  1. I'm not really sure this loosing-argument thread is necessary...clearly LEGODalekbuster523 believes this set should be officially released and clearly many others do not. There's also clearly no attempt to be persuaded one way or the other. Basically I just see this as a premature-rant thread, considering we don't even know the latest review results yet. So I'm just gonna close this... In the meantime if anyone wishes to continue this discussion, the Lego Ideas thread is more than willing to accommodate it.

The Jake figure in Bright Light Orange is accurate to the show; Jakemobile in standard yellow is not. Presumably they used standard yellow for the Jakemobile because the parts were already in production--ergo cheaper.

DC Superheroes 2017 - Set Discussion

Guys let's stop having a passive aggressive pissing contest on whose the better informant. I'm getting a lot of reports on it. Thanks! Exactly! This was discussed extensively internally. Due to the Lego Batman Movie sucking the DC theme dry set wise, we are for the time being including DC Girls with the traditional Minifig DC line. Following the end of the Batman Movie wave(s), DC Girls will branch off into their own dedicated thread. Currently DC Girls and DC Superheroes individually do not have enough content to warrant individual threads, which is why they were combined. Hopefully this gives members a better idea of why the current set up is the way it is. Ergo, blame the Lego Batman Movie!

Let's all stop listing character names please. It does nothing but confuse people later on. We'll find out about the CMFs eventually and until that time let's also stop anouncing open-ended questions about character inclusions; pestering sources is not a good way to get information now or in the future. Thanks!

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

I took all the Arkham figures with gloves and belts--speaking of Catwoman specifically--to mean that the Arkham institution just haphazardly throws uniforms on its prisoners. It suggests that they are still wearing their uniforms under the prison garb; hence the non standard gloves, hats, and orange belts. The belt is "orange" because it is under orange prison fabric.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

Well I love the interior of this Arkham far more than the last one. This version has personality and far more play-ability--undoubtedly stylistically the old version looks better in general, but I think this version will be more fun to own. Where as the last version was basically about dumping off villains at the facility (with large cells and not much else), this version focuses on what those villains do after being dropped off. The visitors room, cafeteria, laundry room, recreational yard; all focus on living at Arkham and that greatly adds play-ability. Even the guards get more opportunities here from the walkways to the x-ray scanner and police car. Also "don't tap on glass" for the win!

On second contemplation, I'm more surprised with Arkham than anything--especially when compared to its three/four year older brother. This new Arkham has more pieces, four more minifigures and is ten dollars cheaper! Shocker--Lego must be going crazy. Plus it continues the trend of only putting Poison Ivy in the most expensive of sets!

    Star Wars Rebels

I'll be honest and say I didn't really like the second episode. There was way too much setup for a 21 minute show and as such there was really no payoff *. It seemed strange that Kanan and Ezra were again talking about the merits of the Sith holocron after they already had seemingly-resolved discussions about it--let alone that they were suddenly on a ship headed towards a friendly transport that was apparently attacked, and at the same time Maul is back and has captured the Ghost & Friends without alerting anyone which was also out in space for some reason and...yada yada yada, you can see my point. That and a retread of the Bendu spider-bit; everything was suddenly introduced and concluded. I felt like I was watching a two-part episode on fast forward. And this really should have been a two-part episode. Narrative issues aside, I did like some things, particularly Maul's humor and the hilarious TV head droids he used as muscle men. Plus we did get to glimpse a bit more of the elusive interior of the Ghost. * On payoff; I don't think it's a good direction (or suggestion) to seemingly send Maul on another revenge mission against Obi-Wan, which it seems is being alluded to. That's getting very very sketchy timeline wise. Enough is enough Maul, get some other life goals already!

Let's talk about the (two) sets we do know about, instead of all the other sets we know nothing about. A discussion about a possible cent+ increase in CMF cost doesn't seem like it belongs here. Focus on the sets--not the pennies people! Thanks!

I'm on PS3. It is possibly a system thing, as I seem to recall my Lego Batman 2 needing to go to a load screen when moving between the three areas of Gotham, while newer systems could seamlessly transition to them. Either way, it's rather annoying to double load essentially.

Are you at the correct height level? Perhaps they are underwater. Or they show up on the map but must be accessed through certain means, such as the TARDIS (which was a rather cool bonus area by the way). On glitches I've only had two so far. Once the game froze when I teleported to the Shard after complete the Adventure Time level, and another more serious one when I was in the A-Team world and I stopped a clothing store robbery and suddenly could not add (or successfully remove) any more characters--had to shut the game down completely on that one. Incidentally does anyone else find it strange that one must essentially use two gateways to enter the new worlds--first you must teleport to the Shard and then to the new world. So far I've not found out how to just teleport directly to a new world without having to go through two load screens, even when using the main gateway. It seemed far quicker (and more awesome) on all of the early access gameplay when they just used a launcher to throw the minifigure to the Shard. Wonder why they changed that?

I don't know about everyone, but they don't all use the original actors. Dumbledore for sure has a new voice, while others with only a few lines use archive voices. Quests as in interior rooms--five or six? They're more like puzzle rooms than quests. Places like the Great Hall and the Chamber of Secrets. I have discovered in the process though that Voldemort is rather powerful. His Killing Curse area blast has no trouble decimating a dozen+ Death Eaters in one hit, which is rather cool.

    LEGO Dimensions Discussion

There is no year two overall story; and no real continuation of the year one story--which was completed really. This I think is the reason for individual Story Packs, which basically add a new six-level Lego game to Dimensions. -- Yesterday I picked up the Adventure Time level/team packs, Harry Potter, and the A-Team for my PS3. I didn't have any logistical issues regarding downloading the content, although it is a bit of an enthusiasm killer to have to wait an hour for downloads after just buying the stuff. I've only played them for a few hours, but here are my initial impressions: Adventure Time overall is spectacular. The open world is really nice and crammed full of detail. The level is alright I would say. It's a combination of the two episodes "The Enchiridion!" and "Mortal Folly", although they are really just thematically played back to back and there's no attempt to connect the two distinct parts together story wise. I'd say the second half of the level is the better half, although both are absolutely stuffed with Easter Eggs. And I'm talking deep stuff. For instance, Finn's special take down move involves him jumping in the air and then pulling out of his backpack a unique (and not normally playable) sword to zap his enemy--its that sweet lighting sword from "Dungeon Train" we all remember, you know that one sword that Finn used for like less than a minute, that one and only time, across hundreds of episodes! Clearly the designers are big Adventure Time fans! I will note one the reasons I found the level less than satisfactory was the music. Adventure Time music is really unique in sound, should I say, and the issue is that its really just flat out annoying after twenty minutes and worst of all, horribly loud. I had to turn on the subtitles to even grasp the conversations. Dimensions really needs to add in a music volume option, as opposed to on or off. Also something I noticed, in the Adventure Time level you'll come across a Green Lantern power up tool--ala Lego Batman 3--to be apparently activated (only) at this time by Supergirl (in her Red Lantern form). That seemed like a bit of a slap to the face. The Adventure Time packs mostly use archival voice acting, although I believe Finn has some new lines recorded for the game. I'm not sure about LSP or Jake, as I mostly played so far as Finn and Voldemort. However, the archival voices do give us some great wins too, as they include the voices of Mark Hamill and Ron Perlman (as Dungeon Wizard and the Lich respectively). They did spice up the dialog from the episodes too, adding in some lines not from the main source episodes. Speaking of dialogue, onto Harry Potter, and the devastating voice work. Archival voices is are great for authenticity, but unfortunately in Harry Potter's case they really disappoint. Voldemort's dialogue is alright and somewhat relevant (especially when he takes a mini-kit or red brick, saying something along the lines of "I must keep you safe"--as if he were talking to Nagini). But Harry across the board sounds awful--it honestly sounds like they had Daniel Radcliffe come into a very echo-y studio at some distance away and read random script lines with no emotion whatsoever. I mean of course it's actual movie dialogue, but it's just all wrong; I don't know what is up with it--worst of all the content does not fit the Dimensions scenario in the slightest. All that said, the Harry Potter world is perhaps one of the best open worlds in Dimensions. It seems truly massive, and it encompass the entirety of Hogwarts and huge swaths of the surrounding wizard area. I've only started to explore this particular feature, but the year two worlds seems to include a number of "interior" rooms, allowing you to go inside many buildings--however it also appears that these are one time entrances in a sense--you must complete the room fully otherwise you'll loose your progress in the room and have to start over again when you leave and return. It's also a truly inspired choice by the designers to set Hogwarts during the winter, which while not only looking spectacular, also sets it apart from most other Dimension worlds. This does lead to some funny quirks too, such as all the wizarding folk throwing snowballs at Voldemort when they move out of the view behind you. On A-Team, it seems good. I honestly don't know anything about the show, but it seemed like a fun pack so I picked it up. The A-Team world like Ooo and Hogwarts seems much larger than year one offerings.

Marvel Superheroes 2017 - Set Discussion

Well clearly Red She-Hulk was chosen on the basis of making the set a mirror image of itself rather than on the basis of her non-apparent popularity. Personally, I love the Hulk set because of how fun it looks. We've never seen a Superhero set like it before and as far as I can tell a big draw is to simply swoosh around the vehicles and smash them into each other demolition derby style; something target-market-kids would love. I don't think we should be surprised if that thing sells like hotcakes.

    Star Wars Rebels

Yoda's line in ESB is clearly a problematic (if not potentially spoilery) statement in regards to Rebels, and one that has apparently been at the back of the writers minds since the series started. This is evident in regards to golden-child Ahsoka in which it was made painstakingly clear that she "is no Jedi". If anything that's just to cover bases in regards to expanding her future if they so desired. Now what does this mean for Ezra and Kanan? It does seem that Ezra is sliding to the dark side, which could mean that by the time of ESB (which judging by the start of Rebels S3, could be 5 or 6 years later) is too no longer a Jedi (as he's Sith or something). But what about Kanan? I'm worried about him; he seems far more likely to be killed than Ezra. Whatever, as long as he gets a kiss from Hera first, I'll approve! Granted I'll note that I do think it was a bit of a blunder to include Leia in an episode where she's clearly seeing some Jedi business going on. Either this was a foolish continuity mistake or an issue that must be rectified later on with the deaths of our favorite Jedi. On the season three premiere, it was spectacular. Just some thoughts: Ezra is clearly evolving into a better character overall--if not a somehow more cocky and annoying one--but nonetheless a more interesting one. I like that he's falling to the dark side as it's far more engaging that typical Jedi-goodness. From the little that we've seen of Thrawn thus far, he's an imposing and impressive character. Finally an Imperial with some brains! And best of all we get a sweet red-eye transition shot. Seeing Governor Pryce was a plus, considering how often she was talked about in season one. And Kallus is back! But he doesn't seem to be hiding his conscience very well. All the new character costume designs are great--I especially like Zeb's open shoulder look.

No he will not be doing that, because as we all know, Eurobricks is not a dumping ground (like Reddit) for leaked images. Leaked images that can get people in deep doo-doo. This site has changed, but not by that much!
