But ultimately the final set gave us...the Ultimate version.

And..."contest" closed!

The best way I've found is going into the extras photo gallery and saving it from there, although this sadly does leave the "exit" button prompt visible. I've gotten a handful of screenshots so far; do you want us to upload them here onto this page when we do?
Thanks!
If you could send them to me attached in a PM, that would be great.

Yes, and I would be down for finding screenshots for it as well.
Fiddling around with the character creator, I can't seem to get characters with guns to fire from their guns. I made Flashpoint Batman, and first he wouldn't fire at all, so I tweaked it. Then he did nothing but pie bombs on both Square and Circle, for some reason. Then he would fire the bolts from his hands. Then back to square one. Really weird glitch; anyone know any fixes?
Awesome!
I spent the afternoon taking some interesting photos, I just need to actually figure out how to screenshot them after the fact.
——
I’ve noticed some weird occurrences with the customizer too, but only ever regarding the abilities. I’ve been able to get bolts to fire from a single weapon, but I’ve not tried duel wielding. I think a big issue is that the abilities can often accidentally override each other without notice, which causes all sorts of issues. So basically it’s super important to be careful when selecting buttons and their corresponding actions.

Question for you open-worlders: is the Bat-Signal on the GCPD rooftop? I went there twice and have yet to see the Signal. Thought a Batman/Commissioner Gordon selfie in front of the Signal would be pretty cool...
I haven’t checked, but presumably it is somewhere considering the fact its built on the loading screen’s micro scale model. I’ll have to look around.

I've finished the story and have spent the last day or so free-roaming around. Overall it's been great fun--the story was well done, if a bit anticlimactic I think. I do wish it had a level or two of just villains being villains. As really exploring what a world without the Justice League would be like. We got a little of that, but I just wanted a bit more as the second half of the story is far more heroic based. There were lots of plot twists and crisscrosses which was amazing however!
Some random thoughts:
-
Omega beams chasing through the speed-force!
- "Look at all those posers--I liked Kite-Man before it was cool! Kite-Man...heck yeah!"
- Driving is utterly impossible. I've taken to riding a bike everywhere. I could fly...but this is better. Plus it has a turn radius and a bell.
- My main crew is Captain Boomerang and the Riddler. I take them everywhere and when I must fly I use Banshee. I love Boomer and I absolutely love Riddler's Rebirth design--kinda hoping we get that physically...seems lazy enough for Lego to release.
-
Aside from liking his design, Riddler's search ability is necessary for those quests where you have to track down like five people--they're otherwise impossible to find!
-
Calendar-Man blowing up my phone with his dumb-ass texts about his made-up holiday.
-
Literally stealing candy from babies...I love you TT Games!
Last one:
- I've never seen/used the Camera function before (Although I think it was in Marvel 2). Still it's super fun to use, and at times utterly hilarious. I've been thinking of whipping up a spontaneous Caption Contest--members screenshot some pics from the game and then we put up a thread in Licensed for others to write captions for? Prizes would be tags. Anyone interested in this?

I’m loving the game so far!
Particularly the amazing voice cast and writing. I’ve played five or six levels so far, and all of them have been both engaging and surprising.
I’ve not really free-roamed yet, but the hubs look spectacular and I love that you are required to traverse the hub to continue the story missions. I will say though, driving is super difficult and all the cars seem to have the turn radius of a mountain.
Other random thoughts:
- I love the main theme song from the menu and the Hall of Doom. It’s probably from somewhere, but it’s spectacular!
- The level/set design is awesome—I particularly love the Iceberg Lounge.
- The last Lego game, aside from Dimensions, that I’ve played was Marvel 1–so I’m a bit surprised at how many actions/abilities can now be used with just a few controller buttons...although I find it annoying when you keep accidentally shrinking or growing when you are trying to do something else.
- The character creator is great! But my imagination was limited at the start—I basically just made Catman...the creator at the start seems rather limited and I didn’t want to make a half-baked character from the get-go.

There’s a big difference between a Theme and a Themed Wave.
The first wave of DC Superheroes was a Batman themed wave. We’ve had a Justice League themed wave. The upcoming wave of Marvel Superheroes is a Spider-Man themed wave (again). Having a wave be themed does not mean it constitutes a new Theme entirely.
I wouldn’t put any stalk in the “rumor” that we are getting a solely focused Batman Theme—we already got that in 2006. Everything is under the banner of “____ Superheroes” now—it’s just that at any given time some things can take up more space under that banner than others.

And like TLBM with the Batgirl Polybag where it’s folded and stuffed in?
Yes...?
I didn’t buy those games, but from the reporting I’ve read and researched about this game—I believe that to be the case.

I'm seeing a listing for a Deluxe Edition on Gamestop's website. Is that just the game with DLC? And Gamestop is the one that has the free minifig with pre-order, right?
From my understanding, the Deluxe Edition includes access to the DLC content and it is also packaged with the Lex minifigure. So any "basic" Deluxe Edition copy should include DLC and Lex. Certain stores/websites offer additional pre-order bonuses (such as a tin-case from Target or early DLC access via Walmart).
i.e. I don't think it is necessary to pre-order the game itself, rather one just needs to buy the Deluxe Edition to get the figure.
I'm on the working assumption that he is literally packaged with the physical Deluxe Edition copy of the game (apparently LMSH-2 did the same thing with its Giant-Man figure).

Let’s keep film discussion and the spoilers that follow them outside of this thread please.
Thanks!
-
Anyways, just as a refresher—this thread is not for spoilers.
Talked about leaked figures all you want; there is no need to extrapolate that conversation into one of leaked set photos/plots etc.
So, talk about the sets here, not the films.
Thanks!

That would be an option...
If the DLC packs had not already been named.

Me don't like that roster. There are some really cool additions...and utterly baffling omissions. No Mad Hatter. No Man-Bat. No Killer Moth?! That doesn't even make any sense--there's a physical version of him and the Scarecrow in this game is the version from the same set! Why would you just leave him out? Those three have been in every game since its inception!
I used to think that the TT games would essentially be required to include the latest (applicable) characters who could be found physically in the brick--because kids (or myself
) who own them would expect to be able to play as them in the game. It would also explain why there's just boring lackluster physical figure designs (such as Penguin and Killer Croc) oddly included next to highly detailed in-game-only characters. But what the hell! This makes no sense--obviously they must be picking names out of a hat at random.
For a villain game, there are way, too many heroes taking up the roster for my taste. I know the Flash is popular--but we need him to take up three different character slots? Multiple robins? Multiple Wonder Women?
Uh! That and no Catman. I'm just really disappointed!
-
I really hope the free roam is more akin to Batman 2 than Batman 3...
I hate it when TT games either smashes locations together (in a horribly ugly waste of space) or gives us these dinky planets with literally nothing happening. Half those Lantern planets were basically empty rocks. Honestly I would be fine with just Gotham and Metropolis if they were full worlds.
Granted, juding from the trailers, it looks like we are getting tiny smashed locations.
-
Well in the story, technically, Clark Kent/Superman disappears, but that would have no bearing on why he wouldn’t be on the character roster—for free play at the least (whether you even play him or any JL member in story mode). That character slot alphabetically belongs to Superman, of which Clark Kent is a costume variant apparently.
But no, I’m positive he has a different design than that of the newscaster—who I believe is a non-playable Jack Ryder.

Where did you find that information?
I looked up the Wikipedia page of the Cheetah character herself—specifically the section dedicated to her appearances in media outside the comics. That section listed Erica as voicing Cheetah for the game.
For whatever reason you can often find out who is voicing a character on the characters’ page, while you cannot find that same info on the games’ wiki page.
19 hours ago, BaneShake said:...possible Kite Man...
The orange question-marked figure by Detective Chimp is beyond me currently; if anyone can figure it out, please let me know.
Kite Man—Hell yeah!
The character next to Detective Chimp is Dex-Starr.
Also, on your picture you have Jack Ryder listed next to Superwoman—that is actually Clark Kent, a variant of Superman.

Hey, my USA friends, I have yet to see what retailers offer the polybag Lex Luthor Superman figure with game. Does anyone know at this point? Thanks a lot!
I believe from what I've seen and have been told, the Lex Luthor figure is "included" with the Deluxe Edition. There doesn't seem to be any mention of him from the various stores I've considered pre-ordering from (which I have yet to do).
I take that to mean that the Lex Luthor figure is literally included--as in packed directly with--the Deluxe Edition of the game + whatever bonuses certain stores included. So whoever you buy it from, as long as you buy the Deluxe edition--you will receive the physical figure in addition to store exclusives.
10 hours ago, Numbuh1Nerd said:I don't recognize Cheetah either. I can't confidently say she isn't played by a previous voice actress, but if she is, they're definitely playing it differently. It's definitely not her DCAU actress or Morena Baccarin from Batman:B&B. It might be her Injustice 2 voice, but I wouldn't bet money on it.
I didn't recognize (or remember) her voice either--but apparently she is voiced by Erica Luttrell, who also voiced her LB3.
I must say I'm really really impressed with the quality and consistency this game has for its voice actors. As a huge DC Animated Universe fan, it really means so much to just hear all these recognizable voices once again.

Putting my good-cop hat on, I declare this thread open again.
That said—keep the conversations in here civil. Personal attacks, on anyone, don’t belong here on Eurobricks.
Additionally, please keep talk/requests for purchasing and selling over in the Buy, Sell, Trade & Finds forum—not here.
Thanks!

I audibly gasped when I saw that this trailer had been released!
I may be more excited for this game than I have been for any other Lego product in a long time. Its just got everything! They even got Worf--they got WORF!
-
Thought!--the good thing about Lego is that it can be used to build other things.
So you know, nothing's stopping ya from building your own better version.
--
FYI let's be respectful around here. I find it highly inappropriate (and incredibly rude) to turn a critique of a set into a personal attack on the designer.
-
Everyone, can we not with this.
I don’t see any reason to discuss that build here—considering its not a confirmed set or a rumored set—rather it is pure speculation.
There have been instances of sets being teased in videos and pictures, just as there have been instances of background builds never being released.
While its fun to talk about—remember at this point it is all just talk.
