    You also have the fact that the designer of DD originally planned to make a car dealership, but made DD instead. Being so open about it makes that unlikely as a set, as they probably would have kept it a secret if that was to be released in the future. And a petrol station/garage is quite similar.

    I dont see a garage fitting in. Would not be a traditional modular with a facade... not really sure how that would play out

    Apparently they heard it from a lego store salesperson. Another possibility is GG being the set released on nov 1st, so therefore an addition to next year’s annual modular. It would fit nicely with the idea of lego going «green».

    Rumours on brickset forums that the next modular is green grocer rerelease. Must be taken with a large swimming pool of salt, but still, a fun rumour to discuss. I would personally be glad if this were to be true, as I haven’t got the original, and it is way too expensive to get from private resellers/investors.

    Good point. I also think western themes are a bit far out for the younger group. So which number will the modular for 2019 have?

    I think its very different with the Taj Mahal. It is the building itself in focus, not the religion. The same would be a release of a church as a microscale landmark set. However, with minifigures etc joining the set, the figures are religious, and then promoting a religion. And politics and religion has gone hand in hand for a very long time, and still is for many, many countries. So I don’t get the comment on religion not being connected to politics.

    So no buildings, just roller costers and wind turbines... wish they would focus more on minifig scale modular buildings, in other eras as well, such as castle, wild west and such.

    I agree. A church is a religious symbol and would exclude parts of lego’s fanbase. Would also damage their image as a non-political company.

    Couldn’t be better. I really like it. Can be easily turned into a modular once winter’s over. Especially for us who dont have the modular fire station.

    Ah, glad to see a fire truck included. This can even be modified a little and fit perfectly with the other modulars, for us who don’t have the modular fire station.

    I actually really like it. The station has some great details and the minifigs and accessories, apart from the snowman and christmas tree. What worries me is that I dont see a fire truck. And isnt that the whole point of a fire station?

    I agree, and another factor that supports this is the policewoman from DO. Usually leaks appear in sept-oct, but last year was different. Nothing was showed until sometine in november. Quite unusual. Hope we see something before that.

    Next year will probably be Winter Village Cat Cottage, so the firemen have somerthing to do (save kittens from trees)

    I liked DD, even though I wont buy it, because it doesnt fit with the other buildings. Im hoping for a more traditional look this time. A library or museum would be great. I havent seen that many mentioning a University, but I think that would be a great addition. The town also needs to offer higher education for the lego people. Another must is a courthouse. The lego crooks cannot be judged or put to jail if they havent been convicted buy a court of law :) so per now all my lego crooks are roaming free in lego city, including those from brick bank.

    Dont get why they wait so long to reveal it. I dont really like the red colour, but ill wait till the official release before I let myself become disappointed. Was actually looking forward to a rerelease of the cottage, as I dont have that one, and its way too expensive now.
