Looks great, Eric! I have a couple of questions: 1. How many sections required to make a 90* curve? (4 like Lego?) 2. Any idea when the quad straight rails will be available? Thanks!

Absolutely beautiful and instantly recognizable--just like the real thing. I dont comment on many MOCs, but this fantastically done model of my favorite airplane (I'm a pilot by trade) was irresistable. Now I have a reason to join cuusoo. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for the images, Grogall. I find them all to be uninspiring, as if price was a much bigger concern than design, particularly evident in that poor excuse for a hospital. I despise the nose piece of that helicopter and every other aircraft it's appeared on, though Lego seems intent on getting their money's worth out of that mold. Oh well, saves me money in the long run.

I'm impressed with the level of detail and quantity of awesomeness you were able to fit in one MOC. Spectacular!

The same people who would want a helicopter that doesn't fly? -
I believe this minfigure was given out to Lego factory employees, or during the factory tour, if my memory serves.

If there's a bunch of: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=6215&in=S in light gray there, you probably have something Santa Fe, as those were the only sets that had them in quantity.

I can relate. I bought a MISB Metroliner from a well known Bricklink seller that was selling his tremendous collection last year. I could only dream of this train as a child, so as an adult, I had to buy it. I own most 9v trains and all the PF trains(converted to 9v)...and NOTHING compares to the Metroliner, in my opinion. Watching it go around my layout is magical. They just don't make trains like that anymore... Congratulations.

Train sets 7727 and 7722 also had forklifts. They're from the 4-wide era, so they're a bit more simple and have the "classic" charm.

You can't have Jersey without a diner, pizza shop, or bagel/deli!

8110 small cylinder leaks air

They offered me one on the phone--I told them to keep it and send me the right part when they get them in. It's not easy being a purist. -
Here you go: http://cache.lego.com/bigdownloads/buildinginstructions/U-4086.pdf I was able to use a couple pieces from my collection, including a 2x8 black plate with holes, snapped onto the center peg of the 9v motor, to retain the original interior of the motorized car.

Forgive me for oversimplification, but is there any chance your fingers or hands are interfering with the signal from controller to receiver? I have large hands and had this problem initially, and still have to remain conscious as to how I hold the controller. -
Hello, You're doing it correctly, with the exception of pressing "auto fill max". You want "auto fill min" then "add selected items to cart." Purchasing parts/adding them to cart does not remove them from your wanted list.

Sometimes small runs of parts in otherwise unavailable colors are produced for the model shops at the LegoLand parks. I can only assume that some of these parts never get used, or eventually are unneeded once the display is changed and they then "find their way" into the hands of others. I would personally not pay big money for any single piece, citing the example of the Maersk Blue construction helmets that were selling for over $200, before the new Maersk Train came out...containing 3 of them. Now they sell for about $5.
