    REVIEW: 6809 XT-5 and Droid

Fantastic review Clone O'Patra! I can definitively relate to a longing for the older-style kit, I think that the encouraged alternate builds and the simplistic play features really gives classic space a kind of charm that you don't find in a lot of themes today - no factions or teams or crystal/jewels/gold to hunt for! but maybe that's just the nostalgia goggles... still, this is an awesome review nonetheless! What a great find!

A new MOC from a new Pirate!

Thanks for the Advice Bjornu, unfortunately I don't think I have any space big enough to wall-paper yet, I might just scale down and start watching my lighting a bit more The positive support is much appreciated I think I've made the right choice in coming to Eurobricks

    Hi There!

Thanks Dr. Spock! Over on the Pirates MOC sub-forum I've started a thread if you'd like to leave some feedback on how I can improve http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=56283

A new MOC from a new Pirate!

Thank you Admiral! My inspiration for the squid came from slightly older literature that POtC; Some of the drawings done by early mariners and scholars like Pierre Denys de Montfort have really inspired me and defined how I imagine a lot of pirate-lore creatures eventually I'd like to be able to re-create this particular painting, but baby steps for now

A new MOC from a new Pirate!

Thanks for the feedback Paul! I think the scene might be bordering "over-crowded", but you only get one first MOC and I thought I'd try and cram in as much as I could! I like to imagine that in the rush to get down to the beach-front the cannon has misfired, catching the poor diver as he swims out to help those on the sinking ship

    Hi There!

Hello to everyone at Eurobricks! I've been lurking here for about two and a half years and after some coaxing from family and friends I've decided to take the plunge and "get involved" with the AFOL community . I've learnt a heck of a lot from watching and reading here over the years so I'm looking forward to getting to finally talk to such an awesome (and active) group of enthusiasts! I'm University student from Perth, Western Australia. I've been a life-long Lego builder, but have just come out of whats probably more of a "grey age" than a "dark age". I build mostly in the the evergreen themes (Space, Town and Castle) and Pirates, but hey! If its Lego then I'll build it!. I've also just started hosting my MOC's on Flickr; http://www.flickr.com/photos/vickrion/ Unfortunately theres not a whole lot there at the moment, I've only really recently started photographing my work... I'm a bit of a perfectionist and have only really started to produce stuff that I think is at a minimum "Eurobricks" quality So anyway, Hello!
