[OL-FB-Fort] Floating Battery and Barracks
Ross Fisher replied to Jeff of Clubs's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I love this build. A great concept, and well-executed. Ideas like this really work for this game. -
Kings Port Advertiser and Ship List (Vol. 7, Issue 1)
Ross Fisher replied to Capt Wolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
The Mayor of Nola Mar, Chapter Master Helmut Von Braun, is willing to begin preparations. -
And, some time later, the priest did return to the people of the Tyree'dee. And he warned them that a great war would be brought down upon the men of the Lotus. That many great tribes of the East would band together, to fight them. And that together, they would overthrow them, and drive them back from from seas. And the Tyree'dee understood, and waited, and watched. Taken from the record of the Tyree'dee.

[OL - FB] Return to the Tyree'dee
Ross Fisher replied to Ross Fisher's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
@NOD @blackdeathgr Thanks guys. I had to make these with just parts I got for Christmas. The fence was a rubbish version of one I'd done before. Not sure it worked, but I like the builds overall. -
[OL - Trade Company] Le Bellan Shipping and Freight (LBSF)

Honestly, this is well deserved. An excellent start, and I hope it's the beginning of many adventures for the LBSF. -
Nice build. What happens on a rainy day?

[OL - FB] Return to the Tyree'dee
Ross Fisher replied to Ross Fisher's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
@Jeff of Clubs This one? Thanks! That's Achua behind his chief in the top photo. @evancelt Not quite, the Tyree'dee are the locals. They fought alongside Oleon and Carno against the Lotii: -
[OL] The continuing adventures of Archbishop François by his companion, Monsieur Gallo
Ross Fisher posted a topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
This is where I'm putting all my ongoing stories about Padre François. They will go in chronological order of his timeline, rather than IRL. The four surviving François siblings, from eldest to youngest, and from left to right: Hercule François, the Vicomte Guemain, is the head of the family, and holds the sole hereditary title. He is largely concerned with the running of the estate. In his spare time he is a connoisseur of wines, and has built up an impressive cellar in the Chateaux Guemain. Celeste Dupré (neè François) is both an accomplished mother (with two sons and three daughters) but also a renowned beauty and sharp wit. Invitations to her private salon are highly prized, and her book on etiquette and realpolitik in the Royal court has been reprinted a dozen times Padre Jules François you will come to know. Pierre François, the "Chevalier de la chasse", Lieutenant in the Royal Musketeers, and a favourite of the king's back in his days as a carousing young prince. These days he has lost favour, his career has stalled, and his fondness for wine, women and horses is catching up with him. The Dupré Family; François' Sister, Brother-in-law, and his nieces and nephews. From left to right: Celeste, the Duchess Dupré. Monique Dupré; her youngest daughter. Amand, the Duc Dupré. Eldest son Emile Dupré, the Marquis de Guenin. Young Hercule Dupré, the Baron de Boudenelles. Eldest daughter, the recently betrothed Lucille Dupré. Middle daughter Diana Dupré. The Gran Military Encyclopedia of Oleon
Ross Fisher replied to Keymonus's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Unit name: 1ere Légion Pénale Type: Light Infantry Uniform description: Grey and white striped penal fatigues. Grey fatigue trousers and forage caps. Non-commisioned officers distinguished by black infantry shako, black epaulettes. Gear frequently embellished, defaced, or augmented by legionnaires. Any irreparable damage results in time added to sentence. Commissioned officers and soldiers who have completed their sentence are permitted to wear civilian clothing. Equipment description: Standard infantry musket. Recruitment center: Royal Courts of Justice, Granoleon. Unit history and description: With increasing instability in the kingdom, the dungeons of the nation are becoming over-full of criminals. Keen to solve two problems at once, Chancelier Calida proposed that petty criminals be shipped off to Oleon's colonial territories, to fight against insurrection, and to help provide labour for new infrastructure. The judges have only been too keen to support this initiative, sending waves of criminals overseas to face uncertain futures. Moreover, the new bottom tier of commissions available has allowed ambitious groups of lower-class gentlemen a chance to earn rank within the military. The Légion hasn't been a runaway success; desertion is rife, and the wisdom of arming criminals has been brought into question on more than one occasion. Nonetheless, for now, the Légion persists. Campaigns: Pacification of Guelph Unit motto: Tempus fugit More about this unit: -
The Empire of Eslandola: Sign-Up and Discussion, Era II
Ross Fisher replied to Capt Wolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
@Bregir I would also recommend having the item numbers of all the parts on hand before you load up BnP. The website times out really quickly (on mobile at least), so it isn’t possible to research an item number if you have things in the basket already.- 233 replies

So who's going to be building new military units now that Eslandola has a new uniform torso? https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=973pb4538c01&idColor=48#T=C&C=48- 233 replies

[OL - FB] Homestead - Fort Arltrees
Ross Fisher replied to CapOnBOBS's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Great build, nicely done. Looks suitably frontiersy. -
A really great build. Very Star Wars in appearance, so it naturally gets my vote. ... I'm being told that, as an Oleonaise, I don't get a vote. You've got my good wishes instead!

I did one a while back, but it wasn't perfect: https://flic.kr/p/2dZSZBJ More of a punishment cage than a full execution chamber. -
Shipwrights Guild Hall (WIPs, feedback, and advice)
Ross Fisher replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
@Jeff of Clubs sounds perfect. Some other thoughts; you could make it unbalanced: have structures hanging off one side that aren't balanced on the other. I always think of hulks sitting in the Thames estuary, off-kilter in the mud (probably thanks to Great Expectations). Put cages and things like that on the deck. Hang gibbets from the yardarm. A big set of doors halfway up the side. -
Nice tea. It'd be a shame if someone were to... tip it all into the harbour.

Shipwrights Guild Hall (WIPs, feedback, and advice)
Ross Fisher replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
@Jeff of Clubs While I'm totally not an expert here, I'd really like to see it with a couple more hull sections included. Would be a whole lot more realistic. I'd really like to see a prison hulk build. Would be fascinating, and you could license it anywhere. But I think you'd have to strip down a lot of the redundant parts, like yardarms. Maybe add more flotsam around the water line. Keep going, and let us know how this evolves. -

The ultimate sacrifice. Honestly, this is a really cool move from you. I don't know if I would have the strength of character to do this.
