    LEGO Power Rangers 2017 sets!

Fake or not; I don't think there is enough tangible information anymore regarding this potential license to warrant a thread like this, at this time. If we do get more concrete information on this potential-theme in the future, I'll reopen this thread.

    LEGO Cars 3 sets

Whelp...we don't need this thread any more.

    Ghostbusters 3

We don't have any indication that we'll be getting other Ghostbusters sets at this time. With that in mind, I'm going to close this thread as there are already numerous other Ghostbusters threads open that would be more appropriate for this discussion.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

Do NOT under any circumstances, post links to leaked material or leaked pictures themselves anywhere on Eurobricks. This is serious; and I've already had to say this twice today. I will not be making any more idle threats.

General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread

Guys, please do not post leaked images or links to them. Due to the apparent level of interest, I'm going to keep this thread open. However, I prefer it that in the future we do not create new threads for upcoming themes that do not consist of any tangible information other that "we're gettin it". Threads with empty info just devolve into wishlist dumpsters. Thanks!

Marvel Superheroes 2017 - Set Discussion

Way off topic guys. Focus on the actual sets we know about--not sets we wish we had or think we will get. Thanks!

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

It has been confirmed by multiple sources that the Robin being shown in the images and sets, being voiced by Micheal Cera, is that of Dick Grayson. Clearly, the characters are also rather stylized, which accounts for how different they look compared to the "traditional" DC figures.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

Lovely sets! Clearly, Lego is going to be digging deep in terms of characters. Shocking inclusion of the Kabuki Twins! I think the Batmobile seems a bit iffy in terms of design, but Joker's low-rider is spectacular.

Is TLG allowed to use licensed parts in other themes?

It depends greatly on the specifics of the individual pieces in question. Something as unique as say Darth Vader's helmet would never show up in a non-Star Wars set. But comparatively 'generic' pieces like (certain) Hobbit hair(s), can and have shown up in other Licensed and non-Licensed sets. Presumably, if Lego makes another Castle theme (a non NexoKnight one) in the future, they would have free reign to use a number of LotR/Hobbit pieces that are generic in nature (certain hair pieces, weapons, etc.). But--not pieces that are seen as License specific, such as Uruk Hai helmets/shields/weapons, Rohan helmets, wargs, eagles, etc. That seems to answer this question--so I'm locking this thread.

    Forum creation requests

Thanks for bringing this up Robert8. This is something that has been mulled over in the past. It is possible something like this could be done in the future, but personally I myself don't see it as an immediate need. There are indeed some postings of builds, but not enough to warrant an entire sub-forum in my opinion, at least not at this time. That said, I will note that the Pirates forum and accompanying sub-forum are a special circumstance, as the Pirates forum was integrated into Eurobricks and as such is structured in a more unique manner. A more apt comparison might be the Star Wars forum--which like Licensed does not utilize a sub-forum (for individual creations). They "sticky" important topics to the top of the forum (such as 2017 threads) so they do not mix into the MOCs and other posts. The Licensed forum had used the same style, but switched over last year to the "Tower Style" which places links of all the important threads in one singular "sticky". This is the same format used in the Town forum. The switch was made to better accommodate the ever increasing number of Licensed themes--which would have overloaded the 'old' style setup. I can say this Sir Gareth, I am almost certain that there will never be a singular Superhero forum or sub-forum! It's no secret that Superheroes take up the bulk of the discussion in Licensed; so removing/separating out the theme would kill the greater Licensed forum itself. Not gonna happen! In regards to Dimensions, they do not required individual thread creations, let alone sub-forums. Ideas sets do require individual threads (Big Bang Theory, Adventure Time, etc.) but they are not full blown waves either. Dimensions are grouped into one thread as they individually do not warrant a single dedicated thread. Dimensions packs will not get their own thread in Licensed unless they evolve into a full wave or into an individual set that is branded as being something other than just an extension of Dimensions itself. So for instance there's speculation about Fantastic Beasts sets. There is an upcoming Dimensions pack confirmed for the property; so it will (and is) being discussed in the greater Dimensions thread in Licensed at the moment (because there is not enough 'info' to require an entire thread). If however Fantastic Beasts ends up getting 'traditional' Lego sets later on; then an appropriate dedicated thread will be created for it in Licensed.

Marvel Superheroes 2017 - Set Discussion

Multiple sources indicate these will become a full fledged retail line--to what extent is currently unknown. Exclusive wise--we also do not know if these figures will be the exact same ones being sold later on shelves in 2017. Price is also unknown for the retail line. The $40 'current' price is presumably a SDCC exclusive markup cost.

Marvel Superheroes 2017 - Set Discussion

These things are...cute? I've updated the first posts of the 2017 threads (DC & Marvel) to reflect this new Brickheadz line with the little information I could gather on them. This will be updated as we get more info.

DC Superheroes 2017 - Set Discussion

Guys please. This is the 2017 DC Set Discussion thread. Talk about the sets here, or don't talk at all--everything else surly has an appropriate discussion thread elsewhere. Incidentally, it doesn't help the thread stay on track when people start debating what belongs in it. Thanks!

    Star Wars Rebels

Really sweet that we got an early clip of season 3. Hopefully the full episode unveils this weekend won't be spoiled online however.

IDEAS 21308 Adventure Time Figures Discussion

Love this set! Insta-buy! I particularly adore the use of those super-duper rare black hot dog pieces for BMO's arms. Now if Lego would just stop being so damn lazy and make those Mixels ball joint pieces in colors other than grey, we'd have a lot nicer looking figures.

2012 uses Medium Lavender for the face print. 2006 used the new defunct Sand Purple color.

    71040 The Disney Castle Discussion

Welcome to Eurobricks! This set is a Direct to Consumer set (D2C), which means it is only sold in Lego stores and online. It does however have a significantly long shelf life, so it will be sold for a number of years (generally,at a minimum, one year with a D2C average of 2 years). Disney Minifigures will too most likely show up on shelves again, as Lego gets more in stock.

Its only visible on the back box view, in the chest by the fireworks. I don't know if it's meant to represent Mulan though.

    71040 The Disney Castle Discussion

Let's keep the discussion here about the Cinderella Castle set, not about Dr. Who wishlists or other potential Disney possibilities. Yes, very much not official, as they note in the article.
